Chapter 21

LABOR DAY WEEKEND arrived and with it, the beginning of the school year. They settled down into a routine, with Mickey dropping Ted off at school on his way downtown to work. Chris’s seven-to-three shift ended coincident with the school day, so he picked Ted up after school. Chris had managed to rearrange his schedule so that he and Ted could fly to Atlanta every Wednesday morning, and they would get home before Mickey in the afternoon.
Chris and Ted drove to the airport early one Wednesday morning for their first seven forty-five flight. When they arrived in the Atlanta airport, Chris found the subway station easily, and they took MARTA from the airport to the Brookhaven station.
