The Alpha's Rejected Luna

CHAPTER TWO - BECOMING A ROGUE

"That won't be necessary anymore because I am rejecting her as my Luna right now." Alpha Kyler suddenly said and their mouths hung open in shock, what? Does he want to reject her? They inquired amongst themselves but they did not dare whisper it aloud to his hearing.

Sapphire's eyes widened, and her mouth refused to close - okay, she was sure she didn't hear it right this time around. "You heard me right, I'm going to reject you here and now." Alpha Kyler stood up and Sapphire refused to blink so the dream she was having would end quickly.

Reject? She has heard stories of some Aloha rejecting their Luna maybe because their marriage couldn't work or end well, certain circumstances surrounding the separation but it happening to her was a four hundred degrees dream she would never dream to have. "What??!" She finally blurted out.

Alpha Kyler walked towards her and for the first time, she didn't retreat backward as she has always done. He looked straight into her eyes, her silver eyes which had brown dots in them. "Today, I reject Sapphire LuLaRoe as my Luna." He said in his Alpha tone and the others bowed while Sapphire tried not to fall on her knees.

She fought against it but the urge was so strong that it overpowered her and threw her to her knees, the sudden action made her hurt her knees. Salsa struggled to come out while Sapphire bit in a growl, she wouldn't want her wolf to dominate her at this crucial time.

Sapphire glanced at Alpha Kyler's retreating, he didn't even ask for her opinion. He just cut it off with her just like that? Almost immediately, she felt a snap in her spirit and she knew he had broken it with her finally. Her hands consciously wrapped around her stomach, "I thought you were my hope...." She tried not to cry, clutching her stomach slowly.

She thought she would use the pregnancy to get to him but he hasn't even known about the pregnancy and he has rejected her already? He didn't want to allow things to get better between them, was rejecting her? Arielle gave a small laugh and Sapphire glared at her, struggling to stand up.

The Alphas looked at her with sorry faces, they never expected their Alpha to reject her since that wasn't what they all agreed on from the start but now that he has rejected her, they could only accept it. Sapphire dusted her gown and simply walked out of the meeting room, she had no business there any longer.

So much as it hurts, she couldn't allow them to hurt the little pride she had left. She banged the door closed and rested her back on it, crying slowly and touching her stomach. "I reject Sapphire LuLaRoe as my Luna." It was the first time he addressed her by y her full name. If he had done that on a normal day, she'd have blushed.

As slow as ever, she brought out her bags and began to fill them with her clothes. Kyler never attended to her as his wife, as his Luna - the clothes in her wardrobe were the ones she brought from her dead parent's house, she didn't have any other ones and now, the only thing on her mind was to disappear from the werewolf world.

How will she begin to drag her bags out of the palace? Without the maids, passersby, and everyone in the pack staring at her pathetic self dragging her luggage out of the pack - she would rather die than face that kind of humiliation. "Going out of the pack in the night would be the best option." She concluded.

"What I do or how I run my pack is none of your business! I only involved you in this decision today because of my father, you may all leave now." That was how Alpha Kyler had always been, he is the replica of his father - cold-hearted, stubborn, and aggressive, he never listens to anyone and he successfully ran the pack without anyone's help.

They believed Alpha Kyler would be the same, he has been running the pack since he was seventeen years old under his father's influence and he successfully took hold of the pack when he was twenty now, he was twenty-eight which made him rule for eight years without anyone interfering.

Arielle giggled, getting on top of his thighs as she kissed his cheeks and he pulled her away. "I didn't reject her because of you Arielle and I can't make you my Luna too." He refused the deal she wanted to have with him the night before, in his bedroom.

He wanted to go to Sapphire's room and touch her the way he used to but Arielle suddenly appeared, trying to get him to lay with her which he bluntly refused. "I can make you work hard....." Arielle had whispered to him, touching his groins and he groaned in refusal.

No one would believe him but no lady has ever made him hard like Sapphire does, the first day he touched her was the day he knew and that was why he went to her room every time just to look at her sleeping in her transparent nightie, to make him hard.

Arielle had promised to be his f**k mate, his mistress if he could only pronounce her as his mistress and his Luna. "Why did you reject her then? Why can't you make me your Luna just the way you made her five years ago?" Arielle asked and he sighed, walking out of the meeting room without giving a reply.

Sapphire made sure it was past midnight, she glanced at her neatly arranged wardrobe which was filled with her clothes - she had decided not to take them along because she wasn't even sure of where she would go, the bags would be a hindrance on her way.

She opened a secret place in the wardrobe, opened a safe, and brought out two daggers - they were a gift from her mother. Her mother was one of the soldiers and that was where she met her husband who is Sapphire's father. "A woman should be a man in some situations." Her mother would always tell her.

Sapphire dipped both daggers into the waistline of her dress which was pair of trousers and a shirt. She was well prepared for her long journey because she was sure she would meet dangers on her way to nowhere. Changing into her black wolf which no one has ever seen before, she dashed out of the room and out of the palace.

First, she started to tiptoe - the guards on turns mustn't find a strange wolf lurking around at the midnight. She knew how many guards were always positioned at the front of Alpha Kyler's room, how many were always positioned at the first entrance of the palace, how many were at the main entrance and how many were at the border of the pack.

Sapphire tried to go see Kyler for the last time, she wanted to see him one last time. Her hopes of getting him back had already crumbled or were he never heard from the start? She moaned in pain remembering him choosing her best friend, Arielle over her.

She turned back again, there was no use crying over spilled milk. He had rejected her already and it was his choice if he wanted to choose Arielle as his next Luna which she was sure would be his decision. She looked down at her stomach again, the little one in her was her only hope of surviving.

It was Salsa in motion now while Sapphire was in her head, directing her the way she should go. She can't go through the gates, they would stop her. She wouldn't want to cause a fight, it would worsen the case and the only other option was to jump out but how will she do that when the palace fences are so high?

Sapphire changed back to human and walked straight to the palace gates, it would be better if it would be just the guards mocking and humiliating her right? She walked to the main entrance and the gates were opened almost immediately like the order was already given - grant the former Luna access to leave the palace walls.

Thankfully for her, they didn't gossip and she felt relieved about that. It was better if they talked about her rejection behind her back and not to her face. Without wasting any more minutes, she dashed to the forest in her wolf's form after being sure that nobody saw her wolf's color which has always been hidden.

She continued running to nowhere, she just went ahead and soon enough, she had crossed the border of the Red pack. Salsa whined, growling into the full white moon on top of her head like she was informing the goddess of how she was being treated but something changed - she had become a rogue.
