Matt’s P.O.V
I glance at the alarm clock on Ellie’s night stand and see that it’s almost 5:30am. I quietly slip out of Ellie’s arms grabbing my things before walking to the main house. I didn’t sleep much after my nightmare. Every time I closed my eyes I would see my friends faces. This has happened a few times since I’ve been back, but this time it’s all I kept seeing.
I shower quickly before making my way down to the kitchen where I find Ellie making breakfast. She turns around giving me a slight smile before going back to what she was doing. I can sense a little hesitation from her, but quickly brush it off.
