Chapter Eleven

Willow's POV

After Scarlett left my room, I couldn't help but feel a little jealous of her. Now, don't get me wrong, I was really happy for her, she found her Dad and a gorgeous mate who only has eyes for her. When I dated Leo, he used to look at me like that until he started to get a following. I never told Scarlett he was the reason I moved out and dropped out of school. He made all these promises that he never kept and there was that one night I came home late from a shoot and caught him in bed with the same model he had just worked with two days before. That was a horrible night. We were supposed to celebrate my first full check and he told me "Babe, we have to celebrate. I'm so proud of you, you just finished up and I'll cook your favorite." And like an i***t, I believed him.

I wanted what my best friend had, and I kept hoping that the goddess would bless me with a mate, even though I knew I didn't have a wolf. Knowing the truth as to why my parents didn't want me around and, honestly, it didn't hurt as bad knowing that Everly felt like I was one of her own. Hell, she pretty much raised me when the supernatural community basically went to s**t. She had been there for everything and I was so grateful to have both her and Scarlett. I couldn't wait to move into the Palace and start new. I wanted to get my GED that way. If I decided to attend college I could say that I graduated. I lay in bed thinking about the offer that Scarlett gave me about designing her and Dimitri's clothes and being her personal stylist. Tonight Arianna seemed very impressed with my ideas. I had already sketched out a few dresses and pant suits for when necessary. I opened my phone and started to look into my GED options and I found one that I could do online. I signed up and paid the fee and filled out all the information that was needed. I would have to call my old school in the morning to have all the stuff emailed to this school. With that, I snuggled down into the most comfortable mattress I had ever laid on and drifted off to sleep.

Scarlett's POV

I woke up to the smell of fresh coffee. I stretched and got out of bed, I slipped my sweats on from last night along with my slippers and grabbed my half robe and walked out to the living room. I still couldn't believe that my room had its own private living room and kitchenette, I watched as Dimitri made my coffee and smiled." Good Morning my love. Did the omega's send food up again?"

" Good Morning Beautiful. No, I went down and got it. I didn't feel they needed to bring it up here when they still had so much to prepare for today. How did you sleep, love?" asked Dimitri. " I slept great, I'm starting to feel like myself again, I'm even kinda looking forward to that party tonight. How did you sleep?" I started to dig into the mound of food he brought up and made myself comfortable at the small table." I slept great always do when I'm next to you. So I forgot to mention that my best friend Asher is driving in today. He was visiting his uncle's pack. They had some rouge trouble. I invited him to stop and stay since he was in the area. Your Mom set up a room for him yesterday."

"Did they get the rouge trouble handled? I can't wait to meet him." I said in between bites. " Yep, all was just a big misunderstanding. He's excited about meeting you, he's hoping that he might meet his mate as well. Hoping he gets lucky like I did. His parents have been pushing him to take a chosen mate they what an heir to carry on their family name as he's the only boy out of five children."

"Wow, that's got to be rough. I hope he meets his mate as well. I couldn't imagine how hard it would be to wait that long to find your soulmate. I wonder if there would be a way to help other members get together and mingle, like having a singles party at the palace to let mates find each other. I know that you're not the only royal family around, so why not reach out and see if they would host as well as any other high-up families. That would be a great way to help out the other packs. We could also use that as a means to meet Alpha's if need be." I said. " Actually, that sounds like a really good idea. Let's talk with my mom about it before the party and if she likes the idea, talk to the pack about it and see how they would feel. I know your Dad mentioned he had a lot of unmatched members and he fears they may cause trouble or want to leave."

We finished our food together. I asked him to go get his parents so we could talk. While he did that, I showered and dressed for the day. I chose jeans and a fitted gray t-shirt that said the driver picks the music the passenger shuts his cake hole. It was a gift from Willow. She knew I loved that show. I went back to the living room and made more coffee, I topped my cup off and watched supernatural while I waited. Fifteen minutes into my show, the door opened and Arianna stepped inside, followed by Declan and Dimitri.

"Scarlett, sorry that took so long. The twins are a little full of it this morning. Dimitri informed us that you had an idea you would like to run by us. We can't wait to hear it." Said Declan.

