Early the next morning, I went to the HR department to submit my resignation report. My supervisor was taken aback when she saw it and, considering my relationship with Alexander, didn't want to make a decision without consulting him.
She asked me to wait in the office while she called Melody.
Just as I returned to the office entrance, I received a call. When I saw the caller ID, a shiver ran down my spine.
I clenched my teeth and answered. After a pause of more than ten seconds, a voice came from the other end, "Rainie, I've said it many times, everything you do is my decision. Sit down and get to work, and don't make me remind you a second time."
