Chapter Nine:The pain.

"how dare you".lady Marie said angrily as she wiped her face,everyone was shocked.

"I am really sorry".I said mockingly.

"leave the house,you will stay outside tonight".lady Marie yelled.then I looked at thaniel expecting him to defend me but he said nothing.

"So you can't even defend me,I am embarrassed to have you as my husband".I said angrily and left.

"just imagine her rude behaviour".lady Marie said angrily as she sat down.

"Your son's wife is a rebel you had better control her or else she will cause trouble".lady Martha said she was happy that her I humiliated her sister.

"We should try to understand her,she doesn't seem like a bad person".lord mattew said, he was a kindhearted person and they disliked him.

"the puppet decided to defend her,look mattew we don't need the opinion of a weakling".Brandon said angrily.

"I am full excuse me".thaniel said as he stood up and left.

"he is a coward mother".Draco said.

"let's focus on our food".lady Marie said.

I sat under one of the trees it was raining heavily and I was shivering,there was no one to help me.I thought about my family,it would break thier hearts if they know that I was suffering like this.

"Come with me".flair said smiling.

"thank you".I said. I followed her to the servants quarters.it was very far from the main house,it was also built with wood, she opened the door and we went inside.

It was a small room it had no bed,just heaps of bedsheets on the floor,a table and chair,then a small bag which contained her clothes.

"Welcome to my room".she said as she lit a candle.the room was a bit warm but I was still shivering.

"thank you".I said and then she gave me her clothes.

"Change into this and you will feel better".she said. she looked away as I changed,I couldn't understand why.

"you can turn around".I said she smiled.

"they look good on you but am sorry you have to wear these clothes"she said as she put the wet clothes in a bucket.

"Look flair don't be sorry and I love these clothes, how can lady Marie not provide you people with beds".I said as I sat down.

"that's how she is, you must be hungry eat this".she said as she handed me a pack cookies.

"I am not".I lied I didn't want her to starve because of me.

"I ate already, don't worry".she said.

"thank you but I insist we should share it".I said.

"okay fine".she said smiling. we ate and then we lied down.

"do you get paid".I said

"No we don't get paid, but we are given food once daily ".she said.

"but you work all day don't you have off days".I said.

"No we don't, the only time we don't work was in the hole, it's was too scary but we have gotten used to working all day ".she said.

"look flair I will not accept her torture,I worked all day yet no pay and food".I said angrily.

"lady Marie is very dangerous and powerful it's not right that you go against her like that, attack from behind".flair said.

"that's a really good advice partner you knew I destroyed the hole didn't you".I said.

"Yes and I was happy you are like a ray of hope for us light".she said.

"I will make her pay for everything, she will beg me back to the house".I said.

"good night".she said and we slept.

The next morning everyone gathered in lady Marie's room. they watched as doctor Bruce checked lady Marie.

"lady Marie will be fine hopefully".Bruce said calmly.

"Can't you get the cure immediately". Brandon said. lady's Marie's face was swollen and red it also had boils which was bringing out pus , she couldn't speak or see properly, it was a very irritating sight.

"I don't know what the problem is, but we have sent her blood sample to the lab the results should be out in no time".Bruce said nonchalantly.

"What do you have to say thaniel".Draco said.

"I don't know what the problem is, she is not responding to the antibiotics I gave her so what will you have me do".thaniel said.

"We can't have mother looking like this".Ellis said with disgust.

"My dear sister, maybe she has been cursed".lady Martha said.

"what do you mean stop saying nonsense". lord Matthew said calmly.

"Maybe she cursed her".Ellis said as he glared at her.

"I think we should start preparing for her funeral".Beth said mockingly.

"you are sure to die with her".Brandon said.

"let's all calm down,I just got the report".Bruce said as he checked his phone.

"what's the problem'.brandon said eagerly.

"thaniel take a look at this".Bruce said as he gave thaniel his phone.

"this is so irritating".Draco said as he looked away.

"look I am not sure lady Marie's case can be solved medically".thaniel said.

"We don't know what type of disease it is,it could be a curse".Bruce said mockingly he was happy to see lady Marie so helpless.

"Look thaniel we need to take her to the hospital".lord mattews said worriedly.

"it's too dangerous,look we just have to look for another way".thaniel said.

"Mother has brought this upon herself I am suffering on my own I don't need further stress".Ellis said.

"Ellis how can you be so mean".Brandon said .

"mother is paying for her evil deeds excuse me I don't know if this is contagious".Ellis said angrily. he was about to leave but Draco stopped him

"You won't go,we have to look for a solution". Draco said.

"Fine but please I don't want to be cursed as well".Ellis said as he sat down.

"I know someone that is into herbal drugs maybe he might help,let me call him".lady Martha said and she entered the bathroom.

"Okay".Brandon said

"who could have done this to her". Timothy said.

"She has many enemies".Bruce said smiling.

"it could be anyone".Draco said, then Lady marie began to cough blood. thaniel helped to wipe it.

"I don't think she has time we need to act fast".thaniel said as he checked her pulse.

"he is coming".lady Martha said as she came out of the bathroom.

Thirty minutes later the medicine man arrived, he looked like a mad man with his overgrown beard and hair, he was shirtless with different tattoos on his body and he was smelling.

"He looks like a mad man".Ellis said.

"he stinks too we can't let him touch mother".Draco said.

"Sorry sir pardon their manners".lady Martha said smiling.

"I am not offended,I am glad to help you anytime".he said smiling showing his rotten teeths.

"Martha does he live in the jungle".Brandon asked with disgust.

"ofcourse,I am a man of herbs".he said proudly.

"come take a look at my sister she woke up like this I think she has been cursed".Iady Martha said as she pointed at lady Martha.

"this is so bad everyone move back,if the pus touched your skin you will get infected".he said they all moved back.

"I said this no one listened to me, if another person were to get infected how can we manage".Ellis complained.

"Ellis thanks but shut up".Brandon said.

"Brandon don't you dare shut me up, I know you are very happy with mother's predicament".Ellis said mockingly.

"what do you mean".Brandon said as he walked to Ellis but Draco stood in front of Ellis.

"calm down Brandon you know Ellis likes to speak nonsense forgive him let's concentrate on mother".Draco said.

"Draco leave him, he wants to take advantage of me because am still in pain coward".Ellis said angrily.

"I will kill you with my own hands later I have no time for you".Brandon said as he walked away.

"calm down Ellis".Draco said.

"So herbs man what can we do to help her".lord mattews said.

"she has been poisoned, it's either her face gets burnt or you look for the person that poisoned her".......
