We each took our potions on the mats in front of us and started out with our daily stretches. It was important to warm your bodies up, so you didn’t injure yourself when it came to the rest of our combat training. It also helped to strengthen your core, abbs, groin and torso areas, so when you are fighting you are more flexible and agile. By the time I had finished, my body felt relaxed and hurt in all the right places. I was ready for what I knew would come next. Mr Marsden called everyone back to the front of the class and told us all to wait there. Autumn, Lilly, and I took the opportunity to have a drink of water while we waited.
“Right class, I want everyone to form a circle over here” he shouted. We all did as we what Mr Marsden asked. He had rearranged the room, moving most of the matts and all of the training equipment to the side of the room. Leaving only a few mats in the centre of the room where he stood, and we all had gathered as instructed.
“Today as all of you are aware is your combat training, what better way to practise the techniques you have all been learning this week but on each other. To make it fair to everyone I will choose your partners for this task.”
“There are some rules, and I will go over these first before we start. I will disqualify anyone who breaks them and there will be a heavy punishment for anyone who tries.”
“First off absolutely no transitioning into your wolfs, this is a combat exercise after all, the gym would not cope with all your wolfs in the same space and we are not trying to kill each other.” several of the students laughed at that.
“Second, no scratching, biting, slapping or cat fighting. In the real world none of that would protect you from a rogue attack, so only use the techniques you have been shown.”
“Thirdly, fight fairly, expected the unexpected from your opponent. Matches end when a student submits, taps out or is knocked out. Any questions?”
Amber, Jessie, and Becky were all huddled together. I hope Mr Marsden pairs me with one of those three. Pay backs a b***h I thought laughing to myself to think I almost didn’t come to school today. Everybody understood the assignment, so Mr Marsden started teaming everyone together. Matches would be done one at a time, this was so Mr Marsden could concentrate on the fights and give feedback after. Also ensuring there was nobody breaking his rules. Autumn and Lilly were teamed together they were both evenly matched and their fight ended in a tie because they both could not beat each other. Becky and Jessie were also paired together, there fight was just sad to watch. These girls belonged at a nail salon they did not have a clue what they were doing. Mr Marsden had seen enough and called an end to there fight saying they both needed extra practice and see him after class was over. Then it was my turn and guess who I was paired with Amber. When Mr Marsden announced that we would be fighting Amber had the biggest smile on her face like the cat had got the cream. Little did she know it was exactly what I wanted. Today I will ruin you and knock that smile off your ugly face. I was trying to look bored and uninterested watching everyone’s fights, but really I was just excited for my turn. I took my place opposite Amber on the mat and waited for the signal from Mr Marsden.
“Ready girls, begin on the count of three.”

Amber was the first to attack, so predictable swinging her arms out to the side trying to hit my face with a left hook. I sidestepped her blocking her move but swinging my right leg out at the same time, causing her to lose balance smacking her head on the mat when she fell. She wasn’t expecting me to fight back. She quickly sprang to her feet shouting “you’ll pay for that b***h” coming towards me again like a rabid dog on steroids. I was a lot quicker and more agile on my feet dancing circles around her, blocking every punch and kick and dealing my own blows to her face and stomach. I could tell Amber wasn’t enjoying my new found confidence and was getting increasingly frustrated which made her punches sloppy. When I had enough of playing with her I decided to end it. I grabbed her by the neck lifting her body off the ground and then with all my strength smashed her back and head into the floor mat pinning her with my body. After a couple of failed attempts to remove me realising the more she tried the harder I squeezed she tapped the floor in submission. I jumped off her and turned my attention back to the class celebrating my win. Big Mistake, Amber used my distraction to her advantage and punched me in the back of the head. Everything went black and I fell forward onto the mat unconscious. Lesson learned never turn your back on your enemy.
