Elara's pov The next time I woke up, I felt an immense pain in my head. My whole body ached like I had wrestled with a thousand men. Battling to regain my freedom was enough of a struggle to throw me off momentum. I'd never felt weak like this in a long time. The only time I had was when Dimitri had forced me to scrub all the floors in the pub every day for seven nights as punishment, on the fourth day, my pains trembled the minute I picked up the brush. I managed to scale through but after the seventh day, I passed out cold. I thought I was going to die from exhaustion, but I survived.
