Sakari POV "Sakari, you better be ready for school!" "Yes mom!" I grabbed my school bag before looking in the mirror, checking to see if I looked okay, which I did and walked out of my room to go downstairs into the kitchen. "Morning guys..." "Morning princess," My dad said before giving me a kiss on the cheek. I looked around the kitchen to notice that one person was missing, "Where's Shakir?" "In his room, he should be coming down soon actually." Shakir. My twin brother. My parents decided to name us close together just because were twins and personally, I hate it. "Okay, where's Lukas?" My mom smiled knowingly, "With his dad probably discussing his duties once he becomes Alpha." Oh yes, I forgot to mention the fact that I'm a werewolf and since that's out of the bag I might as well tell you more about myself. My full name is Shakari Cascella and I'm 18 years old. I have light green eyes, brunette hair, which is currently dyed black and a caramel-like skin tone. As you know I have a twin brother called Shakir, who also has brunette hair but he dyed it blonde, he has green eyes and the same skin colour as me. My parent's names are Theresa and Luther and we all belong to "The Dark Moon Pack." My dad is the beta of the pack; well he was the beta of the pack... long story. "Sakari!" I snapped out of my trance and turned to face my dad, "Yes daddy?" He tapped his watch, "School time." I looked at the clock on the wall, "s**t, I'm gonna be late!" "Language Kari..." "Sorry mom!" I shouted before running out of the house towards my car. I got my car for my 18th birthday which wasn't long ago, I got the Kia Sportage in red and I absolutely love it! I was about to get into the car when I was twisted around and kissed and I immediately melted into their arms, and their was only one person that could do that... Lukas Knight, future Alpha. "Leaving without me?" He said against my lips and I pulled back and smiled. "I didn't know where you were and I was gonna be late," I replied honestly. "Sorry about that babe, my dad called me to handle some of the pack business." "It's fine Luke, you're here now." He smiled, "That I am." He leaned down and gave me a peck on the lips. No, Lukas isn't my mate but I love him like one and I know it's going to be really complicated when we do find our mates but I doubt that will be happening for a while. "I'll drive, it's the least I could do after Ikept you waiting," he offered. "Well, if you insist." He chuckled and I walked around to the passenger's side and got into the car while he got in the drivers seat and drove us to school. *15 minutes later* He parked up in the usual spot. "Wait here for one minute." I looked at him confused but did as he said and he got out of the car only to walk over to my side and open the door for me. "My lady..." I smiled, "You are too sweet." "Only for you," He gave me a peck onthe lips and interlaced his fingers with mine before we walked into the school building together and I couldn't help but steal glances at him every now and then. Arthur has short blond hair which he always leaves messy but manages to make it look sexy. He has brown eyes and his skin tone is only slightly paler than mine. "Ogling me again are we?" He said with a smirk and I bit my bottom lip and blushed while looking down to the ground. I looked back up at him once my face went back to it's normal colour to see his eyes had turned to a darker black, a sign that he now felt lust. "Luke, snap out of it!" I clicked my fingers in front of his face and he closed his eyes for a while. When he opened them again, they were back to their normal colour. He rubbed the back of his neck, "Sorry." "It's fine..." "You know how I get when you do that Sakari." "I know and I'm sorry, just control yourself, we can't have you attacking me in the middle of the corridor can we?" He gently pushed me back against the wall and trapped me in front of him. "Would you mind that?" He said seductively and I stood there speechless, "Nothing to say?" I slowly shook my head and he leaned down to kiss me. He bit my bottom lip and I parted my lips so that his tongue could meet mine and I wrapped my arms around his neck while his hands went to my waist, pulling me closer to him. "Ugh, I'd rather not witness this.." I pulled away from Lukas and looked to my left to see my brother with his hands over his eyes and I just laughed. "You don't have to look Shakir." "I know but you're late for class and I was made to get you, by the way, your eyes are black." I closed my eyes for a while until I knew for definite that they were back