Park Aveline has been roaming the earth since the past few centuries just to find a way to escape her curse of eternal living. She travelled the whole world in order to find the key which would unlock the mysteries of her never ending life. One day, she was dead but the next day, she found herself staring out of the window. The garden across her house was all covered with maple leaves, paving a beautiful pathway which she adored since the beginning of her confusing life.

As she watched, a man with a big black umbrella stepped on it as he made his way through the leaves to the other side of the road. She couldn't see his face nor could she figure out where he came from and his destination. The view soon became a routine for her and the black umbrella covering his face suddenly became a bother. Her heart asked her to follow the man but her brain asked her to stay back with her cursed life.

A month passed and he stopped the routine, pushing her into another dimension of life - uncontrollable emotions. The powers which she had which was unknown even to her, blossomed on his arrival slowly marking the beginning of another plot. Her heart clenched at the truth, she being the doom to everything and everyone.

She met him once again which was totally unexpected for her and his umbrella confirmed that he was the one who unleashed her curse with more power. She hated him, wanted to kill him and craved to stop the growing powers in her but he had another plans. She watched him play the piano in the church all to himself, and somehow enjoyed it, slowly getting addicted to his music. She wanted to run from him but her will didn't let her take another step to him or from him.

"Who are you? Why am I influenced by you?" She asked every day while silently observing him.

The day he finally saw her, he didn't go to her or talk to her or even smile at her but his eyes had a story, an interesting story. He unleashed the curses in her only to get hurt, only to lose his peace of mind and the strand of hope which he was holding onto. The confused duo who wanted to run from other each slowly found their foot steps leading to each other.

"Stay away from me." She begged.

"I tried, I really tried but I can't." He gritted his teeth and clenched his fist as his urge to pull her into an embrace grew wild.

They together crushed and healed the world without even knowing about it but one day, she realized another truth which she has been searching for. The key to her eternal life was in his hands and unknowingly he was controlling her since centuries.

"Not so easily." He growled into the tensed air making her choke in his words.

"What do you mean?" She asked as her grey doe eyes fixed on him.

"Did you ever ask for my name? I was waiting for you to ask me that till now." He answered with the smirk.

"What is your name?" She asked finally, ready to take in the darkest truth in her life.

PROLOGUE
"He was mysterious, he didn't show his face to me but I really was drawn to him." Casper explained. "I didn't know that you were gay." Aveline joked but his intense stare made her immediately stop. "This is not funny. I have never been attracted to anyone like this in my life because as you know, the entire focus would always me on me." "I don't think anyone could do that to me." She was confident because in the past six hundred years, she has met almost everyone in the world, from all races and cultures and all ages. . . . Three months was all it took for me to change my words even though I didn't want to and from then my life was a roller coaster ride. I was taught to stay away from people to not harm them but no one ever told me, it could happen to me. A human could hurt me in all possible ways and yet I ran into him as if I was a masochist and I didn't really care. With him in my proximity, I felt a lot more than the six hundred years could ever offer to me. I was happy and satisfied but at the same time, I was hurt and crying. "How can you make me feel this way?" I asked as he slowly pulled me into a hug. "Do you not like it?" He cooed in his honey dripping voice and once again, I lost it. I wanted him to be with me forever and always. Am I selfish to feel this way? But isn't this the first time that I am desiring to have someone by my side? If he is the reason for my happiness, can't I just have him by myself? Aveline was impressed and she soon forgot about the warnings that the nature gave her as her whole focus was on him and the attention which he was pouring on her.
