Chapter 14: CEO's wife

Cy's POV

I woke up beside Austin again after a long time. I'm not sure what to feel.

Agad akong tumayo at lumabas ng kwarto papunta sa sa labas ng bahay to call Renzo pero nang magsimulang mag-ring ang tawag ay biglang pumasok sa utak ko ang nangyari kahapon, when Austin kissed me and I kissed him back.

Bigla akong nakaramdam ng konsensya. I feel like cheating on Renzo even though we are not a couple. I'm doing this for him yet I'm not sure if I'm really doing this for him. Does that even make sense?

"Hello?"

It's him.

"Renzo, hi, good morning."

"Cy!"

Sumigla kaagad ang boses niya nang malaman niyang ako yung kausap niya. I changed my phone number just in case Austin is tracking who I call or message.

"I missed you, you have no idea how much."

"I do actually."

I joked and he chuckled.

"How are you? Are you okay there?"

"Hmm, I am. How are you?"

"Everything is okay now. All because of you."

He answered and I smiled bitterly.

"Hindi rin naman magkakaganyan yung kompanya kung hindi dahil sa akin eh."

"Shh, stop that."

But it's the truth.

"Have you eaten?"

Pag-iiba ko ng usapan.

"I'm making breakfast right now, you?"

"Not yet, I just woke up. What are you cooking?"

"Just oatmeal with fruits and nuts..."

"As always."

We said in chorus and both chuckled.

He always makes that for breakfast. It tastes amazing but I think he needs to give other breakfast recipes a chance too.

"Are you going to work later?"

"Yes, I miss seeing you at work."

I miss that too.

"Maikli lang naman yung 20. In just 20 days, I'll be with you again."

"Mahaba na ang isang araw kapag wala ka."

Sagot niya at napangiti ako.

"I'm not going to lie, I'm really worried that you're with him again."

"Don't be."

"I can't help it. He is still your husband."

"I'm sorry."

I want to say "trust me" but I just broke that trust when I kissed Austin yesterday. What the f**k is wrong with me?

"Are you still in love with him?"

He asked.

"No."

Mabilis kong sagot.

"Then don't say sorry."

"Hmm."

"Go eat, it's almost late for breakfast."

He said.

"Hmm, okay. Take care."

"I will, you too."

The call ended.

I'm happy to hear his voice again.

Nakangiti akong pumasok sa loob ng bahay at halos atakihin ako sa puso nang makita ko si Austin na nakatingin sa akin habang nakapamewang. He's not wearing a shirt at halatang kakagising lang because of his messy hair.

"Kanina pa kita hinahanap."

He said with his grumpy face.

"Oh, nagpapahangin lang ako."

"Sus."

"Ang aga-aga, wag mo akong simulan."

Sagot ko sa kaniya at naglakad papunta sa kitchen to cook breakfast.

"What do you want to eat?"

I asked.

"You."

"What? Austin, stop playing with me."

Masungit kong sabi sa kaniya.

"I'm asking. You? What do you want?"

"Oh."

"But if you want the first one then..."

"Stop talking."

Pagputol ko sa sinasabi ko at tumawa lang siya.

"How about pancakes and scrambled eggs?"

"Sure."

Sagot niya at nagsimula na akong magluto.

"Do you want to go to work with me later?"

"Why?"

"Just asking, baka mainip ka mag-isa mamaya."

"I'm fine here alone."

"Are you sure?"

He pouted.

"Do you want me to come?"

Tanong ko at todo ngiti naman siyang tumango.

I guess that's fine.

"Okay."

"YES!"

He shouted.

"Austin, quite. Baka natutulog pa yung mga kapitbahay."

"Our house is so big, they will not hear me or us."

"Kahit na."

"Pwede nga tayong mag-ingay mamayang gabi and they will still not hear us."

He said with a silly smile.

"Stop talking."

I know what he means.

Pagkatapos kong magluto ay hinain ko na kaagad. After we ate ay pareho kaming nag-prepare to go to work, his work.

