Chapter 13

----Alex----

Astrid curled up in my arms as I carried her to the bathroom. tonight had been amazing and completely unexpected. When Astrid told me she wanted to have s*x I was very unsure but I could tell from the way she looked at me, she was sure. I loved the sounds she made and the look on her face and in her eyes as I made love to her. Astrid and I were mated and I couldn't be happier, I instantly felt our bond was even stronger.

I gently sat her down on the counter while I went and got the shower going for us. I could feel her looking at me and it made me smile.

"See something you like sweetheart?" I asked with a chuckle before finally looking back at her over my shoulder.

"I see a lot of stuff I like" Astrid answered with a grin.

I moved over to her and picked her up, putting her legs around my waist and carrying her into the shower. "I'm going to show you what that lip biting does to me.." Astrid and I took our time washing each other and exploring each other's bodies. luckily the water was starting to get cool so we couldn't go for a round three in the shower. we got out and I helped dry her off and helped towel dry her long hair before Astrid did the same for me. We were both now snuggled under the blankets, naked and happy. I buried my nose into her hair as I held her back to my chest.

"tonight was amazing.." Astrid cooed softly while laying comfortably in my arms.

"Yes it was, and now I get to hold you like this until we fall asleep" I lightly kissed her neck, making her shiver in my arms.

"mmm.. we just got clean" she giggled and I smiled against her skin.

"sorry, I'll be a good boy" I lightly growled, earning me a soft moan from her before I lifted my head away. "we should get some sleep, sweetheart" I commented and she nodded softly.

After a little bit of laying there with my eyes closed, I felt Astrid's breathing get slower as she fell asleep. I snuggled into her closer and also allowed myself to sleep, tonight had been amazing and I hoped to have many more like it together with her.

I woke up before Alex did but I didn't move, I just enjoyed the scent of my mate all around me. Last night had been the most amazing night of my life, I hadn't been sure if I had wanted to fully go through with it when I was in the bathroom after my shower but once we got started, I didn't want to stop; I knew it was the right time. It was the perfect time, Alex had been so gentle until I told him I wanted more. He was so caring and loving, and then again in the shower... I wanted more but I knew my body needed rest.

eventually I shifted a little and Alex tightened his hold on me, "where do you think you're going?" he asked sleepily in my ear, his sleepy voice was even deeper than his normal voice and I loved it.

"I need to go to the bathroom, baby.." I answered and he huffed at me before letting me go. "You're so dramatic" I giggled and he mumbled stuff at me as I got out of bed. I looked back at him and admired the view of him laying there naked with the blankets over his hip. I smiled then headed into the bathroom to do my business, brush my teeth and my hair. my body was still a little sore from last night but sore in the most amazing way.

Once I was done I walked out and Alex was still laying there with his eyes closed. I grinned and climbed back into bed, facing him. I snuggled into him, pressing my naked body to his, my leg brushed against his c**k which instantly gained me a grunt from him.

"Love.. that isn't nice.." he put his arm around me and pulled me close, "you shouldn't tease me like this.." the next thing I knew he had rolled us so he was on top of me, all of him awake and ready to go.

"really now? that's all you were trying to do, you weren't trying to get me all worked up" he questioned as he grinned himself against my core, making me moan.

"maybe.." I admitted just before he buried himself inside me again, if this was our life now; always rolling around in bed, I was absolutely fine with it.

After our morning fun, Alex and I got dressed and went down to get breakfast. Morgan and William were sitting in the kitchen talking. Morgan smiled when she saw us.

"good morning you two!" She said cheerfully. "wow Astrid you're looking amazing, it's been a couple days since we've really seen each other, would it be okay if I steal her so we can have some girl time?" She asked Alex. I could see he was pouting a little that his sister wanted to steal me away but he nodded.

"Yes, along as Astrid is up to hanging out" Alex looked over at me and I smiled

"Yeah, That's fine with me. you have work to do anyway" I answered and he pushed his bottom lip at me a little, I was sure he had hoped I'd say no so he could keep me to himself.

"Okay, Well don't forget out swimming date" he told me and kissed my forehead

"I would never, meet back here around one?" I asked him and he nodded.

"one sounds great, now let's get some food"

I made us some eggs, bacon, and toast and all four of us ate together. I mostly listened while the other three talked, it made me smile to see how they all interacted with each other; and to be quite honest, I'm surprised Morgan and William aren't mates. the way the two interact and tease each other, you would think they were. The only thing they really didn't do was flirt. I really hoped all of them found their mates soon so they could all have what Alex and I have. I had always watched mated couples and how happy they seemed but, to be one of those couples.. I finally understand and I hope they all find that soon.

once breakfast was done, Alex and William headed up to Alex's office while Morgan and I headed outside. she had convinced Alex to let us go shopping since the swimsuit they had picked for me probably wasn't going to fit me since I was filling out so much now. I actually looked healthy and my curves were finally showing for the first time in my life and I loved it.

