Chapter 23Early in the morning, the same extraction team; Eddie, Youssef, Jimmie, Toby and myself began loading and securing all of the crates onto our long trailer, which is 8.5 feet wide by 36 feet long. Originally, the crates were stored in the plane on 3 pallets 6 feet high. That works out to 96 square feet of cargo for each pallet which translates to 288 square feet for the entire cargo. The trailer is about 306 square feet in area, so we should be able to stack all crates 1 crate layer high. That makes transporting the trailer with cargo much easier because of the low height. Hopefully, we have enough tie-down cargo straps to secure everything, but Charlie will be making a fuel trip to the airport in Tamanrasset later today and if need be, he could always get to the hardware store in