" Alright, so when Dimitri and I first met, I was informed that most Lycans don't find their mates usually, very early in life due to reasons we don't understand, but also because Lycans don't usually hang out with wolves. But looking at Dimitri and I, I come from a Wolf family. So I thought what if all the royal families say once every month or two months, throw a party for all single pack members to attend along with their pack leaders and to see if that would help pack members or even Lycan's find their mates. Granted, I know it won't reach everyone in other communities until we have a handle on the issues." I said. They both looked at me and smiled. " That sounds like a wonderful idea and I think its something that we should defiantly plan in the future once we have this mess all cleaned up. I think your right about gathering other communities, even humans, because some mates are human and not of the supernatural nature. This will be put into motion and I would like you to over see the details when we are ready to start planning." Said Delcan. I was over the moon when they agreed with my idea. I was so happy to hopefully help others find their soulmates like I had mine. We sat and talked for a while. Declan told more stories and Arianna would correct him if he told it wrong or she would just smile at him. She had changed so much now that Declan was back. She seemed lighter and not so uptight, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I was glad to see her happy and to actually smile like she means it. We were all laughing when a knock on the door came. I went to get up, but Dimitri beat me to it. It was my Mom and she was dressed like she was going out for the day and she was followed by Willow who looked like she hadn't gotten much sleep.

" Hey Mom, you look nice today." I said. " Thank you, are you busy? I was hoping to steal you away and take you shopping for a dress for tonight." Delcan and Arianna stood up and said " Nope we are done hear go spoil this birthday girl who missed her birthday to save me. I will see you all tonight. I need to go rest before the party."

" Hun, just meet us in the garage when your ready to leave," Said Mom. I nodded and asked Dimitri " What are you going to do today?". " I'm going to train and then Asher and I are going to find clothes for tonight and I need to get you a gift for your birthday as well. Then find out what your parents need help with before the party. Speaking of training, now that your feeling better and fully recovered, it's time for you to start learning how to fight in your wolf form." Said Dimitri.

" I wish staying home and watching you was an option. I truly hate shopping, plus I can snap my fingers and exactly what I want will pop right in."

" I would love to have to stay and watch me train. How about you and Willow come watch tomorrow since I can, spar with Asher. I think you, Willow and your mom need this girls day out. It's not like you will be gone all day. The party starts at six and I'm sure you're going to need time to get ready. So go have fun and when you find a dress let me know what color or colors." Said Dimitri, pulling me into a hug. He kissed me deeply, making me go weak in the knees. I pulled away and smiled, " I love you. And I will."

" I love you too" he called after me.

I met mom and Willow in the garage and that's when I noticed they were standing next to my car! " Mom, when did you ever have time to get my car here?" I cried. " After everyone went to bed last night, your dad and I brought it through a portal. The palace isn't far from here, so we figured you would want your car here."

" Thank You Mom! Where is Dad?" I asked. " Not sure what he's up to, he's been super busy the last few days." Said Mom.

She tossed me my keys and I started the car. Mom gave me directions, and we settled into our hour and half drive to town. Mom chose the back seat and settled in with her book . " Hey, Will you look exhausted? Is everything alright?" I asked.

" Yeah, I'm good. I just slept like crap, kept having this same dream over and over again. I'm not afraid of wolves or anything, but I kept dreaming I was being chased by this dark brown wolf. Every time he caught me I would wake up." I've been having this same dream for the last two days and it always ends the same way, he catches me and I wake up."

"That is definitely a weird dream. Mom, what do you think it means?" I asked. Mom placed her bookmark and smiled. " When I was growing up your great grandmother used to tell me when she was a young witch and wolfless that just before she met your great grandfather she had a dream of his wolf. In the dream she was wearing a white dress and was running barefoot through the forest as his beast chased her and everytime he would catch her she would wake up in a cold sweat. So if your dream sounds like that, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that you, my dear girl, have a mate and he is very close by."

" Wow you really think so, but what if he turns out to not want me?" Asked Willow. " My dear girl, your mate would be stupid to not want you. You just remember that you are amazing and that he is the lucky one." Said Mom

No one said anything after that. I glanced at Willow and she was smiling. I was praying to the Moon Goddess that he was a good mate that would treat her right. The time flew by and before I knew it, I was pulling into the mall parking lot. We hit a few shops that had dresses and nothing spoke to me at all. We lost Willow at the shoe department and then I lost Mom at the home goods department, so I decided to check out Hot Topic it was my favorite store back home, but they closed their doors. I looked around and found a few earrings. I even lucked out and found some supernatural t-shirts. I was about to leave when a dress caught my eye. I asked the gal behind the desk if she could check to see if they had my size, and thankfully they did have it in my size, I loved the black embroidery designs along with the dark purple. I slipped into the dressing room and took my clothes off and stepped into the dress. It was even more beautiful on I took my phone out and took a picture of the color and sent it to Dimitri.

