Josie POV
“Conan!” Nora yelled.
She kicked the door to his office open. Conan stood by the window, hands in pockets. His lips parted in shock when he took me in.
“Josie, what the hell happened to you?” He barked.
His face turned red with fury.
“Never mind that,” Nora spat.
“What do you mean?” Conan yelled. “Look at her. I don’t care what happened, I’m just going to kill them.”
He closed the distance between us and freed me from his aunt’s grip. He took me into his arms. He paused and stared at my face.
Oh boy, I thought. He noticed the bruise on my face.
“You were punched?” He asked.
I sucked in my bottom lip.
“I can explain,” I said nervously.
“Conan!” Nora blasted.
“What?” Conan glared at her.
“I’m not a fool, so she is your girlfriend. Are you serious about this?”
