"f**k you," the words had left her mouth as he hissed in pain, of course, the coffee had burned his chest, but he was still thankful she did not throw it on his face. "who throws coffee on black clothes, Jaan?" he asked amused as she made a crying face. "I hate you," She said stomping her foot on the floor like a kid before she walked out of his cabin. "Your new cabin is on your left," He spoke a little loudly as he saw her turning towards the right. Adya stopped and stared at the cabin door in anger before she facepalmed herself and walked to the left. Adya had not even settled onto her chair when the intercom rang, "One coffee please as you ruined the previous one," Vansh said on the intercom as Adya sighed. She had no other option but to oblige. "coming up, sirrr" She knowingly stretched the word 'sir' to show her helplessness. Getting a coffee for Vansh she walked toward his cabin, she was about to walk in when she heard a hiss. "Looks like I burned him bad," she murmured to herself before she walked back to her cabin and got hold of the burn relief gel. She had it because she had burned her fingers last night in his thoughts. "Your coffee, sir," Adya said as she opened the door and walked to his cabin. Her eyes fell on his naked chest as he wiped it with a wet towel. "This... may help," She said and looked away from him. Keeping the burn gel on his desk, Adya licked her lips, avoiding looking at his naked chest. he had built abs now. Abs! She was about to walk away when a finger caught hold of her long sleeve, her steps halted as she turned to look at him. her eyes softened for a second as her eyes fell on the redness on his chest. "warming your eyes now, are we? Jaan?" He said when he saw her body responses maybe she did not even notice. a slight red hue coated her cheeks as she looked back into his eyes, "Ek waqt par haq tha mera," the words left her lips even before she could control her tongue. (once upon a time, it was my right) "Aaj bhi tumhara hi hai," He uttered as his pinky finger that was holding her top's sleeve now reached to her palm. His head hung low. (It is still yours) "It's not the same anymore," she said as she pulled her hand back from his grip. Hurt flashed in his eyes as he gulped. "Burn me all you want, kill me even but please, please give me another chance," he was on his knees this time. Adya's throat filled with so many emotions. She wanted to reach to his level and take his lips in a kiss and make mad love to him but, there was always a but in her thoughts. he left her once, what if he does that same thing again? "No," She whispered as he nodded. "Burn me all you want, I promise you'll be the only one to soothe these burns," he said as he held the burn gel in his hand. "Take this back," he said keeping the tube in her hands. "Apply this, your chest is burned," She said but he shook his head. "Zakham tumse mila hai, marham bhi tumse hi chahiye, Verna nhi," he said as she frowned. (The wound came from you, the ointment also needs to come from you, otherwise not) "stay burned then," She said and walked out of the cabin, He knew this time holding her or stopping her would be of no use. She needs to agree on her own. a little after lunchtime, Rohan Raghuvanshi's call on her made Adya smile. "hi, uncle--" "Come to the cabin with a first-aid kit now, Adya," his voice was trembling as Adya gulped. Walking to Vansh's cabin with the first aid box in her hands, Adya saw Rohan Raghuvasnhi dialing a number on his phone rapidly. "Dad I am fine," Vansh said as if sitting with an open shirt with a burn wound on his chest was the new normal for him. "Shut up, if Myra came to know of it, she would skin both of us alive," That man surely loved his wife too much to be this scared of her. "um, can I come in?" Adya asked for permission. "Adya," The old man was glad to see her. "Call the doctor, his wounds need some treatment and arrange some ice as well," Rohan said as Adya's gaze went to his now wound that looked even worse than the previous one. "Uncle Ro, trust me I will handle all this but you should rest in the penthouse, your blood pressure is increasing," Adya said as she held his wrist for a few seconds. "But--" He was about to protest when Adya nodded her head at him. "Trust me," Rohan Raghuvanshi nodded before he walked out of the cabin, when he was out of sight, Adya closed the door putting a lock on it. "You were not this much burned earlier, what did you do? Vansh?" Adya asked as she moved towards the mini-fridge. "The coffee was too hot," he said as Adya narrowed her eyes at him. "You burned yourself again," She stated, this time it was not a question. Vansh took his teeth between his lips, he did not have an answer this time. "This is so stupid of you Vansh, you can get infected, it can leave a mark, do you even know how much this is going to hurt until fully healed, I was in pain for so many days when I--" Adya took the ice available in the room and started looking for a clothe. "When you burned your fingers accidentally in our kitchen, I remember," He completed the sentence for her as she realized what she was doing. She was caring for him again but it was not the time to think of all that. "Do you have a handkerchief or something?" She asked ignoring his words. "yeah," he said pulling out one from his pocket, Adya took it and opened it before her eyes fell on something. it was the same one she had stitched his name for him "th-this?" her hands were shaking as she held that one. "Um-hmm," He said. "Why do you still have it?" She asked. "Jaan, you made it yourself when you did not even know how to hold a needle, this... this is more special to me than my whole life, how can I not have this," He asked as she gulped. "It's been... years," She said. "Treasures are meant to be kept safe for centuries," her breathing stopped for a second as he nodded. "The ice," he said making her come out of her thoughts. "yeah," she said keeping the ice in that special handkerchief, she pressed the ice on his burned chest looking at him. "This is toxic," She stated after a few minutes of silence. "When were we not?" He replied the statement with another statement. "Winning it again huh? ointment and all, your words are fulfilled," She said applying the cream on his chest. Trust me when I say he was happy to see the helplessness in her eyes. her fingers working with the gel that ent coolness on his body wound but his heart was still in pain. "I did not mean physical wound when I asked about ointment back then," he said as she stared into his eyes. "Go home and get this checked by a doctor," She said before she moved back and went out without sparing him another glance. At that moment, he knew he had hurt her badly.
