HMA Chapter 3

Sakari's POV

"Do we have to go?"

"Yes Sakari, it's a ceremony."

"So? Can't I just stay here?"

"We're all going, that's final."

I sighed and let my mum do the finishing touches on my hair. I don't even know why I'm getting dressed up for this thing, it's not like it's anything important.

"Kari, stop frowning."

I put on a fake smile and my mum nodded. She gestured for me to look in the mirror but I just walked out of the room, I know she done a good job, she always does when it comes to events like this. I went downstairs to meet my dad and brother and they smiled when they saw me,

"You look great Kari..."

"Thanks Shakir, you look quite handsome, planning on picking up girls?"

He just winked at me and I laughed and looked at my dad, "Hi dad."

"You look beautiful princess."

"Thank you, mum done a good job."

"That I did."

My mum walked into the lounge and put her arm around my dad's waist and he put his arm around her shoulder,

"I think we should go then, we don't want to be late for our own ceremony." I smiled and we all walked out of the house towards where the ceremony was being held.

I haven't seen Darius since I left his study; thankfully, I don't think I could handle looking at him right now. I was still kind of angry at him, which is why I said I wouldn't forgive him until he's sure he wants to accept me as his mate.

I was in my thoughts for quite a long time because I realised that we were at the ceremony already and I was shocked to see how many people there were.

"Ah, here are the people of the night... The Cascella's" Darius announced and the whole crowd turned to face us and I'm not scared of crowds or anything but the way everyone kept there eyes on us when we walked through made me a bit self conscious so I looked down to the ground the whole time,

"They will be joining the pack and this ceremony is to formally introduce them to all of you" I looked up and Darius winked at me which just made me blush even more, stupid Alpha.

"First of all we have Luther Cascella," My dad waved, "Theresa Cascella."

My mum smiled, "Shakir Cascella."

My brother winked at some of the girls and I rolled my eyes, "And finally, we have my mate, Sakari Cascella..."

I put my hand up to wave butI stopped midway because I just realised what he said, he introduced me as his mate, oh s**t!

"Your what?"

I looked at my dad to see his angry face and then I looked back to the crowd to see that everyone now had shocked faces. He wasn't supposed to say that! I growled at Darius and walked otff back to the pack house, if he thought that telling everyone that I'm his mate was going to get me to forgive him, he was off by a long shot.

"Sakari!"

I stopped walking and turned around.

"What do you want Darius?"

"What did I do wrong? You told me to prove that I accept you and I did."

"I didn't mean to announce it in front of the pack and my parents! You are such an i***t!"

"I didn't know! I just wanted everyone to know that you were mine..."

"By doing that?! Are you f*****g kidding me?!"

He moved closer to me and I moved back, "I'm sorry."

I shook my head, "You've said that too many times..."

He started moving towards me again but I put a hand out to stop him, "Don't come near me."

He winced at my tone of voice, "Please, don't leave..."

I shook my head and turned around. I decided to go for a run so I shifted, not caring about my now ripped clothes and ran into the forest not even bothering to look back at Darius, he's just really annoyed me now and I needed to let go of my anger.

Darius' Pov

She shifted and ran into the woods and I just stood there watching her run off. I was considering running after her but I knew that wouldn't help anything, she was angry enough already and I don't want to make matters worse so I just starting walking to the pack house. I know that the ceremony was still going on but without Sakari there, it's pretty pointdess.

I walked into the pack house and went straight up to my room and when I walked in, for some weird reason Francesca was lying on my bed, let's just say that she's the pack slut if you wanna put it that way.

"Francesca, what are you doing here?" She sat up and smiled at me, "I saw what happened with that girl and thought you might need some cheering up."

"She's my mate; she was just a bit angry."

"Didn't look that way..."

"Well it was that way..."

"Sure it was."

She got up from the bed and walked over to me. She grabbed my shirt and pulled me closer to her,

"What are you doing?" I questioned,

"She doesn't have to know." She turned me around and pushed me onto the bed and I just lay there speechless, I should be stopping her right now but my body was in too much shock. She walked towards me and climbed on top of me.

"Francesca don't..."

