Chapter 7
Damien Steel

I should’ve walked away the moment I saw her. I should’ve told my wife that her daughter couldn’t stay under the same roof with us.
That would have been the smart thing to do.
But I didn’t.
Instead, I told her she was welcome at my home.
Elena.
Her name felt different now.
Last night, she was just another fling, someone I never intended on seeing again.
But now… she was sitting in my house.
She couldn’t hold my gaze. And when she looked at me, it seemed like she realized that she had just walked into a trap.
My jaw tightened slightly as my mind replayed the moment our eyes first met. I saw the shock, panic, and fear on her face.
I also felt the same way, but I forced myself to act and stay composed.
It was an unexpected curveball, but I didn’t let it shake me.
As we ate, I noticed how she reacted to every one of my moves. I could tell that she remembered everything that went down the previous night.
Good.
Because I did too.
Even after I’d left the hotel room, I still remembered every second. Every sound. Every f*****g thing we did.
And the memories gave me a hard on.
I exhaled slowly, forcing my thoughts back under control. Whatever was about to happen was dangerous.
I liked Lily, and I didn’t mean to sleep with her daughter. Maybe it would have been prevented if we hadn’t rushed into a marriage.
But I couldn’t blame her.
I was the one who told her I didn’t want to waste any time.
“Damien, honey? Are you okay?” Lily asked gently, and I nodded, breaking out of my thoughts.
“Sure,” I replied, carefully picking up a napkin and cleaning the food particles from my mouth.
By the time I looked up, I didn’t see Elena anymore. She must’ve left for her room. I was lost in my thoughts and didn’t even notice when she left.
“Eliza… how long is she staying here?” I asked Lily, turning to look at her.
Lily laughed. “Elena. Her name is Elena.”
I knew.
How could I forget her name?
I did that on purpose because I didn’t want her mom to get the slightest idea that we had even met each other.
“Oh,” I muttered. “My bad.”
She brushed off my concerns with a dismissive wave. “It’s fine… you’ll get used to it soon.”
Lily was such a sweet soul.
I always wondered why I found myself cheating on her.
A deep exhale left my lips. “Sure. So how long do you think she’ll be here for?”
She shrugged. “I don’t know… but maybe for a few months.”
A few months.
I didn’t think I would be able to control myself for that long.
Just looking at her, I was still tempted to rip her clothes apart, bend her over the dining table, and bury my c**k in that tight little p***y again.
The thought made my d**k twitch hard against my zipper.
Fuck. I needed to stop thinking about her.
“Is that okay with you?” Lily continued.
I forced a smile. “Sure.”
Lily stood up from her chair and kissed me on my forehead. “You’re the best,” she said cheerfully. “I’m sure you’ll love Elena.”
She had no idea.
“I’m going out with some friends for Pilates,” she added, grabbing her keys. Perfect. “Make sure to check on Elena later. I love you.”
“I love you too.”
The moment she walked through the front door, I let out a relieved sigh.
I sat there for a moment, staring at the empty seat across from me. A few months. Lily wanted her around for a few months.
If I were a better man, I would make her leave right away. I would find some sort of excuse for why she couldn’t stay with us.
But every nerve in me was screaming to f**k her again. And that was likely to happen if she remained under my roof.
At the same time, I didn’t want to betray her mother like that for the second time. I didn’t want Elena to do that to her mother either.
I just had to find a way to suppress my urge.
And I had no idea if Elena still wanted me like that.
Well, there was only one way to find out.
Lily told me that I should check up on her.
So that was my chance to talk to her in private.
I stood up and made my way upstairs.
I walked over to her room.
But as I was about to knock, I hesitated for a beat. What the hell was I about to do?
If we f****d again, there would be no going back and I would create a whole mess.
Did I really want that to happen?
“I’m just checking up on her. It doesn’t mean anything,” I whispered to myself.
Liar! I was lying to myself.
After contemplating for a while, I decided to go back to my room. I didn’t need to check up on her just to see if she wanted me or not.
If she wanted me, she would find me herself.
From the way I f****d her the previous night, I already knew that she wouldn’t forget about me so easily.
She was probably still thinking about my c**k.
But as soon as I turned around to leave, her bedroom door creaked open. I wanted to increase my pace so she wouldn’t see me, but it would just make things awkward.
Before I could even turn around, her voice echoed through the quiet hallway. “What were you doing here?”
Her voice didn’t sound friendly.
It was filled with pure disgust.
