"How was your day, princess?" Roan smiled at her as he leaned on the door's fram. His sweet voice made her mind relax. "Ah," Maela groaned. She rolled on the bed and covered her face in the sheet. "What is it?" A frown appeared on Roan's face as he uncrossed his arms and started to walk to her. "What did happen, sweaty?" Roan ran his hand over her head. worrying showed in his voice. His eyes travelled her entire body. "Do you remnember that b***h?" Maela asked. Her voice came muffled. She didn't lift her face to meet his look. Roan winced at the mention of her. sighing, he rolled his eyes. "What did she do that time?" he moved a little bit so he can sit down next to her. Putting his hand on her head. He kept moving his hand up and down. Maela closed her eyes as she calmed down. She kept like this for a while. Then she opened her eyes. She raised her head and turned it so she can now look at Roan in his eyes. 'Those beautiful eyes.' Maela thought to herself as she stared at her mate. Roan smirked. "Like what you see, princess?" Roan whispered. Maela shivered. His seductive voice always made her shiver. She can't control it. Maela tried to hide her embarrassing by turning her head to the other side. She can't be the first to fall! Her actions only made Roan laugh. He always enjoyed teasing her. Using her hand, Maela hit him in his legs. Roan sniffed heigh. He tried to make her feel guilty. But he couldn't keep that act as he fell on his back laughing. He stopped his laughing and bend over to carry Maela. sweeping her into his lap. He caressed her hair like a little child. The more Maela stay on his lap, the more she relaxed. "Can you imagine what she did!" Maela shouted as she gritted her teeth. Anger showed her in her voice. "The b***h coped Elena and made it look like the other way out! she yelled. "Worse, everyone believed her because she is rich. They said that there is now way the rich would copy the poor!" Maela grinted. "Only if they knew how wealthy Elena is. They all would be surprised!" Maela chuckled at the end. Roan pressed his lips together. Times like those, Maela looked like a villain. He loved it. "And now you act like it's your responsibility?" Roan comment, still moving his hand in every direction. He liked the feeling of the tingling. "It's my responsibility!" Maela defended. She looked at him with narrowed eyes. Roan only sighed. "Elena is only a human. While we are were!" she yelled, getting of Rosn's lap. So now she can face him. Roan tighed his jaw. He didn't like that at all. He wanted her back. That's whay he reached his hand to her but she slapped it. "Beside.... She is my best friend.... My only friend." Maela said. Her voice came low and wobbly. She looked at Roan. Her eyes telling him what her mouth couldn't. "I know babe. I know." He calmed her as he hugged her tight. Maela closed her eyes as she hugged him back. "You are a good friend, you know." He spoke."I mean how many friends out there ready to throw a magnified party. Just for their best friend?" he wondered. His voice held a little sarcasm. "You know?" Maela broke the hug, so she can face him. A look of surprise on her face. "Yes." He smiled. His dreamy eyes matched his voice. He stared at her as he extended his hand. His smile grow as he enjoyed the sparkes from his fingers that are dancing now on her chin. "So, your parents." His smile turned into a smirk. Seeing her bloodless face, he laughed. Nothing more fun than teasing her. Roan narrowed his eyes. After rethink he thought, 'Not the most fun. There is something else more fun.' WHAT!" Maela screamed. She looked at her mate with wided eyes. He smirked, "Why did you though they agreed to that?" He questioned. Raising his brow. "All that number of humnans and were from other packs." He took a breath. "Would be a headache to deal with!" he explained. "You have no idea about the warriors and patrol reactions when they knew about it!" he followed. "No. Do you have any idea about their reaction when the kitchen staff knew! when they knew the numbers!" Roan's voice filled with amusement. "Some of them almost passed out!" he yelled. When Maela heared Roan, she laughed. She fell into the sheet trying to catch her breath. Her mate only stared at her smiling. Then he went to her and started tickling her. "W... what .. are... you.. doing?" Maela couldn't finish her sentence properly. "You .... find that .... funny. Ha!" She rolled over the bed. Roan still didn't stop. He smiled from ear to ear. "Apology! Apology for all the