Me: I found my dress here are the colors :) love you hope your having fun with Asher.

Me: Hey, I found my dress, I just need to get shoes to go with it.

Willow: Oh yay! I found my dress. We just need to find mom's. We are still at the first store. Just meet us there!

Me: Sounds good. I'm on my way.

I paid for my stuff and headed back to the store I lost them in. I walked in and found them both looking at dresses. Mom held up a very pretty dusty rose-colored dress and it was beautiful. " Mom, you should try that dress on. Its beautiful." I said.

" You know what I think I will. I will be right back girls. Oh wait, show me your dress please?' asked Mom. I pulled my dress out of the bag and they both said in unison " Wow."

" So I guess you both approve." They both nodded in agreement, I smiled and slipped the dress back into my bag and Mom walked to the dressing room. Willow and I started looking at the shoes and there was nothing I really wanted or that I even thought would go with the dress. " What about these?" Willow asked, holding up a pair of black Mary Jane heels. " Honestly, I feel like I need a pair of stripper heels to go with this dress."

' Stripper heels, really that's what you call them." laughed Willow. " It's a total compliment. They have the best shoes, even my shoes I wore at the Gala would be better but for some reason, I really want to be gorgeous tonight." I admitted.

" Your right, they really do have the best shoes. I saw an Adam & Eve just before we stopped here. Do you want to go see what they have?" asked Will. I thought about it and decided why not it doesn't hurt to look and see what they have. " I think dark purple heels would be perfect, and I don't think anyone is going to carry them around here. If Mom is cool with it, we can stop." I said.

Willow: If they don't have what you want, just zap what you want in. That's what I am going to do.

Speaking of Mom, we walked over to the fitting rooms and I called out, "Mom". " I'm still in here, can you come in and help me zip it up?" asked Mom. I slipped passed the curtain and zipped up the back for her. " I would have been done sooner, but I needed a bigger size. I hadn't realized I had lost so much weight not being with your Dad." Said Mom.

" Mom, you need to get this dress, you look so beautiful. And I'm glad that you and Dad found each other again." I said, pulling her into a hug.

We paid for everything and checked the time, and we realized we still had an hour drive home, so we decided to skip the stripper heel shopping. We had just enough time to stop grab snacks and coffee and make our way home. Thankfully, Mom offered to drive home. So I pulled out my phone and noticed I had a text from Dimitri. It was a picture of him and another very nice looking guy.

Dimitri: Hey baby, how did the shopping go? Asher finally made it!

Me: It went great. We found everything and are headed home. Did you have a good day with Asher?

Dimitri: I can't wait to see you all dressed up. Yeah, it's been a long time since we got to hang out. I think we trained for almost two hours. We just got done getting our clothes for tonight. I need to shower when we get back.

Me: Would you like to take one with me? I personally don't care if we are late for the party.

" So Dimitri's best friend made it to the pack house for the party tonight." I said. Willow spoke first, " I have to ask, is his friend just fine as your mate? I mean, I swear all wolves are mostly gourgous, but Lycans take the cake. Even your looks have changed just in the short time you have been with Dimitri."

" Here, why don't you look and see for yourself? Your right about Lycan's being extremely fine." I said, handing my phone back to Willow. She grabs my phone and turns it over and all the color drains from her face. " Willow, what's wrong?" I asked, very worried.

She was shaking so badly when she handed me my phone back. " That's my mate." She said with a sob, I crawled into the back seat with her and pulled her to me and she cried. I hadn't realized she was so worried about him not wanting her.

Me: I need you to tell me right now, what are Asher's feelings towards witches? Don't ask why and just answer me please!

Dimitri: He has no issues with Witches at all. You need to tell me what the hell is going on!

Me: I shouldn't say anything, but I don't know what to do. I showed Willow the picture you sent me and she lost it. Asher is her mate. She has been having the dream. My mom confirmed it.

Dimitri: I think he will be thrilled. Why did she lose it?

Me: She is afraid he won't want her.

Dimitri: I won't say anything to him just try to get her to calm down.

Me: Ok, I will try

I rubbed her hair and told her " Will I need you to calm down and look at me please." she looked up at me and her face was stained with mascara. I grabbed a tissue from the box on the floorboard and cleaned her up. " Everything is going to be alright. I know that everything that has happened with your parents has caused you to be unsure of some many things and I need you to know Asher will be thrilled to meet you and to be part of your life. I just need you to be open to it OK." she took the tissues from me and said barely above a whisper " Okay."