to their normal colour before I opened them again. "That's better; now hurry up before I get into trouble for taking too long..." I smiled and looked back at Lukas. "Meet me at lunch?" He nodded, "I'll meet you at your class and we'll walk together." He leaned down and gave me a peck on the lips before letting me go, "I love you Sakari." "I love you too Lukas." I gave him a smile before walking off to my lesson with my brother. "I don't like that guy..." "Why? What's wrong with him?" He shrugged, "I just get a bad vibe from him but you obviously love him so I bear with it." "Awwwww that's sweet." "Whatever but what about when one of you finds your mate?" He asked in my surprise. I sighed, "We haven't talked about that yet." "You should, you never know when you'll find your mate," he said in point. "I know..." We stayed silent the whole time we were walking to the class because I just don't think we knew what to say. We walked into our lesson, which was English Literature and all heads snapped towards us. "Why are we late Miss Cascella?" "Got held up." "I'm sure you did, one more late and it's detention, understand?" "Yes Sir..." "Good, now take your seat and thank you Mr. Cascella." My brother nodded and went to take his seat as well, which was 4 rows in front of me. I took a seat next to my best friends, Renee and Sam. "Held up? More like pinned down," Renee burst out laughing and I justblushed and looked down. "Miss Samuels, is there anything you would like to share with the class?" Renee shook her head, "No Sir, I'm sorry for my outburst." He gave her one last look before going back to teaching the class. "I hate you guys" I muttered under my breath. "We love you too Kari." I smiled and looked back up to listen to Mr. Ferreira until I heard a voice that annoyed the hell out of me. "What does Lukas even see in her?" Melissa muttered under her breath. She's human so she doesn't know that I have advanced hearing and I could hear what she was saying from 3 rows behind. "I know right, she's not even that pretty," her sidekick Kelly replied and I could feel anger course through me and I knew my eyes had changed to red, it always does when I'm angry. "Sakari?" I didn't reply, I was a bit too angry to reply. "Kari, calm down." I started to calm down, until I heard her voice again. "I'll show him what he's been missing with me and he'll leave her for good." I could hear the smirk in her voice and that just got me angrier. "Sakari, calm down now before you shift in the middle of class, do you want to get revealed?" That automatically calmed me down, so I took many deep breaths and closed my eyes for a while. I opened them again and looked at Renee and Sam apologetically. "Sorry..." "It's okay, why did you get so angry?" "Melissa and Kelly." I could see a hint of anger in their eyes as well, "I see." Renee and Sam aren't actually werewolves but they know everything about us because I told them, I couldn't not tell them, they're my best friends, always have been. My parents and Lukas was okay with me telling them but the Alpha thought differently. Let's just say that he was angry for a very long time until he finally let it go and welcomed them, so now they can visit whenever they want. "She can never just keep her mouth shut," Renee stated through her teeth. "Miss Samuels, last warning before I give you a detention." "Sorry again Sir..." He shook his head slightly before once again turning back to the class and we continued the rest of the lesson in silence. *Lunch* I walked out of Biology to see Lukas leaning against the wall and I practically ran and jumped into his arms. "I missed you too Sakari," He said with slight amusement in his voice. "Sorry," I stepped back a little. "Just a bit excited to see you." He grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him, "How about you show me how excited you really are." He said in a low seductive voice and I smirked, "With pleasure." I was about to lean up and kiss him when we got interrupted. "Not again!" I smiled and leaned away from Lukas to look at Shakir, "Okay fine, we won't do any PDA in front of you, okay?" "Thank you!" I took Lukas' hand and Shakir put his arm around my shoulder. "So little sis, how was Biology?" "You're older than me by 2 minutes." He smirked, "I'm still older." "Whatever and if you must know, Biology was okay, nothing I couldn't handle." "I heard you nearly shifted in English Lit, I didn't realise," he teases. I sighed, "Sam told you didn't he?" He nodded, "Melissa and Kelly are two bitches that are out to annoy me and if Renee and Sam weren't