misery YOU MADE!" Roan mocked. His tone mimicked a jude in a court telling his judgement. still, he didn't stop. "Am .... I ... Sorry. please .... Stop ..." she giggled while straggle to finish. "You said it wrong, sweaty. Repeat it." Roan hover over her. laughing as she tried and failed to escape him. "I .... am.... sorry.... please." Maela tried to speak through her giggles. After apology probably. Roan stooped tickling her. A look of victory on his face as he looked down at her. Maela after catching her breath, she looked at her mate. Maela's face went poker face. Her eyes sparkled with mischief. As well as her lips curved into a smirk. "Shit." Roan's lower lip quivered. That was all Roan said before he started to run. His speed high as if his life counted on it. Maela immediately followed him. Increasing her speed so she can catch him. In the halls, the pack members smiled as they watched their beta running for his life. while his mate, their beloved princess followed him. Like a cat running after a mouse. The fear look on his face was pricelessly! ***** "Stop! I can't." a young woman pleated. "No! We can't stop now." a young man replied to her. "But I can't handle any more. I need to rest." The young woman cried. She sniffed a lot hoping to catch her breath. The young man stopped his movement. He looked at her. He knew that they went a far. Still, that's wasn't enough for him. "Just a little more, honey. We can't stop like that in the middle. Just a little more. I promise." He held the woman's chin between his hands. The woman looked at him with tears shimmered in her eyes. She was exhausted. She didn't want to continue. But he has a point they can't stop like that. The woman nodded her head. Therefore, the man smiled. "It will be over soon I promise." He tried to calm her. His sweat and calming Voice did affect her. As she smiled back to him. Even if it was dark, they could see themselves but not clearly. The man could see how tired she is. The sweet that covered her whole body. Her exhausted and swallowed eyes from all that crying. Even her voice became rough. And her breathing became ragged and uneven. His jaw tightened. She can't take more. He knew that. But for her and himself, they can't stop now. They had to move. That why he held her hand once again and continued. This time she didn't object. The woman winced as her feet get hurt. Her legs becam weak. She did promise him but that is to much. She hoped that everything could end soon. The man kept observing the woman, trying to finf a rhythm suits her. He doesn't want her to stressed. But the more they continued, the more it became harder to follow. And he knew that. The woman cried. The man looked at her. She held her legs. Something happened to her. The man stopped and kneeled before her. The man started to chuckle sadly. Now with her cut she can't walk anymore. And him being extremely exhausted can't hold her snd run. They were over. He knew that. He kee it from the start but he hoped that might be a chance for them. Just a little chance. But he was wrong. "....Go." The woman said. Her voice empty from any emotion. "Just go." She repeated again. The man eyes wided as well as his jaw dropped. "I won't let you. Ever!" Hurt and determination mixed in his tone. The woman's face went blank. "Can't you see it?" Her voice tired and hopeless. "See what?" The man whispered. The woman sniffed. Pain painted all over her face. "It's playing with us." The eoman covered her face with her hands. Her sobbing became higher and higher. The man frowned, "What do you mean?" He reached her. "Can't you hear it?" she tilted her head a little. The man shocked his head. The woman smiled sadly at him before she continues, "We never escaped. It has always following us." tears ran down her cheeks. The man's face darken. "Baby, it may be," "No! I know that. I didn't tell you," Her crying became higher. "It's toying with us. Look!" She pointed to a distant tree. The man looked at the direction she had pointed to. There were nothing but tress. He moved his gaze all over the place. "baby, like I said it," the man eyes wided. She was right. was all he thought as he starred at the glowing eyes. it had his teeth showed. somehow he could feel it mocking them. The man quickly hold her legs again. His eyes went round. The cutting on her feet wasn't because of a wood as he thought. No, it glowed with that sticky matter on it. She was right. They never escaped. It was only toying with them. Like a cat running after a mouse.
