EMOTIONAL RELEASEJamie waved goodbye to the security guard outside the hotel room when Angelo returned. It was two o’clock in the morning by the time he returned to his room, his shoulders sagged and his face haggard. He’d liaised with the local police, watched the security footage, and interviewed the two room attendants on shift on this floor for earlier today. Hopefully, he would find a lead or sign that this person wasn’t as dangerous as she first thought.
Jamie moved over to the couch when Angelo joined her. “What happened? Any leads?” She shifted her body back as his legs brushed hers.