I still had my arm around her and she laid her head in my lap and was quiet the whole way home. I played with her hair right up until we pulled up in the garage. Dimitri was there waiting for us. " I had your dad ask him to help with the training today. That way he will be out of the pack house without making it obvious," Said Dimitri, as we exited the car. My arm was still around her when she quietly said " Thank You. Would it be alright if I went and cleaned up? I really need a minute to myself."

" Of course, sweetheart I will have Scarlett bring you some tea here in a little bit. If you need me, call me, okay." Said Mom

She just walked away without a response. I watched her leave with her shoulders slumped like she was carrying the weight of the world on them. " Mom is she going to be okay, I haven't ever seen her like this.... not even after her parents pulled there crap?" I asked.

" Honestly, hun, I don't know. All we can do is be there for her and offer our help. And respect her needs and hope for the best. The best thing in the world for her right now would be the comfort of her mate. Even though she has no wolf, she will still feel the pull just in a different way that most wolves feel it. For us that have magic and practice it, if we focus on the bond, we can find an actual tether that binds us. Come, let's go make her tea and you need to think about getting showers done, and getting ready. Your Father will be hurt if you're late." Said Mom, walking into the house, Dimitri pulled me into a hug and said " It will be alright, Asher really wants to find his mate. There is nothing more you can do right now. This is something she needs to work through on her own, just like you did with me when we first met." I sighed and agreed with him and we walked hand in hand to the kitchen.

Willow's POV

I walked away from my friends feeling so many emotions. Once I made it to my room, the tears refused to stop falling. I laid on my best and told myself that this was a good thing. That I was finally going to have what everyone else had, yet at the end of the day I would still be missing out on the blood-loving family. I quickly sat up and grabbed my phone and sent a text to my mom.

Me: Hey mom, how are you and dad doing? I have some news I wanted to share with you.

Mom: We are both fine, busy with pack business you wouldn't understand. New's?

Me: Well, I have my mate today. His name is Asher and he is a Lycan. Once we have fully completed the bond I will complete the change and I will officially have a Lycan myself.

Apart of me already knew what her reaction would be. Her and my dad would be elated to know their daughter would soon be normal and they would probably welcome me back with opens arms but not before I was able to shift myself.

Mom: Oh my dear sweet girl your father and I are just so grateful that you will be a normal girl just like us. Please we want you to come home once you are mated. We can't have our daughter and her mate out living on the streets, also no speaking about living with a grand high witch to anyone. Everyone one in our pack thinks you have been at boarding school.

Me: Why boarding school and who cares about Everly being a witch she also has a wolf as well and so does her daughter my best friend.

Mom: Because that's what we told them, said that you had a bad attitude and it needed fixing. As for Everly and her being a witch you know the whole pack hates witches why do you think Damion was hunting them down.

Me: I see well okay, I just wanted to pass along the good news. Anyway I have to go.

I couldn't believe what I had just heard from my mother. My old pack new about the hunting of witches and my parents seemed fine with it. I needed to tell Noah and Everly what I had just learned. I quickly ran to the bathroom and washed my face, now wasn't the time for tears. I opened the door to find both Everly and Scarlett standing at my door holding a tray with tea cups and a tea pot. I didn't waste anytime telling them what I had found out. " My old pack new about Damion hunting witches, my mom just told me in a text. I texted her about my mate cause I wanted to know if that would actually change how they felt about me and well I was right. My mom will know I told you if you ask them about it but they need to be watched."

I watched the person who loved me like a mom should her face fell. I knew that her and my mother had been friends a long time ago until she moved to another pack long before I was born.

" Please send me the texts and I will take it to Noah. I'm so sorry Willow but I feel that your parents are truly lost and if they were apart of any of the hunting their will be consequences." Said Everly.

" I understand and they aren't my family, you are and I will do what needs to be done to help protect my family." I said sending a screenshot to her and she quickly left she called over her shoulder " You girls need to hurry and get ready, you only have an hour or so to get ready.

I hadn't realized that much time had already passed. " Can I come to your room when I'm done with my shower and we can get ready together?" I asked Scarlett. " Yeah that sounds great, I'm gonna go work on doing my hair I showered just before we came to see you." Replied Scarlett. She turned and walked to her room and I gathered all my stuff and proceeded with my shower.