As Morgan and I were heading to the gates we were met by Zack, who looked confused.

"where are you two off to?" he asked

"Shopping, Astrid needs some more clothes that fit her a bit better and a swimsuit. is that okay with you?" Morgan asked with a laugh and Zack made a face at her, like an annoyed older brother.

"of course, but I'll go with you. just to make sure you're both okay" Zack answered and Morgan made a grumpy face but I put my hand on her arm. due to recent events, it was smart. I still hadn't had any proper training and Zack has been a fighter his whole life.

"Thank you, Zack. I appreciate you offering to come with us" I said and offered him a smile. I could physically see him relax a little and he nodded.

"You're welcome, let's get going" Zack said and we all headed into town. I sent Alex a text to let him know that Zack was joining us on the shopping trip

"good idea, thank you for taking him with" Alex texted me back and I sent him a heart emoji before putting my phone in my pocket.

We all soon reached the store that Morgan insisted that we go to, Zack hung out by the front to keep an eye on things but so he also wasn't involved with Morgan's shopping habits. she put me in so many different outfits and kept complimenting me and putting new stuff into the basket. Alex is going to lose it when he sees how much she's putting in there.. I thought, we hadn't even reached the swimsuits yet. though once we did.. oh boy.

she handed me a black bikini that tied in so many places that it took me forever to get into but I liked how it fit and how it was on my body. that one was a winner as well as two more after that. once we were done we paid and Morgan refused to let me see the end price.

"All done?" Zack asked and I nodded as well as Morgan.

"yep! thanks for letting us have some girl time even though you're here" Morgan said with a big smile.

"It sounded more like dress Astrid up in clothes time but as long as you both had fun" he shrugged. Zack didn't come off as an overly happy guy. he was pretty neutral in his voice and nonchalant in his body language. in the pictures I had seen of him when all of them were kids, he seemed like a very happy person. I wonder what changed..

"do you mind if we stop at one more place? i need to grab something" Zack finally said as we were leaving the store.

"That's fine" I answered and we all headed the direction to where he needed to go. Morgan and I stopped when Zack did.

"stay here, I'll be right back" he said and we both looked confused but stayed where we were as he walked away and into a shop.

"hey, Morgan?"

"Yeah? what's up?"

"Zack wasn't always like this was he? what happened?" I asked, looking over at her and there seemed to be a little sadness that came over her too.

"he had his heart broken pretty badly over a girl he was pretty sure was his mate. her name was Abby, she moved here around when.. you know who.. got involved with our lives" she began to explain and I knew she was talking about Shelby. "well.. she was kind of quiet and she had the whole goth thing going for her. the two got pretty attached to one another but once Abby saw he was getting picked on by everyone else for being around her, she distanced herself but he kept pursuing her. they both were so sure they were mates..." she trailed off a moment. "we all did.." she sighed and looked down at the ground then back to me.

"it was Abbys eighteenth birthday, we were all at a party and Zack had looked every where for her, hoping to find out if she could feel their bond or not and... he found her in bed with her actual mate. he said he understood and he wasn't the type to stand in the way of those things but.. it broke him. he walked around all depressed for the rest of high school and then it developed into what it is now. dark and quiet. people say he chose the style he wears because of her, I say it's because he's sad. and the man looks great in black with all the doom and gloom but I just wish I could see him happy, you know?"

I nodded, I also hoped that Zack found his mate; he deserved to be happy just like everyone else. After a few minutes he came back out to us and gestured for us to lead back home. "everything okay?" I asked and he nodded.

"yep. let's get back, I'm ready to go flop on the couch" he answered and all of us headed towards the pack house.

Once we were all back inside we all headed our separate ways. Zack went to the couch as he said he would, Morgan went to the kitchen to grab some food and I headed up to the bedroom so I could put away all of thr clothes I got today; I just hoped that Alex wouldn't be too upset by how much was spent.

I had just finished putting the clothes away and sat down on the couch when Alex came walking into the room. I looked over at him and smiled happily. "Hi there"

"Hello gorgeous, how was shopping?"

"It was fun, I got some stuff I really liked. Morgan had fun dressing me up in all kinds of stuff" I laughed while he came over to me. he took my hand and pulled me up to stand then hugged me tightly

"That's good baby, I'm happy you had a great time.." he cooed and buried his face into my hair. "ready to go swimming? I can't wait to see that divine body of yours in a swimsuit"

"I am, and I hope you like what I picked out. Morgan insisted I get a few"

"I'm absolutely sure I will and of course she did" he laughed and let me go. "go on and change and I'll do the same" he said and gently pushed me towards the closet so I could change. I giggled and hurried along, closing the door to the closet behind me so I could get changed without him peeking.
