Kyle strolled through the hallways and galleries that led to the garden slowly.
With each step he took, it was as if he were drunk. Yet, he wasn't drunk. How on earth would a great Alpha like him get drunk?
Can a werewolf, especially Alpha, get drunk? That's impossible! They are not human. They are night-walking creatures.
Besides, he's not a newly turned wolf. He's the Alpha, the strongest and most brutal of the Nagari pack. He's ruthless.
The pack can't see him in this state. It would make them more troubled and divided. Not only that, some of them will see him as a weak leader.
Never! He would never allow that. He'd rather keep his grief and sorrow in his heart and focus his aggression on them.
He knew the consequences of not finding his mate. A great calamity would fall on the pack and he would lose the throne. He would also become trash in the eyes of the pack.
Never! Alpha Kyle would never allow that. If he didn't find his mate soon, he'd rather commit suicide than become a laughing stock.
“Suicide,” Kyle mumbled under his breath, followed by a wide grin.
Never! He would never do such things. He would rather find his mate at the last second than commit suicide.
Just hearing what the seer said made him weak and vulnerable. He could feel his wolf's sadness. The poor being hadn't talked to him since the Seer revealed the secret.
At first, Kyle thought of squeezing the life out of the Seer for not providing a solution to his nemesis. On the other hand, he knew the seer was correct.
Perhaps he deserves it.
She must be really powerful. Kyle thought as he walked through the silent hallways to the garden. To his garden of solace. The only place that gives him joy.
Over the years, whenever Kyle was troubled, he always went to the garden. The garden was handed down by his mother, who was a powerful Luna during her generation.
The garden had a calming flower scent that always made Kyle happy. The wind there was very satisfying, and he loved the silence of the garden.
With a great step, Kyle entered the garden. He examined the atmosphere, and it was still the same as when he left it. The same way his mother always did it before she died.
He inhaled a great quantity of air and exhaled softly, letting out all his sorrow and grief.
This place is a new world to him. He couldn't take all the grief with him. It's where he had his mother buried. He didn't want her to smell all his worries. It would have saddened her.
He could remember how his mother always cared for him during her reign. She might be harsh and strict at times. That's expected as a great Luna.
Nonetheless, she cares for and loves the entire pack. That's the description of a caring mother. She is loved by all.
Kyle took a slow stride toward the first row of orchid flowers, and he breathed in a great quantity of the flower scent to cool himself.
However, the unexpected happened. Kyle felt more aggregated instead. He felt like going wild. He felt like releasing his wolf, running all over the woods of California, and killing everything in sight.
He felt like going berserk and destroying everything he had ever accumulated all his life. Lastly, he felt like ruining the Seer and his family.
“Anger is a demon,” Kyle mumbled, trying his best not to go wide. He was barely keeping his wolf under control, and he knew any single mistake would make it run wild.
That's what Kyle dreads most. He dreads it when his wolf goes out of control. He's brutal, and he would destroy everything in his sight. He didn't want anything like that again.
Kyle looked perplexed. Something like this hasn't happened to him before.
Whenever he came to the garden with a troubled heart, he would breathe in the scent of the orchid flower first. The orchid had never failed to calm him.
Kyle shrugged the thought away. Perhaps he was in too much trouble today. He concluded in his mind, and made his way toward the morning rose flower. He did the same thing again by breathing in the scent.
Yet, it was the same. Kyle was not satisfied.
He moved on from the morning rose flower and began sniffing all the flowers in the garden one by one. Nonetheless, he gets the same result, which bothers him.
How could that happen? Kyle thought, but he found no answer nor anybody to answer him.
The worry of finding his mate was still there. He could still feel it in his heart, prickling him like a sharp spike. This has never happened before in his entire life of ruling the pack.
Sighing in frustration, Kyle sat on one of the benches inside the garden and clapped his hands twice.
Instantly, one of the maids nearby quickly rushed to him and bowed her head in respect and submission to the Alpha.
They knew better than to delay him. They knew he was the only one that came to the garden. It's a private sector. Except for his twin brother, who comes here once in a while.
"Wine," he ordered, his voice cold and strict, making the maid shiver in fear.
That's why Kyle was respected by the entire pack. No matter the trouble he is facing, he does not lose his authority and power. Not for once, and he won't forfeit it. Never.
