"He was mysterious, he didn't show his face to me but I really was drawn to him." Casper explained.
"I didn't know that you were gay." Aveline joked but his intense stare made her immediately stop.
"This is not funny. I have never been attracted to anyone like this in my life because as you know, the entire focus would always be on me."
"I don't think anyone could do that to me." She was confident because in the past six hundred years, she has met almost everyone in the world, from all races and culture and all ages.
"Believe me or not, if you meet him for once, I hope your single life would finally get a promotion." Casper huffed as he rolled out of the bed only to lose balance and fall on his back along with the blanket.
"That's what you get for mocking me." Aveline laughed hard watching the boy, struggle under the blanket with a pout face.
The only person whom he trusted was her because she didn't know him well before shifting to Canada. He was never in her plans, making a friend was a huge deal for her and she used to take months to battle her own self to stay away from people but Casper was already on her back like a koala never willing to leave.
Aveline enjoyed his company mainly because he had no much questions for her knowing she could throw it back at him. He preferred to keep his private life all to himself that at some points she wondered if he really had one like that. He was too caught in the attention that the world was showering on him. If he sneezes one decibel louder than usual, it becomes trending.
"Are you still up for the plan? We have no time." He asked pulling her hands to bring her back to senses.
"Sneaking out at this age from your manager is not meant for a good boy." She said pulling his cheeks as if he was a little baby.
"He is for real like a vampire to me...... living to suck my blood."
Aveline laughed it off as usual before getting up to freshen up because she knows the boy wouldn't give up without getting her to go with him. Maybe he needed a break too from his busy, tight packed schedule which she always envied. People always tend to crave for something that they don't have and she was no different. Being free and jobless most of the time, she always to do some kind of work but never once had the courage to reach there.
She picked up one of her lazy baggy outfit and suited her in it really quick before taking her beanie from the hanger and rushing out to him. He looked at her and smiled as he was satisfied with her look. She was simple and elegant, totally opposite to the girls who had heavy makeup, revealing scandalous outfit and the ten inch heels. He wanted to be around some one like that, who has no concern about his identity and fame.
"Where are we going?" She asked following him out.
"To Hawaii." He said before running to her car because he uses her car for his personal reasons to avoid media.
"Really funny." She fake laughed before getting into the car and securing the seat belt around her.
"I can go anywhere if it is with you because I know you won't sell my location to the media."
"It is not your fault that she did misused her freedom but it was on you that you gave her a second chance. If you hadn't done that you wouldn't have lost your contract with that clothing brand."
Aveline never interfered in his work and he never brought up that topic to her but once he was caught in a really bad rumor which almost destroyed his career. She had to step in to help him out and somehow it worked but she still keeps her identity hidden from the medias because she clearly hated attention.
"Can we get a coffee before going to my beach island?" He asked looking at her knowing what exactly her reaction would be.
"You said, you wanted to go somewhere else.... like a normal place for human." She rolled her eyes at him because that is exactly what he always do to her.
"I wish, I crave for it but it isn't easy. Even if I have to go to those places, I have to rent it out for me." He gritted his teeth before turning on the music.
Aveline decided to let the boy calm down because she knows how things would be for him in the public. She anyways enjoyed days and nights with him even though they were like once in a blue moon. She was determined to not let him know the truth about her because mostly he would be scared and leave her out. The song that was playing on the dvd suddenly penetrated her distorted brain as she looked at him to see a slight smile.
"It is mine." He answered before letting her ask anything.
"You didn't release it yet?"
"This is a snippet for you, if you approve this song...... I can maybe think about releasing it."
Aveline was almost at the verge of screaming in happiness but suddenly the car jerked catching her attention back to the road. There was nothing ahead of him yet Casper was shaking as if he was going to hit something, the steering wheel was unstable and his hands gripped tight on it.
"Casper?" I called him to bring him back to senses.
"Him." Casper mouthed as he tried his best to turn the car to not hit the emptiness in front of him.
"Him? Who? Casper, are you alright?" Aveline asked as she shook the boy harshly thinking he would be seeing something in his mind.
"No, he is coming for us." Casper screamed as he stomped hard on the break by the side of the road.
He rested his forehead on the steering wheel as his uneven breath hit her hard. She was startled at the sudden incident and didn't know what got into him all of a sudden so she just needed a few seconds all for herself to calm down. She looked out of the car to the far distance in the front as well as looked at the back to make sure there was no one.
"Casper, get up."
"I saw him." The boy shivered as he looked at her with his lips trembling.
"Whom are you talking about? Did you just zone out or something?"
"No no, you wouldn't believe me even if I say. But I really saw him standing in the middle of the road, right there." He said pointing to the back of the road with terrified eyes.
"There is no one here Casper, look properly." Aveline tried to comfort the boy not knowing about whom he was addressing to.
It took a while for him to calm down and move to the passenger seat allowing her to drive. The mood was totally a disaster so Aveline cancelled the plan and drove to somewhere else, a place only she knows. He trusted her so didn't bother to ask anything instead just stared out of the window, blankly. He was still stuck in that incident and somehow couldn't believe it was all his thoughts and no one was there in the road to block them.
"We are here." Aveline said stopping the car in front of a forest way, which looked far away from human existence.
"Where is this?" He asked removing the seat belt and adjusting his hair.
He had a dark raven hair which screamed his route of birth, he looked like an Asian who was born and brought up in Canada. He had big doe eyes and a sharp face with dominant features. His silk, soft hair always fell on his face covering the beautiful eyes he had. He was well build, enough muscular but not too thick making him likeable by everyone. He had a honey voice which was clearer than the crystal clean glass and the way he enjoyed himself was like an addiction to the girls out there.
"This is my secret hide out and I promise you that no one would come here to disturb you." She smiled before pulling him in to the forest pathway.
"Is there any animals here?" He asked following her like a lost puppy.