"Stop me if you want to then." For some reason I couldn't bring my arms up to push her away, "Didn't think so."

She leaned down to kiss me and yet I still didn't stop her! This is what I used to do before Sakari came into my life so it's nothing big but I have a mate now; I can't be doing this,

"Darius?"

I pulled away from Francesca and looked tovwards the doorway to see Sakari staring at the two of us with both hurt and anger, but more anger. In a flash she pulled Francesca off of me and pinned her against the wall, kind of like what I did with Tina,

"Why do you have your hands all over my mate?!" She shouted.

"He needed cheering up" She managed to get out.

Sakari growled at her, "Don't test me!"

I decided to step in so I stood up, "Let her go Sakari."

She turned to face me and I took a step back because her face was just clouded over with anger.

"Do not use the alpha tone with me!"

I sighed, "Baby, just let her go, she's not worth it."

"Banish her."

I looked at her shocked, "I can't do that."

"Are you siding with her?"

I shook my head, "No! Definitely not, it's just that, she technically hasn't done anything wrong."

"You're right." She loosened her grip and Francesca ran out of the room as fast as she could and Sakari turned to face me, "You're the one that has done wrong..."

"Calm down baby."

"Don't 'baby' me! You think you can go around kissing other girls behind my back and not get caught?!"

"It wasn't like that, she kissed me first."

"I didn't see you push her off of you! I'm supposed to be your mate!"

"You are my mate!"

She walked up to me and I took several steps back until I was pushed back against the wall,

"Am I?" I nodded, "Then I'd like to know why you were all over that girl."

"I wasn't all over her; it was the other ay round, I would never do that to you."

"You just did!"

I grabbed her wrists and twisted us around so that her back was against the wall rather than mine.

"Listen to me Sakari."

"No! I refuse to listen to you! Was this what you felt like when you were betrayed?! Was it?!"

"Yes! I'm sorry!! She forced herself on me and I was too shocked to push her off but I swear to you, I did not kiss her first!"

She was still angry but she now had tears coming out of her eyes, "I hate you so much."

I flinched, "You don't mean that."

"I do, I hate you for making me like you in such a short amount of time..."

I let out a breath of relief, "You like me?"

"You hurt me so bad and I stil like you."

I smiled, "I like you too."

"It doesn't matter."

I looked at her confused, "Why?"

"Because I don't want you to talk to me anymore..."

"Why not?"

"You don't deserve me as a mate" She growled and I sighed,

"I know but I want you as my mate Kari."

"Don't call me that."

"Fine, Sakari, I want you as my mate."

"Well I don't want a mate who deliberately hurts me..."

"I don't mean to hurt you."

Her eyes were normal colour now, "But you do, Lukas never hurt me like this."

I could feel anger run through as she said his name but I pushed it back down,

"Just give me a chance."

She shook her head and more tears started to come out of her eyes.

"I can't get hurt anymore Darius, I've been here for 2 days and you've hurt me more than anyone else, I can't go through it anymore, I'm sorry..."

She pushed me away from her and was about to walk out of my room when I grabbed her wrist again,

"I'm not losing you."

"Too late."

She yanked her wrist out of my grip and walked out of the room and I groaned and added another hole to my wall. I've messed up 3 times now and it's going to take a lot of begging to get through to her now,

"Darius."

I abruptly turned towards the door, "Yes Rhylie?"

"One of the Omega's spotted Lucie on our territory."

I growled, "Do you have her?"

He nodded, "Take me to her."

He nodded and walked out of the door and I followed close behind him. We walked out into the garden to see her being held by 2 Omega's and surrounded by other wolves, now this is what I call good security.

"I told you what would happen if I saw you on my territory Lucie."

"Darius please! I just wanted to say goodbye!"

"You had that chance. You are trespassing and you know what we do to trespassers."

"Tm sorry! I'll leave, I won't come back here again, I promise, just don't kill me."

"Enough!" I bellowed, "I've heard enough of your voice for one minute!"

"What would your mate think? Knowing that you're a murderer?"

"Do not bring my mate into this!"

"She's right though."

I turned towards the back door to once again see Sakari, "If you kill her I will hate you with everything I have in me, I despise murderers."

