The Return Home

I wake up to feel something wet under me. I had bled. Glad I put that towel under. I wake Kai up to see what he wants me to do with it.

Kai: Just throw it away. I'll explain it to my boss.

Me: You're going to tell your boss you took your fiancé's virginity, and she bled on your towel so you threw it away?

Kai: Right. Sounds weird.

I laugh and step out of bed to throw it away. I take a change of clothes and go to shower. Kai follows behind. I put my hand on his chest, stopping him.

Me: I am going to take a shower.

Kai: I wanna join. Now I can take you in the shower.

Me: Kai, you're such a freak.

Kai: No, I'm just gonna enjoy everything alot more.

He winks at me. I just rolled my eyes and headed into the bathroom. Kai gets in first, gesturing with his finger for me to come. I get in with him and he instantly starts kissing me. He backs me against the wall, kissing, sucking, and biting on me while putting the shower on.

Me: Let me clean up first if your going to try to have s*x again.

I wash the blood off me and begin cleaning everything else, or at least I try to. The moment I move to another area, Kai bends me over. He slides right in and starts thrusting inside me. I place my hand on the shower walls to keep from falling. He runs his hand down my back as I moan with each stroke. He grabs my waist, pulling me up so that my back is against his chest. I reclean myself and got out of the shower. I grab a towel and dry off.

I stormed the bathroom, slamming the door. WHAT THE f**k WAS HE THINKING? I quickly get dressed and pack my bags. Kai comes out of the shower with a towel wrapped around him.

Kai: Melanie--

Me: I want to go home.

Kai: But--

He shook his head. He dries off and gets dressed. He packs his suitcase and loads everything in the car. We drove back home and not a word was said. When we arrive back home, Lilly and Briggs are outside. I said hi and continued into the building and up to our apartment. Kai follows me in. I headed straight for my room.

Kai: Melanie, talk to me.

Me: That's stupid what you did!

Kai: Not really.

Me: Are you serious?!

Kai: Melanie, we're engaged. We'll be married soon. So, yeah, sorry, but I really don't see what I did wrong.

Me: Your unbelievable! I scoff.

I sit on the bed, and he squats down in front of me. I start crying. He lifts my chin up and looks me in the eyes.

Kai: Whatever comes from that, we'll get through it together. I promise.

He wipes my tears away and I smile. He kisses my hand. He gets up and sits on the bed next to me and pulls me into his lap. I gave him a hug. I calmed my nerves and we left my room. Lilly looks at me and she screams.

Lilly: You guys had s*x!

Me: Lilly!

Lilly: Your glowing! Kai, you can thank me later.

Kai: I definitely will sis.

We're all sitting in the living room laughing when there's a knock on the door. Briggs gets up to answer it. It's Leon and Monica. Her belly has gotten a little bigger.

Kai: Hey guys. How is my little niece or nephew doing?

Monica: Good. The doctor says everything is good.

I hold Kai's hand knowing we will one day be going through this. Leons make drinks for everyone. Monica looks at me.

Monica: How was your anniversary?

Lilly: They had s*x.

Me: Lilly!

Leon does a spit take. We all turned to look at him. Monica looks mad.

Monica: Shocked or jealous?

Leon: Neither.

Lilly: I know your gonna clean that s**t up!

Leon grabs a rag and starts cleaning up. After he finishes, he asks Kai to step outside. Making Monica more mad. They went back inside. Leon whispers something to Monica, and she looks at me. Kai comes and gives me a kiss.

Kai: Work emergency.

Me: Ok babe. See you tonight?

Kai: Sorry love. I'll probably be out late. I'll call you though.

I pout. He's always working. There hasn't been much time for me lately. I know his promotion requires more of his time, so I don't think anything about it. I smiled and gave him a kiss. He leaves with Leon.

Me: What was that about?

Monica: Can we speak alone?

Me: Sure.

We head off to my room. Once inside, she closes the door. She waits a while before she starts speaking. She sits on the bed next to me and grabs my hand.

Monica: So I'm guessing what Lilly said is true? Did you guys have s*x?

Me: Yeah. It was amazing.

Monica: OK then for my next question? Apparently, Kai was reckless. Are you ready for the consequences of that action?

Me: I love Kai and Kai loves me. He assured me that no matter what happens, we're in this together.

Monica: Honey, I would wait.

Me: Why? It's a beautiful thing. Besides, look at you and Leon. You guys have a baby on the way. And you all haven't been married long.

Monica: Listen sweety. I just don't think you should have a kid right now.

Me: Why are you so against it? It's our life.

Monica: BECAUSE I DON'T THINK KAI IS RIGHT FOR YOU! He's been acting off, and I worry about you. I know we started off on a bad note, but I care about you.

Me: Thanks for your concern, but we'll be fine. We love each other and that is all that matters.

Monica: Alright Mel. Don't say I didn't warn you.

She gives me a hug, then walks out of the room. Kai and I are in love. Nothing can shake up our relationship. I headed back into the living room. I spent the rest of the day hanging out with Monica, Lilly, and Briggs waiting for Kai to call.
