The publisher will request an author bio from you. This will appear on their site to introduce you to readers, and will be in each book you sell, regardless of whether it’s electronic or print. They will also use the author bio on distributor sites that require one. So it’s important to make sure your bio tells readers what you want them to know about you. One mistake many first-time authors make is to reference their first story in their bio. Then when they publish a second story, they want to update the bio to reflect this.