"And I despise trespassers, betrayers, liars, cheaters" I turned back to face Lucie, "Fakes, users, people that lead you on, everything that you are! I despise you!"

She flinched at my tone of voice and I was so close to shifting, that's how angry I was,

"Darius, calm yourself down now!"

Seeing as Sakari is my mate, she had the power to calm me down, so I followed her order and calmed down. I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths before I was fully calm. I opened my eyes and Rhylie looked at me worriedly, "What do we do with her?"

Sakari walked over to me and took my hand, "Escort her off of the premises, makes sure she gets off the land and that's an order."

"Yes alpha female."

They turned around and walked into the woods, keeping a close eye on Lucie and I turned to look at Sakari confused,

"Don't give me that look Darius."

"As much as I love the feel of your hand in mine, I'm still confused."

"I realised that you need me more than you think, we balance each other out, if I didn't come down today, you probably would've killed her, am I right?"

"Sorry to say but yes, you're right."

"Exactly and even though I'm still angry at you, very angry, I want to be by your side."

I smiled, "So you're giving me a chance?"

She nodded, "Yes, I am."

I turned to her and picked her up and she squealed and wrapped her Iegs around my waist,

"Thank you so much."

"Just don't mess it up okay?"

I nodded, "I won't mess it up, I promise."

I leaned down to kiss her and as usual, I felt the surge of electricity flow through me. I bit her bottom lip and she didn't hesitate to let me in which I guess was a sign that her anger towards me was slowly fading, thankfully.

"Alpha..."

I reluctantly pulled away from Sakari and turned towards the doorway to see Luther.

"Yes?"

"I would like to talk to my daughter."

"It's probably about me as well so I will come with you..."

He nodded and walked into the house, "You can put me down now."

"Nah, I like holding you."

I carried her into the house and into the lounge to see Luther, Theresa and my mum all sitting in silence,

"Did someone die?"

They all looked at us, "No."

"Then what's going on, not being rude but I have alpha duties to attend to and I would like to spend some time with my mate..."

I saw Sakari blush and she buried her head into my chest, "No disrespect but as an alpha, this is highly inappropriate."

I narrowed my eyes at Luther, "Do not tell me what is and isn't inappropriate Luther, the way you just questioned me as an alpha is highly inappropriate, I am your alpha, address me as such."

He nodded, "Sorry."

Sakari unwrapped her legs from around my waist and I let her feet drop to the ground. I walked over to the sofa and she came and sat next to me.

"What is it that you wanted to speak about?"

Theresa cleared her throat, "We would just like to know why you didn't tell us that you were her mate, as her parents, we had a right to know..."

"That you did but it was not my place to tell."

"He's right mum and the fact that he announced it in front of the whole pack made things worse." She said through her teeth, I guess the anger is still there then.

"Yes, that wasn't a good way to be told."

"Blame this i***t next to me."

She hit me round the head, "Ow! Why did you hit me?"

"That's for telling everyone we were mates," She hit me again, "That's for doing it without my approval..." and then she hit me a third time, "And that's for everything else..."

I rubbed the back of my head, "That actually hurt Sakari."

"That was the point." She gave me a peck on the lips, "Now half of my anger is gone."

I smiled and turned back to her parents and my mum to see them smiling at us,

"I see you've accepted it then?"

I nodded, "After she begged me-"she hit me round the head again, "Ow okay! After I realised how much I was hurting her, I asked her to give me a chance so she did."

She leaned her head on my shoulder and I could've sworn that the pain in the back of my head faded, "Well, as long as you don't hurt her, she's still my daughter..."

I shook my head, "I won't be hurting her again, she has a very hard hit."

I could see that she was about to hit me again so I grabbed her arms and gave her a kiss, "I'm joking baby."

She smiled and gave me another kiss before I let go of her arms, "Darius..."

I turned to face Rhylie, "What now?"

"We have Francesca, what should we do with her?"

I looked at Sakari to see her eyes filled with anger,

"I'll take care of her," She said with every word laced with venom, "Yes alpha female."

She stood up and followed Rhylie and I knew I had to follow her.. This wasn't going to be good.
