Chapter 5: Lycan King

Willow's Point of View It was never easy for me to decide. I love my mother and my two brothers. They are the reason why I am still alive and did their best to refrain our father from killing me. Knowing my mother was ill, I only wanted to run back home. "We're going to visit our grandma?" Connor was very excited. He took all his clothes out of the cabinet, pulled the bag he frequently does whenever he's out for a quick tour, and slid all his clothes inside. Unlike Carter, he was just silent and busy with his puzzles. Nonetheless, Ethan was behind, helping me pack our things for our quick visit back at the Crystal Leav Pack. "Are you a hundred percent sure you don't need me?" Ethan squinched my palm, urging me to answer his question because he was anxious. "There's no need, Ethan. As you've said, there will be enough bodyguards looking for us. Besides, I don't want to hinder your Alpha duties…" Ethan groaned before pulling me for a tight hug. "I'm going to miss you." No matter how much I wanted Ethan to accompany us to my old pack, I couldn't let him do that. Some elders and his siblings suspected him of being weak when his mate died, and some gossip circulated that I made him down bad for me and that Ethan would do everything I wished for. They think I bewitched Ethan when I have no powers at all, and they could kill me anytime. A gossip like that doesn't affect me anyway. I know it's not true and will never be. My fingers crawled to his cheek, gently caressing it whilst ogling at his mature physique and handsome figure. Furthermore, Ethan's lips crept to my hand and then kissed it as he frequently does. The diamond ring on my finger shimmers. People frequently gawk at it whenever I walk past them. Mostly because I am known as the Alpha's girlfriend, and his pack was astounded when he announced our relationship together. There are countless reasons why they are astonished, and one example is I'm wolf-less, yet he chose to be with me. "f**k, I'm going insane knowing you'd come back to the pack that hurt you—" I trailed him off. "Hush, Ethan. I'm already moved on." "But that doesn't mean I'll let you go alone with our pups." I chuckled softly before turning around. "Your pack would fan their anger at me if they found out their Alpha left with his silly little human. Would you still want to leave knowing Lando was on the loose?" The gentleness in his eyes switched. It turns into a worried and upset stare. "What if you won't come back?" He muttered, which made my heart shriek with the abrupt question he asked. "What if—" "Let's move the wedding. Let's not prepare further and proceed to the wedding as soon as I return. How about that?" I challenged him. Gradually, Ethan twitched his lips so that it went up after his ears. "Jesus, you're not joking with me, right?" "I want to marry you." This time, I was the one who proposed to him. His beta, Reid, saw how Ethan and I shared the breathtaking kiss we frequently do whenever our pups aren't here. But after hearing my twins whining again, Ethan was the first to take himself away. Saying goodbye to Ethan and some of the dearest friends I had at the Crimson East Regiment made me emotional. Especially when I will vanish for roughly two weeks or less. I don't know. It depends. But thank God, Ethan gave me four of his best bodyguards that could fight ten each simultaneously. "You better come back before I gatecrash your father's pack and kidnap you, Willow." Ethan reminded me. I chuckled. "I'll be back before you know. Don't worry; you're the man I will always love!" "Mommy, let's go! I'm excited, mommy!" Carter exclaimed. "Bye-bye, Ethan!" Connor waved his hands. As we sailed far away from Ethan, I took my twins from the window. I am horrified that something stupid might happen to them, and my system wouldn't be able to accept it if someone got hurt. However, I was engulfed with a million trains of thought. No matter how much I tried not to worry about my loved ones waiting for me, it became a colossal rock stumbling after me. For sure, many people would wonder now that I went back. There might be gossip circulating about the useless daughter of the Alpha going around, which I won't ever focus on. I'm already tired and fed up. I was used to it. Hearing it became a hobby. In fact, it became my motivation to keep going no matter what harsh words they threw at me. But if they try to harm my pups, I don't bother cradling to my death, protecting my childer no matter the circumstances. "Wow…" Carter uttered the moment he saw the massive kingdom a few kilometers away from the port. "Castle! Castle!" "Can we go there, mommy? I want to see the castle! It's where the King and Queens live, right?" I smiled. "Yes, sweetheart." "I want to visit the castle, Mom!" Carter exclaimed. "That's not the reason why we're here, Carter. We're going to visit Grandma, and then we'll leave afterward." That's right, Willow. Keep in mind that it was your mom whom you were going to visit and nothing else to stop by. My brothers had some men to accompany us at the pack house. I was biting my lower lip just by roaming my eyes around as we continued to detour the highway up to the packhouse. My pups are excited as well. It took us several minutes before we arrived when I took my phone out. "It's nice to have you back, Lady Willow," Eratu, my brothers' bodyguard friend, gave me a huge smile. "Who is he, Mommy? He was drawing all over his arms!" Conner exclaimed. Eratu's eyes fell down onto my children. "Are these your pups, Lady Willow?" he seemed shocked, as everyone does. A small faint smile crept into my lips. "Yes. They are mine, Eratu. Where is Giovanni?" "Oh, I'll call him. Please wait here." I let my pups wander around. The backyard of the packhouse is safe, and guards are surrounding them. I took out my phone to notify Ethan that we just landed after hours of sailing. However, there seemed to be no signal in the area I was standing, so I took a few steps more and kept calling his number without looking at what was ahead of me. I groaned as I felt my forehead bumping into a hard as f**k wall! Upon upheaving my gaze up, I froze to where I was standing, realizing it wasn't the wall I hit but a person who was as hard as an iron fist! Scanning his face confounded me, realizing it was no other than Conrad Silverado! "I…" I stuttered in astonishment. My whole world stopped. The wind stopped oozing, and my pups' chants were silenced behind. I felt enraged, embarrassed, and nonchalant as f**k seeing Conrad again. But upon drifting, my eyes on the woman beside him fanned the burning fuel deep within. "Willow," Conrad uttered, using his stoic yet ballistic voice. I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself, calling his name the gentlest way I could. "Conrad." "Manners, woman. He's not just a mere human you can address however you like! He's a King; pay respect and bow down to him!" Morgana, who was beside him and wearing an extravagant dress yet appeared to be his mere dog in my eyes, asserted.
