Chapter 13 Tavia remained sitting on the hard metallic floor, her eyes avoiding the immense and intimidating space in front of them. She had been prepared for things to be different from the narrow, familiar streets and windowless rooms, but this space! It was overwhelming and frightening, and regardless of what her brain told her, her senses had rebelled. To move - let alone stand and walk - seemed impossible.
