AN INTRUDERBy the end of the second day of the medical conference, Jamie had exchanged numbers with researchers, doctors, and allied health staff who were keen for her to join them in their areas of speciality. She explained how at this point in her career, she wanted to get through her residency and gain more medical, emergency care, and acute injury experience. She was close to specialising in a new field, but not quite there yet.
After walking through the exhibit one final time, she waved to a group of doctors and ambled towards the exit of the building, heading towards her hotel. Angelo had mentioned that he would be working, keeping abreast of the serial killer case, until six o’clock. No doubt he would be in touch about having dinner.
