I was still speaking when the hum of an approaching surfaced, making me stop because I knew who it was instantly. That was the sound of Marcus's car. He must have rushed home once he got the call about my calling the police.
The sound of his car tires crunching gravel followed as he packed and got out of the car. Once he was standing in front of us he demanded to know what had happened. Ethan and Kelvin told him everything but he was already livid before they were done.
"Did you really say that-"
I cut him off before he could finish. "Yes I did and I don't care what you think about that. I am not going to change my words because you're standing here. And I wouldn't give a damn if this affected the company in any way. You can't keep shutting me up like I don't have a mouth-"
