"Are you ready, yet?" I shouted at Rory.
"Almost," she said cheerfully from her bathroom. "Okay done." Rory waltzed out of her room wearing a black off the shoulder bodysuit and a camel-colored short skirt with a slit on the thigh. Of course, she was wearing heels.
"Wow," I said. "You look gorgeous."
"Aw thanks," she smiled.
"You look," she had no words. "Nice." I was wearing a skirt too and a nice shirt. Shay finally came over and she looked wild and cool but still stunning. She was wearing a white graphic tee with a denim skirt. She black tights on underneath and even though they were ripped she still looked put together. To top off her badass look she had a leather jacket and black combat boots. They both their hair down while I wore mine in a bun.
"What the f**k are you wearing," Shay said bluntly.
"What, it's cute," I said shamelessly.
"You're wearing a pleated skirt," she said narrowing her eyes. "It's longer than your dignity." Rory was trying not to laugh but I knew she wanted to.
"Come on, let's just go, we are already late," Rory said to us. We got our bags and headed to the door. We ordered a car service because we knew we would all be drinking tonight. Rory was the only one excited and I just hoped she stayed this way all night. She was the only one most likely to actually get offended or nervous around our dates. I may look like a helpless sheep but I know when to be a wolf and attack. Rory didn't like confrontation and she was always so sweet. Even to those who didn't deserve it.
We finally got to the restaurant twenty minutes later and five minutes later than we were supposed to. We scoped the place out and saw three men sitting together. They all had black hair and grey eyes. The one who looked to be the oldest looked annoyed and was on his phone. He was ruggedly handsome. He had a full beard and slicked to the side hair. He was wearing a nice black suit with cufflinks that had an initial on it, DS. The outer layer was covered in diamonds. Whoever had the luck to be his date, really was a lucky b***h. The other black-haired beauty was cracking his neck. He had a more stubble beard but still looked sharp. His eyes glowed more than the others. His hair was slicked back and he started to run his hands through it. He was wearing a basic black tee and ripped jeans. The last brother who definitely looked like the youngest was just as handsome. His hair was pretty wild and he was clean-shaven. This guy could pass as a male model with his pretty-boy looks. I started to think he would be perfect for Rory. He was dressed in layers. He had a green shirt and over that a cardigan sweater and then still had a nice jacket on over that. He was wearing jeans too but they were tighter than the other brothers. As I started to gossip with the girls about our dates and we guessed who's was who's, I thought to myself none of them really seemed to be my type and I definitely don't think I was theirs.
We had been spying on our dates for two minutes now so we decided to go and sit down before we looked really tardy.
"Um, hi," I said. Rory and Shay looked at me a little annoyed. I didn't mean to sound shy.
"HEY," the pretty boy said. "Nice to see you, very nice."
"About time, your late," the ruggedly handsome one said. "I'm Deckard, that i***t is Talon, and that's Jack over there."
"Oh okay," I said. Deckard wasn't even looking at us.
"I don't want that one," Rory whispered to me. I still think Deckard heard her because he looked up to meet her eyes and smirked.
"So, I know this is weird and all but my mom said she was setting us up with you guys and-,"
"You obviously know that we were forced here by our mother," Deckard said harshly.
"You are with me." He said pointing at Rory.
"You are with Talon," he said pointing at me. "So, that leaves her with Jack." Jack finally looked up at us and he looked at Shay and grinned.
"Down boy," she teased. That just made him grin harder. Rory was leaning on me the entire time.
"Well, okay, I'm Maggie, and she is Aurora, and that's Shay," I introduced ourselves to them.
"Nice skirt," Talon said to me. I knew he was being sarcastic but I didn't care. I told him thanks and smiled. He seemed impressed but his gaze would sometimes fall on Rory and that gaze was obvious. He wanted her to be his date.
"I think mine is broken," Rory whispered. Deckard looked up at her.
"You haven't said anything to me either," he said raising an eyebrow at her.
"How old are you?" she said as she raised her eyebrow back at him.
"31," he said. She looked at me and then at Shay.
"I'm only 22," she said innocently.
"And?" he said bluntly. "I don't bite." He slowly smirked at her and she blushed.
"So, how old are you?" Talon asked me.
"I'm 24," Talon said he was 24 too.
"What about you?" Jack asked Shay.
"I'm 25," she said fiercely.
"Cool, I'm 28," Jack said.
"I can work with that," Shay replied. Shay's mood went from don't want to be here to I want to f**k this man on this table, real fast. I can't blame her, they were all hot.
"So, how did you guys let your mom force you to come on this date," I asked the guys.
"How did your mother force you?" Deckard answered back. "Can't find a date any other way?" I got annoyed at this and I know the girls could tell. My face always shows my emotions. I can't hide them.
"We have other dates after this one," Rory said softly. Deckard quickly moved his intense gaze from me to her.
"Oh really," he said. "I wouldn't want to keep you from them."
"Dude, calm down," Talon said to his brother.
"I'm sorry," Rory said. She couldn't keep up this lie to save her life and I think Deckard knew it. If I didn't know any better I think he was testing and observing Rory.
"So, my mother said you were a model?" Deckard asked Rory.
"Oh, so that's where I know you from," Jack said smiling.
"Yeah, you remember that billboard by the highway," Talon added. Deckard looked at both his brothers with death stares. They both quickly looked away and tried to downplay their smiles.
"What do you do Shay?" Jack asked her.
"I'm a tattoo artist," she replied.
"Cool," he said. There was an awkward silence left after that. I guessed Jack thought she would ask that question back. We all knew Shay didn't care, she was probably just wondering if he would be down to f**k tonight or not. The rest of the dinner was just as weird. Shay barely spoke. Rory tried her hardest to look anywhere but at Deckard. Deckard continued to tease Rory and Talon stared at Rory when his older brother wasn't looking. I was the one doing most of the talking and it looked desperate at one point. We called it a night about an hour later. We decided we would still go dancing tonight.
"So, how did it go," I asked the girls.
"You were there Maggie, you saw that hot mess," Rory said. "Talon gave me his number."
"WOW, REALLY," I said loudly but not because I was shocked but because the club was loud. I could barely hear Rory talking.
"Well, I gave my number to Jack, and he is DTF," she said.
"What? really," I questioned.
"Yeah, I have been texting him since we left," Shay grinned. "He is fine as hell."
"Are you going to call Talon?" I asked Rory.
"No," she shouted. "I just want to forget them. Both of them."
"You sure you didn't get turned on by DADDY!" Shay smirked and winked at Rory.
"NO!" Rory said.
"I bet he didn't feel the same way," Shay said.
"What, why would you say that," Rory asked nervously.
"He followed us here," Shay said as she gestured with her chin to where he was.
"VIP AREA!" I said. "Impressive." Rory looked over at him and the minute he winked at her she quickly turned away.