there, I probably would have ripped their heads off in wolf form." I heard Arthur chuckle from beside me so I punched him in the arm, hard. "You think it's funny?" He gave me a sheepish smile but didn't say anything so I punched him again. "Ow! Sofia, what was that for?" "You think Melissa pissing me off is a joke?" "I didn't say that." "You know what Lukas? Go and eat with the jocks and their girlfriends, I'm sure they'll laugh with you!" I grabbed Shakir's sleeve and dragged him into the canteen to where Renee, Sam, and Shakir's friend Damon was. "What's wrong Kari?" "Lukas." "What did he do?" "I told him the incident with Melissa and Kelly and he laughed about it." She looked at me shocked, "Why would he laugh about that?" "I was hoping you would tell me," I looked at Damon. "Hey Damon." "Hi Sakari." Damon is a werewolf and he is part of our pack. He's also Shakir's best friend and he's like another brother to me. He has brunette hair that goes over his eyes which are brown, pale skin but has a very well toned body. "He's coming this way." I didn't turn around but I didn't need to, I could practically smell Lukas' scent behind me. "Baby, I'm sorry..." I looked at my nails, refusing to look at him, "Oh really?" "Yes, can you please just look at me, I hate it when you're angry at me." I sighed and turned around to face him only to see the hurt in his eyes. "Continue..." He sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, "I didn't mean to laugh, it just came out and I didn't mean to upset you. I'm really really sorry, can you please forgive me?" I continued to look into his eyes and I could see the sincerity in each of his words so I stood up and pressed my lips to his for a short while before I pulled away and looked into his eyes, "I forgive you..." He smiled and gave me a peck on the lips, "Thank you." I took his hand and we both sat down at the table, joining in with our friend's conversation. *After school* Arthur opened the passenger door for me and I smiled gratefully before he took my hand and we walked into the pack house. "Mom, Dad!" "We're in the lounge Sakari!" Me and Lukas walked into the living room only to see my mom, dad and the Alpha. "Dad, what's going on?" I asked curiously. "We're leaving." "Who?" "Our family, we're leaving the pack." I looked at him shocked, "Why? What happened?" "You don't need to know the reason princess, it's complicated, just know that we're leaving in 2 days so make the most of it while you can..." I looked at the alpha and narrowed my eyes at him, "This is your fault." He raised an eyebrow at me, "Excuse me?" "It's your fault!" He stood up and looked down at me. "Watch your tone little girl before Ido something I regret," He said in a menacing voice. Lukas stepped in front of me and challenged his dad, "Don't you dare threaten her like that." "Move aside son, she needs to know her place, she has no right to disrespect the Alpha." "And you have no right to talk like that to the future alpha female." I could see his face falter a bit before he replied, "She isn't your mate, she can't be the Alpha female." I felt tears well up in my eyes before I ran out of the room and up to my own. I lay down on the bed and just cried into the pillow, that statement just made me even more upset because it was so true. The alpha female has to be the mate of the alpha, it's the rules and seeing as I'm not Arthur's mate, I will never be an Alpha female but that doesn't really matter now because I'm leaving the pack completely and I'll never beable to see him again and that thought just brought more tears to my eyes. I heard a knock on my door, "Sakari?" I didn't reply but I heard the door open and I felt the bed dip beside me and I looked up to see Lukas staring down at me. "He didn't mean what he said." "It doesn't matter, it's true, we're not mates." "But we love each other, doesn't that count for anything?" "Of course it does but... We'll eventually find our mates and we won't be able to be together, not that it matters nowbecause I'm leaving..." "I'll come with you." I shook my head, "You're the future Alpha, you can't abandon the pack for me." "But I don't want to let you go either." I looked down and whispered, "You have to." I lay back down on the bed and I felt his arms go around my waist. "Can I hold you tonight?" I turned myself around and looked into his eyes, "Please do." He pulled me closer to him and I lay my head on his chest, wanting to be as close to him as possible but I knew this moment wouldn't last so that's why I needed to make the next two days as memorable as possible.