He is wearing a suit while I am just wearing white pants and a white tube top layered with a cream oversized formal coat.

"Damnnnnnn."

Austin said pagkalabas niya sa bathroom nang makita ako.

"What?"

"Nothing, you're just so hot love. You look like a model."

Sagot niya at kinunan ako ng picture.

"Hey! Delete that."

Mamaya kung ano yung itsura ko dun.

"Ang ganda mo."

"Delete that."

Pag-ulit ko.

"You know I won't."

Yeah because you are stubborn as f**k.

"Whatever, let's go."

"Can I drive?"

I asked and he immediately gave me the key without saying anything.

Pinagbuksan niya ako ng pinto ng kotse pagkatapos ay sumakay siya sa kabila. Nang makita ko siyang naka-seatbelt na ay pinaandar ko na ang kotse paalis. I work as a secretary so I'm used at driving. I'm a good driver, hindi naman kaagad ibibigay ni Austin yung susi kung hindi.

We immediately caught the attention of everyone nang makarating kami. All eyes are on us as we walk. I can even read on their lips the word "wow".

"Good morning sir, ma'am."

Austin's secretary greeted us when we arrived at his office.

"Good morning."

I greeted back habang si Austin naman ay tumango lang sa kanya.

Pumasok kami sa office niya at kaagad akong umupo sa sofa.

"Damn, you look good even when you're just sitting."

"You're so annoying."

Kanina pa siya ganyan.

Medyo naiilang na tuloy ako.

"You're welcome."

He winked.

Someone suddenly knocked on the door and when Austin said "come in" ay pumasok ang secretary niya na may dalang tray.

"Here's your coffee, tea, and macaroons sir and ma'am."

"Thank you. You can go."

Austin said and then she left.

"Thank you."

Pahabol kong sabi at kumuha ng macaroons and poured myself a tea.

"You still drink tea?"

I asked.

"No, only coffee now. The tea is for you."

"Tea is healthier. You should drink tea."

"I know but coffee is what I need. I have such busy work."

Sagot niya.

"If you say so."

"But since you said it, I will."

He answered so I also poured him tea.

"Here."

"Thanks, wife."

He smiled.

After that short snack time, ay nagsimula na siyang magtrabaho while I'm just watching a movie on the big TV in his office.

Nang ilang oras na ang makalipas at natapos ko na yung movie ay nakaramdam na ako ng inip. I looked at Austin and he's still focused doing work.

I'm getting hungry again and I don't want to disturb his secretary so maybe it's better if I go to the cafeteria muna para na rin makapaglakad-lakad ako.

"Austin."

Pag-agaw ko sa atensyon niya.

"Hmm?"

He asked.

"I'll just go to the cafeteria."

"Why?"

Tanong niya ulit.

"To buy food, of course."

"You can just tell my secretary."

"No, I also want to walk around. I'm bored."

"Oh, I'm sorry. Sure then my love."

With his approval, I walked out of his office to go to the cafeteria. There's a lot of employees around at halos lahat sila ay nakatingin sa akin.

"Who is she? Is she a model?"

Rinig kong bulong ng nasa likod ko. Nakapila kasi ako to buy food. I know I don't have to but I don't want to get more attention by saying I'm Austin's wife. Alam ko namang hindi ako kilala ng lahat ng employees na nandito.

"Yeah, she looks like a model."

The other person agreed.

"Stop talking about other people, she's the CEO's wife."

A familiar voice said and when I looked back I saw Travis.

"Travis."

He's Austin's bestfriend, tatlo sila ni Mico. He also works here.

"Hi, how are you?"

"Good, you?"

"I'm good. You know you don't have to wait in line, right? Let's go."

He said and offered his shoulder to me. I smiled at kumapit sa braso niya pagkatapos ay dumiretso sa harap.

"Is Austin giving you a hard time?"

"Always."

I answered and he chuckled.

I know people say you're boyfriend's or husband's friends are not your friend but that's that is not how it is to me. Travis and Mico are good friends of Austin but they never tolerate.
