LILITH.
His eyes bore into mine so deeply that it felt like he would pierce me with them. The next second, he got to his feet and he began to head toward me like I was some prey that he wanted to lay his claws on. Why was he looking at me like that? Why was he heading toward me right now? Didn't he just tell me to leave? Maybe I should have just left when he told me to. “Don’t … don't come near me!” I panicked, so I screamed, stretching my hand toward him as if a tornado would come from my hand and toss him off.
“Don’t come any closer!” I added and his eyes narrowed.
“What is your name?" He asked, pausing, which I wasn’t expecting. He was watching me now, so intently as though he was lost in thought but the darkness around his eyes scares me. He was wearing black pants and a black shirt. The sleeve of his black shirt was rolled up halfway and I could see the black ink that ran deep into his skin.
The room was dark hence I could barely see the letter inscribed into his skin.
“You don't want me?” His tone slipped and the thickness of his voice almost made me shiver. The darkness around his voice imitates the shirt he wore.
He was really tall and I had to look up to meet his dark orbs. I didn’t want to back down and make him believe that I was someone that he could intimidate. Even though it was one of the most stupid choices I have ever made. This man was twice my size and he could easily break me in half.
“I don’t think that I can ever want someone who doesn’t even want themselves.”
“What?" He took one step toward me and I took it back.
"If you ever want yourself, you wouldn’t womanize every day just for them to gush over you. I feel like you are a bored soul who just wants some excitement.” I let the words out without filter, glaring at him with my neck pointing toward the ceiling. I had always been a woman who hates it when men exhibit misogyny and it is so painful that some women do not deem themselves as the price that they are.
He chuckled, but it was dry and lacking laughter. It didn't sound like fun; not the type that you could laugh along with. It was filled with darkness that pulled you in and when you want to run, it cuffs you and never lets you go.
“That is what you think that I am doing?” His gaze fixated on me, and I knew that it was time to be quiet, but the part of me that felt offended by this entire thing wouldn't let me.
“I like you. I like the way you speak. What is your name?”
His gaze moved softly over me and he looked serious. His eyes wouldn't leave my face, and I wondered if he couldn't see the ugliness. I literally made myself look this way for a reason. I didn't want him to find me attractive so why was he moving closer with such a cute little smile?
“Anna,” I said, my sister’s name instead, because I didn't want this man to know anything about me.
The next second, I was backed up against the wall, and he was in front of me with his huge body blocking my view. My eyes stilled on his broad chest and shoulders. The ink on his arm was written in cursive that was too tiny for my eyes to pick up.
His smell invaded my nostrils with permission, and the closer he got, the more he compelled me.
“I love your sharp mouth.” He grabbed my chin and pulled my face to his.
The warm yellow light in the room cast a glow on his face framing his already perfect face
“I want you.” His hoarse voice seeped through my ears perfectly. His tone reverberated through me like a perfect melody. His eyes were the kind that pulled you in without warning.
“Me?” Why would you like a woman like me?!” My eyes went wide, and he laughed softly, pulling me closer to him. He brought his face closer, his breath moving over my skin like natural air. I shut my eyes and held my breath, trying hard to break free from him. What was this feeling? Why do I feel like this?
He brushed his lips along the side of my face and a shiver ran up my spine.
“I want you… right now.” I could feel his c**k pressed hard against me, pulling me even closer. He sniffled the side of my neck like I was some favorite food he hadn't seen in a long time.
How come his d**k was so hard when he was inept? Didn’t they say he wasn’t active?
His d**k was so hard, I could feel his length… knew how big it was, and goodness, I had to take the s**t out of my head before it stuck.
“Stop… I’m married!” I let out, my voice came out too quickly and I could feel him freeze. His face moved over to me, his eyes darkened, and for a second, I thought he was going to force himself upon me.
“Married?” He asked.
“Yes.” I shut my eyes and the next second, he stepped back.
“Then why are you here? Do you not know why you are here?” He asked, a big frown creasing his face.
“I … I just needed the… money.” I stammered
He stepped away from me.
“You are just like the other girls, here for the money and never for me." he turned his back on me, walking over to the darker side of the room.
“Leave.” He let out silently and I wondered inwardly if he was ever going to give me the money. However, when I stepped out, I was handed a cheque by a strange big man.
I went back to Jeff house feeling happy that he can finally pay up the debt and we can get married after.
I was almost about to step into his apartment when my ears picked up a familiar voice. I knew who the voice belonged to, it was Anna’s.
“Only if she knew that we wanted to use the money for our wedding plan then maybe she wouldn't have gone.” Anna laughed. Wait, they were talking about me?
My heart thudded in my chest and my stomach churned. My ears tinged, and I stood there listening.
“Why would she think that it was okay to go and meet with some other man and then think you are going to marry her? Moreover she is a fool, which man would send his lover into the hand of another man?” She laughed, her laugh was dark and bitter. Anna? My sister?
I couldn't hold back anymore, I walked into the room, pushing the door back and I met Anna sitting on his lap. She turned her head back, looking over her shoulder at me.
“Really? My sister?” My heart felt heavy and my feet almost couldn't hold my weight anymore.
He got to his feet instantly, walking over to me, and then he said;
“Babe, it is not like that… It is not what you are thinking.” He held his hands out at me, trying to come touch me, but I stepped back.
“Stay back. You and Anna?” I raised my brows and tried to convince myself that this was real. This was not some dream. My sister and my mate. Anna stood behind me, watching me with her hands folded under her breast, and she moved closer to me. “It is not like I’m cheating. You are the one who stole my man. We started dating long before you came into existence.”
My eyes went wide, and all I could do was stare between the two of them.
“This has been going on behind my back…A wedding?” I raised my brows laughing because this couldn't be real. This couldn't be my life right now.
“Lilith, it is not what you are thinking.” He still tried to step closer to me but I didn't let him. Bastard!
“You never even spoke about a wedding with me but here you are doing that with my sister?” I chuckled.
“Because I am the love of his life and you are merely his mate… no one cares about some mate bond when a real connection has been built before now.”
Oh great… I wasn’t loved… No. I thought I was, but it is quite obvious that I was never loved.
“I want the bond off!” I glared at him. His eyes went wide and I knew that he wasn’t expecting me to say this so suddenly. I was going to stay with a man who didn't see a future with me.
I waited… I waited for so long for this man to pick me. To choose me. I did that. I was ready to sell my body for him. Tears pulled down my cheeks, and my body trembled, but I didn't want him to see that. No.
“No, you cannot break it all off like that. What about the money?”
He asked, and that made me pause, and I looked over my shoulder at him, a gasp leaving my lips.
What…Really?
All he cares for is the money
