Mac answered his bell while still trying to figure out how to tell Natalie what his mother had done. When he swung the door wide, Natalie stood, wearing a huge smile and holding a bottle of wine to go with the dinner he’d ordered. “Judging by the smile on your face, the news you have is good.” “Kind of.” She stepped close, and her smile faltered. “We’re gonna need this.” She handed him the bottle.
