He gets colder in situations like this.

Within the gleam of an eye, the maid returned with the wine. The maid gave it to him with her head bowed in respect.

After he had been served the wine, he relaxed on the long bench and sipped the wine while waving the maid away with one hand.

If it was under normal circumstances, Kyle would have called any shewolf from the pack and made her massage his body.

However, today is different. He wasn't in the mood for that. Not when his kingdom and everything he worked hard for are about to be taken away from him.

He observed the garden. His mind went back to the days when he and his mom planted all these flowers. It was like a year hadn't passed. Yet, it has been more than ten years since

His mate? How would he find her? What powers does she hold that even the seer can't know her whereabouts? Kyle ruminates on what the Seer told him again while sipping his wine.

His mind went back to when he became the Alpha of the pack and how he ruled the pack with an iron fist.

He has led his pack to victory a thousand times against anyone that opposed them. In the battle, some wolves in the pack get killed, but he doesn't care. They died for the sake of their pack.

He remembered the rebels that had risen during his reign as the Alpha and the different ways he dealt with each of them.

Now, he was struck by his present situation and unsure of how to solve it. Something that had never happened to him before.

He had always believed he didn't need a mate. He claimed they'd be a source of distraction to him. That's why no effort was made to find his mate.

What happens now that he needs her more than he can imagine? He resolved to do whatever he could to find her. He was willing to sacrifice anything to find her.

He had another problem. His twin brother, Kaitlyn. Katilyn has proved himself to be a potential threat to his reign.

Katilyn has raised rebels against Kyle in the past, and he barely defeated them all. But he couldn't kill his twin brother. That's one of the weaknesses he had.

He was very sure that Kaitlyn would take this opportunity to overrule him. He would seize the opportunity to hit him.

Kyle won't let it happen. Whatever he needed to do, he would do it, but this kingdom would be with him and no one else! He would rule it to the end of his life.

His wolf caught a dreadful scent. Even from afar, he could smell his revengeful and hot-headed heart. It was none other than his brother, Kaitlyn.

"Hiding in the shadows like you always do?" Kyle asked calmly, trying his best to suppress his anger.

Emerging out of the maze flower is Kaitlyn, with a great smile on her face. "What could make our almighty king so bothered?" He mocked

"If you think I'll sit here and chit-chat with you, you must be out of your mind," Kyle replied to his brother in a very harsh manner.

Kaitlyn walked around the garden with a sense of victory. Seeing his brother in this devastated and worried state made him extremely happy.

He couldn't contain his happiness when he heard what the seer told Kyle. He didn't know who Kyle's predicted mate was, but he was sure of one thing. He would get her for himself.

"I can't believe you're still arrogant despite being in a delicate situation." Says Kaitlyn as he circles his brother. “I would be glad to finally see your downfall," Kaitlyn said, proudly.

Kyle's anger started building up. He took domineering steps toward his brother. His wolf growled out in anger, showing that he was ready to fight.

It took Kyle all his strength to control the wolf and bring it to the bay. He couldn't fight his brother, at least not yet. He had better issues at hand.

"I won't let you take my kingdom away,” Kyle managed to reply. “I've contributed a lot towards the growth of this pack, and I can't allow you to take it away from me." Kyle snarled.

It took him all his self-control not to get into a brawl with his brother. He knew his brother would start another rebellion. He was sure of that. He was waiting for that moment so he could end everything once and for all.

"This kingdom is not yours," Kaitlyn shouted. "You are not good enough to be the leader of the pack."

Kyle gave him a questioning look.

"I'm telling the truth,” Kaitlyn said as he stepped forward. He gave Kyle a bold glare, and he could see the look of grief in his brother's eyes.

He could guess the reason for that. That's because he hadn't found his mate, unlike him. If he had, Kyle would not have looked down in defeat. In short, his mate is the one holding him back, and Kaitlyn loves it.

Kaitlyn took a deep breath and said, "Watch your back, I'm coming for you."

"You know, I've let you go a couple of times,” says Kyle while raising his head. "You've raised countless rebellions against me, and I killed all of them. The only mistake I made was letting you live. Does that mean I'm weak?” Kyle asked.

“I don't ask for your brotherly love. It's survival for the fittest.” Kaitlyn sneered at his brother. “Let's see who succeeds on the throne. Good luck, brother.” He concluded and walked away.

Kyle could not hold his anger anymore. His wolf surfaced, and he started destroying everything in the garden.

Kaitlyn's challenge is going to make this a very rough time for him and his kingdom.
