It felt like an age before I came round and for just a minute I thought it was just a horrible nightmare. That was until I felt Sasha withdrawing to the back of my mind, in pain and mourning the loss of our mate. How could this happen? How could he do this to us? This isn’t how this was supposed to go, were destined mates, we found each other and we belong together. He promised tonight was the night he announced me as his mate instead looking over at him, Ambers in his arms and everyone is looking at me like I am a freak. He’s betrayed us, made me believe we would face the world together and that I wasn’t alone in this world anymore. Sadly my friends Lilly and Autumn helped me get to my feet feeling betrayed, hurt but most of all angry I decided something in that second. “I’m not going to let him do this to us sash” I brushed the wrinkles from my dress and with all the courage I had left, and with my heart breaking, I walked with purpose towards the pair to confront them.

Looking Damien straight in the eyes I shouted “ just who the hell do you think you are, don’t hate me, pffft I am your mate, does that mean nothing to you, how can you do this to me? Damien with a look of disgust smirked and replied,

“You, You’re a mistake, who would ever want you for a mate omega, its actually pathetic how you thought I would accept you, you of all people, your better served as a hore as no man would want you any other way. You make me sick, just looking at you and your hand me down clothes. The moon goddess choose me a disgusting vile creature for a mate, but I don’t want you, you are no mate of mine”

Amber then looks and me with hatred written all over her face

“Shai, he’s mine, he always has been mine. Whatever you thought you had with him was allowed because I allowed it. I needed him to experience life with his mate so he would know what he was giving up by choosing me. However I must say you were a complete disappointment, you couldn’t even fulfil his needs in bed, so he was in my bed every night. You don’t have anything to offer him, not now and not ever I feel sorry for you, your just a pathetic useless omega and no one wants you.” Laughing she turned to Damien and gave a shake of her head, giving him permission to do what he did next.

“Lets get this over with! I Damien Hale Bata of the Midnight Emerald pack and son of Bata Harrison Hale reject you Shai Harriet White as my mate and choose Amber Frankin as my chosen mate” Amber with a look of pure delight pulled Damien in for a kiss.

I was stood frozen in complete shock, Sasha was howling in pain, holding onto my chest I said the words id never wanted to say but I wasn’t going to show just how much they had hurt me, ill be strong even if I brakes me.

“ I Shai Harriet White omega of the Midnight Emerald Pack and daughter of omega Freya White accept your rejection.” I felt the bond between us snap and with it my connection to Damien was gone. It hurts, every nerve ending in my body felt on fire and I cried out in pain doubling over and holding my heart. Everyone was still staring at me and I could here them all silently whispering about how I was pathetic and useless and no good to anyone. Some people were even laughing they found my heartbreak and rejection entertaining. Sasha had gone deathly silent, feeling my whole world crumble before me and unable to stand the atmosphere any more, it was just too much I needed to get out of here.

I turned from the room and ran as fast as my legs could carry me. I needed to be alone and get away from this god awful place and this pack full of hateful people who hurt me and enjoyed my pain. With tears in my eyes I made a beeline for the trees, stripping my body of all clothes and letting Sasha take the lead.

Sasha transformed, feeling my bones snap and shift into place landing on all four paws we took off. My beautiful grey wolf Sasha was free to run wild what she did best. Sasha was faster than the speed of a bullet. She was in pain, but with anger fuelling her she was on a mission. I settled into the back of our minds wanting to find relief from the pain I was feeling. Forget what happened and plan what me and Sasha were going to do next. It wasn’t going to be easy they played me all for a fool, and the feelings of humiliation and rejection are still raw. Sasha was so angry she kept chanting over and over “pay them back, they will all pay” “ rip claw there eyes out, kill them all” moving faster with each chant, she would have killed anyone or anything that got in her way in that moment she was more wolf than she had ever been. “we will make them all pay Sash, we will make them all pay for what they have done to us.” I retreated to the back of Sashas head, I needed to plan what was next for us, but I also needed to let sash let off some steam. Everything that happened, happened for a reason we deserve better we just need to show everyone were not as weak as what they think. We need to get stronger no matter what it takes, we will show the Midnight Emerald pack they messed with the wrong omega, and nothing is going to save them.
