CHAPTER ONE.
The fresh air of a new day stormed a teenager's room. Alex, a thirteen year old boy woke up smiling. He had plans for today; riding a jet pack over the forest ,and climbing up the Maple hills which were very steep.
''Alex! '' screamed his mom. ''Go and do the dishes! ''was heard next. Alex enthusiastically ran to the kitchen hoping to see six or seven plates ready for a wash.
What he met was the exact opposite a huge mountain of plates stared at him in the face. He grumbled as he got to work ."I'm going to work honey'',says his mom as she kissed him on his cheek and left through the back door. He was halfway done when he taught about his trip. He would be late if he washed any further. He washed his hands and left to the dining room. There, he found a bottle of soda, a pack of cookies and some half-rotten bananas. "This'll be okay'', he thought aloud.
Alex locked the house and looked up. It was a sunny day; perfect for a hiking trip. With his bag in his right hand and his jet pack on his left, he set out to the forest.
