Ivet had overslept and surprisingly Liann hadn’t barged in dragging her by the foot to work— Liann should have considering it was almost noon when she woke up—it wasn’t at all because she wanted to but she felt the heat of her beddings became unbearably hot and the aching of her body became too awful from laying down on one side for too long.
She had also been too hungry to continue sleeping—her tummy hadn’t stopped aching form the absence of food neither did her dry throat, everything was rather uncomfortable at that point that she had to wake up—even if she did not wish to.
She did it all—all her morning routines then when downstairs to feast to her stomach content, which meant a stomachache at least.
But taking the last step off the stairs she suspiciously studied the room.
It was quiet downstairs—too quiet. Even if Liann barely spoke most times there would be some noise or rumbling from the store but there was absolutely nothing—strange was a perfect fit for it because the store was empty and the ‘closed’ sign by the door had not been flipped over to ‘open’.
Explains a lot really—mostly why Liann had not woken her up, the woman wasn’t even awake to begin with and at a quarter past eleven in the morning on a Monday.
Must have been a miracle.
An idea popped up in her mind literally brought a wide smile on her face—a mixture of both excitement and would be skinned alive but she still did it.
And that was when she found herself placing a tray down by Liann’s bed—breakfast in bed, brunch more like—now she just had to wait for her to wake up.
Ivet had herself seated at the edge of Liann’s bed, legs crossed happily munching away the bowl of cereal in her hands, occasionally—no, not occasionally because she hadn’t taken her eyes off sleeping Liann.
She looked less ready to kill her now— peaceful and busy cuddling the stuffed animal—the bed sheet rested just above her hips, the neckline of her large shirt slipping off her shoulder exposing her bare skin enough—just enough to make Ivet take her gaze elsewhere.
Liann had practically been pouting in her sleep and she looked cute, her lower lip held out more than her upper lip, her arms suffocating the stuffed animal—if it was alive that it, it would be barely alive considering the grip around it’s frame.
Her hair had somewhat managed to slip out the bun covering her eyes and out of habit Ivet reached out to brush her hair away— it was gentleman like right?
She hadn’t even reached a inches away from her face when Liann had her hand around Ivet’s wrist stopping the girl.
“Why are you staring at me and in my room.”
Liann mumbled still a bit sleepy. She should have known how light of a sleeper Liann was—she had practically been awake since Ivet quietly tip toed into her room, and her munching down on crispy cereal was not of help.
“I can’t? Plus I brought you breakfast.”
Liann released her hand, flipping her hair out her face she stared at the tray of food at her side then over to Ivet. “Why would you want to just stare at me in my sleep?”
“Because you looked cute.”
As she sat up straight she hummed taking the tray onto her laps. “Thanks for breakfast.” Liann said. With a slice of half eaten toast in hand she glared at Ivet—was she seriously going to watch her have breakfast.
“Get back to work.”
The store that hadn’t been opened and the day was very close to noon— Ivet didn’t feel like working at all and she wasn’t interested in spending the day standing wait for a customer in this hot weather.
Placing the bowl away she moved closer towards Liann with a smirk. “I can work on something else.” she brushed her thumb over Liann’s lip wiping away the crumbs.
“We have a business to run.” Liann glared, not at Ivet though but her thumb residing on her lip— continuously brushing it.
“We are still closed.”
She still hadn’t moved her thumb away from her lips nor did she plan on doing it.
“You know—”
Ivet shushed her by placing a finger over her lips. If her glare was not enough before for Ivet certainly it would have been enough now because Liann was probably ready to slap her.
“Let’s have a lazy Monday.”
“I’ll cut your hand off.” Liann hissed slapping Ivet’s hand away. The girl should have taken a hint by now but once her hand smacked off she already had her lips against Liann’s own lips.
“But—I—missed—you.” Ivet spoke between kisses. Pulling back she pouted as her hands squished Liann’s cheeks.
As much as Liann found her annoying she looked really cute not kissing her would be a crime.
A short intended kiss had been what she was going for, unlike her Ivet wasn’t—brushing her finger tips against Liann’s skin sensually—she might have been giving that lazy Monday a thought and it was winning.
Or maybe Ivet’s hand was shadowing her judgement but she could careless.
