The Way Things Are Looking Up

There was something with the runes that I do not know much since I was not being exposed to any of them before. Maybe I did come across those runes before but then there was not much guidance on how to recognise them and to arrange them in such a way that it could be turned into a mystical use for the wielder. Perky had the intention of setting up a sort of curriculum within the school since there might be some classes free on the upper floors. It might be able to teach or maybe guide those who might be interested in rune inscriptions. As for Doc, we would be waiting for those expert forgers who would be able to forge those mithril pieces according to what we need currently so that it would be forged together with the existing armour pieces that we currently utilised and be able to withstand the volcano-like spit from those hellhounds and the physical attacks from the lava monsters as well. "Daddy, are you thinking aloud to yourself once more?" HRH JR tugged at the ends of my sleeve and looked up to me as he asked me the question. "Well, that's right JR. Daddy had been thinking of something but its just a general train of thoughts and nothing more to it." I replied to him as I reached out a hand and patted his head. "Would you like to speak your mind, Daddy? Maybe we all could help you out if you share with us what was in your mind right now?" HRH Amy was next to HRH JR as she too looked up at me with her big, cute eyes. "Well... It's like this. I am just a normal bloke who had just gotten a miniscule breakthrough in blacksmithing, and it would take me some months to get to where I wished." "You had seen me at Grandpa's Jack workplace, right? Daddy had been there for hours, and there was only very slight improvements. Right now I had gotten a spare set of armours and Doc here would be rendering the rest of the assistance to us once he had called upon his expert forgers." HRH JR and Amy nodded their heads as they had witnessed me wearing just my gambeson and nothing below my belt as I tinkered with the anvil and the 10 pounds hammer. They could not bear to see the dark forested area within the nether regions anymore since it was dark and eerie. Hahaha...! "There would be more people involved in this project, is that right, Daddy? There would be expert forgers who would be able to forge those mithril pieces for us then, would that stand corrected, my dear Daddy?" HRH Amy inquired as she knew that we need advanced pieces of armour to deal with the beasts that had been plaguing the lands. Using our current armour would not cut it since it would still give the same consequences to the user, like the current Guardian that was being treated by Priestess Isabela. "That's right, Amy. So I do not have to toil too much in the Realm and would be spending more time with all of you instead." I replied and both the children looked ecstatic when they heard that I would be spending more time with them and at home. Suddenly a familiar voice boomed in my head and nearly made me jump in shock, "Audemars, go look for a private space immediately. I need to talk to you urgently. Something cropped up that needed your utmost attention now." I looked around and immediately excused myself. I told my children that I would be right back as I went hurriedly out of the hospital ward. I proceeded and went into one of the empty cubicles as I began to talk to Ceres telepathically. "My Goodness. Are you always like this? Catching me at a bad time as I was conversing with the rest of the mythical creatures? What was so important that needs my attention right away?" I chided Ceres for barging in when I was discussing urgent matters with the rest of the mythical beings for the task that would be undertaken by them soon. "It's like this: Max would be making his appearance here soon, so this series would be taking a diversion pretty soon. You may or may not remember the tasks given out when you were in Ingmery, but these tasks had emerged once again." "These tasks would not be for the other adventurers or side characters but for you and your family to undertake. This quests would be in effect once your task on getting the expert mithril forgers from the Dwarves. Once you had done with Amadeus and his kin, along with Perky and its runes study, Max and I would be collaborating with you soon." Ceres ended with a high tone which indicated its high expectancy of us getting through the quests that would be assigned to us. "What good will it do for us? I mean we would be within this town or out of town for these quests to be successfully performed and executed?" "Well, Audemars... Most of the quests are out of town as it had 16 of them altogether. You need to complete them in sequence as it would help you to improve yourself in this series." I guessed its hard for me to decipher when Ceres was talking to me in tongues and riddles. It would be best if I wait for the right time before Ceres and Max assigned the quests to us. "But how come these quests come at this moment then? Would this be a sort of diversion in this series or something which the author had some dark themes in store for us?" I thought to myself as I rubbed my chin which had never grown a single stubble for months. "Audemars, I think the continuing series would have some twist following the other task that would be due. Furthermore, I would be updating you on the system that had since updated without your knowledge. Don't forget that I could also read what's in your mind." Ceres sounded in my mind again in response to what I had in my mind. "Ah... Alright then. I would be off back to the others as to update on what they would be doing in the next few days since Aerin would be undergoing her treatment here." I responded as I walked out from the cubicle and headed to the treatment room where the rest of the mythical races were. Well, since this would mark a new era for my family and I, the next best thing for me to do would be taking care of things first. =*= "So where were we right now? Would you be able to run a recap of what we would be expecting in the weeks to come? It would at least gives a new heads up for the readers, you know." I quipped as everyone looked at me expectedly as I had popped back into the ward. "I would like to run a small class to guide those who are interested to learn the secrets of the runes. Not only this is a secret language, but it could use to imbue certain mystical powers into armours and weapons. Similarly to the summoning stone that I had given you, His Majesty. It had been imbued with a rune, especially to call me from anywhere you are, and I would be able to materialise before you." Perky replied with zest as it mentioned about runes and the class that it would be able to teach in the future. "Several expert forgers would be summoned to this place to be able to assist you in turning the mithril ores into pieces that you can imbue into your current pieces of armour," Doc replied as he recapped what we had been discussing for the past hour or so. "I am done with the induction of our kin over here and would report on their accommodations as they had brought little belongings along with them." Amadeus chipped in as he had returned from his duty to assist his kin over to where they would be putting up next. "I would be here until my Aerin recovers from her injuries and well enough to regenerate her lost limb. I would be monitoring the progress and would be returning to the Kingdom of Caras. I would need to update my wife and see how is the situation over there." The Great Elven King voiced his thoughts as I acknowledged them. "We will monitor the rest of the mithril and obsidian ores that would be brought in periodically by the two airships, won't we, Daddy?" HRH Amy and JR chorused in unison about their intention to monitor the movements of those coveted ores that would be part of our improved armours and weapons. "And how are you both going to do that? You are not even 3 years of age and would be easily trampled when you get to near to the workers that would be shifting those goods out from the airships." I inquired the children since they might endanger themselves unnecessarily. "Awww... Daddy...!!! We could monitor from a distance and also get the help of the seniors to ensure the goods are stored properly. Furthermore, we are sure that there would be someone to count the sacks of obsidian and mithril ores, am I right?" HRH Amy replied as she felt slightly offended when regarded as a shortie. Hahaha... Hey...!!! I did not mean that you know...!!! "You have your own set of duties too, am I right? Furthermore, you know what is waiting for you at you know where right now. Would you be attending to them right after this or would you have any specific time for it?" Heather hinted to me and made faces at me since she knew I had been communicating secretly with Ceres regards to matters unknown to her. Besides, if I were to tell her about the quests that would be waiting for us right after the mythical races had accomplished, I wondered if she would be elated or biting me to stem her enthusiasm. "His Majesty, once our kin had settled down in their new homes and tasked along with the community. I would render my services to you along with the three classes of wood elves adventurers. Would any questions arise for our pledge of allegiance to your cause?" Amadeus spoke up right after I thought everyone had said their piece. "I do not think there would be any questions that arise from it. I am sure Phoenix and Eagle welcome the extra forces coming in to assist in fortifying the whole town as well as its perimeter. Everyone heard my last comment and bobbed their heads up and down in agreement. Its a win-win situation and any friendly forces that would be willing to partake in or our worthy cause is welcomed with open arms.
