Switching Job

Her phone buzzed slowing her steps, she looked at the caller's ID, It was Anna, her bestie. She picked the call and placed the phone on her left ears.

"Hello" Stella said.

"Girl, I heard your in town why didn't you tell me are you sick, do you know how much I missed you" Anna said.

"Snap out it, it was just three months, besides why are you calling me" Stella asked.

"Well!! I went to your place but the neighbors said they saw you going on a vacation, what's with you do you now go on trips without me" Anna said sounding concerned.

"Of course not, I wasn't vacating I was relocating I'll send you my address anyways" Stella said.

"Okay" Anna said, Stella nodded even ic no one was there and hanged up the call.

Anna burst through the door, a whirlwind of curiosity and longing.

"I've missed you" Anna said jumping into Stella's arms.

"Get off, am not your boyfriend, when did we get so intimate" Stella snapped at Anna.

"Oh, common, why are being like this anyways what in the world made you relocate" Anna asked.

"Am divorcing Austin" Stella said

"What.... did you just say" Anna said

"You heard me" Stella said.

"What came into you, have you finally snapped out of your one sided love dream.

"Stop it" Stella said

"What about Aurora" Anna said

"She's with him" Stella said.

"Why did you leave Aurora with him, you know he hates you, what if he takes it down on her" Anna

"Far from that, she's comfortable with both Austin and Jasmine" Stella said.

"She should be, Jasmine is your sister anyways" Anna. said.

"She is not my sister and she would never be" Stella snapped.

"Jasmine's really a big deal, first your dad now your husband" Anna said.

"This would all be over, I won't look at her even for a minute any more" Stella said.

"Does your dad even know" Anna asked.

"Know what" Stella asked.

.."About her relationship with Austin" Anna said.

"It doesn't even matters, it's not like it'll change anything" Stella said.

"True... Anyways that shouldn't get in our way right??!.. Oh s**t before I forget our high school set are holding a get together party would you come" Anna said.

"Why would I it's not like they want me there, am not ready to embarrass myself" Stella said.

"Who cares, your way better than a lot of them" Anna said.

"You think??, I got into an unproductive marriage within seven years and now am getting divorced, what could be worst than that" Stella said

"Well Felicia the God fearing choir is now a prostitute" Anna said.

"What" Stella said.

Anna was about to reply when her phone buzzed, it was her brother Jin ho, she picked the call and placed it on her ears using her right hand to signal Stella to wait.

"Hello" She said.

"A guy is waiting for you, he claims to be Jason" Jin ho said.

"Why are you just calling me I'll be there in twenty seconds"Anna said.

"He just came "Jin ho said.

"Thanks anyways" Anna said and hanged up

"Stella let's call it a day, my client is waiting at home" Anna said to Stella.

"Alright" Stella nodded and waved Anna, she was already getting tired of her company, she felt relieved a bit seeing her leave.

Meanwhile, Austin and Aurora were already in Seoul, Stella had no idea they were in town though it wouldn't change anything, if she knew because they weren't in Seoul for but for other important things.

Austin opened the mansion after typing the password, Aurora crawled behind him like a baby chick following it's mother, she wasn't fond of Austin, Instead she liked Jasmine so much, it wasn't even up to a year she met Jasmine but to her she meant the whole world, it was like she has being brainwashed by Jasmine.

Austin opened Stella's room without knocking, he knew she would either be sleeping or working with her computer as usual, then when she saw him she would jump up like a baby with excitement all over her.

His thoughts faded, as he realized she wasn't in the room, he dialed the estate security guard's number and placed the phone on his ears.

"Hello" Austin said with his deep manipulative voice. immediately Michael picked the call.

"Hello Mr Luo, how may I be of help" Michael said from the other end.

"Did something happen in my house" Austin said, avoiding the main reason for his call.

"No, but I think Mrs Luo went on a vacation" Micheal said

"Okay" Austin said and hanged up, he didn't push any further as usual because he cared nothing about the whereabouts of Stella.

Stella laid on her bed after having a cold shower, she unplugged her phone, she had earlier charged, dialing Rose's number.

" Hello" Rose said from the other end.

"Hey, can you secure an Audition ticket" Stella said.

"Here we go again, Stella you ask for this like every year but never show up, the MD seemed very mad last year when he learnt you didn't show up again" Rose complained.

"Chill Rose, am serious this time" Stella said.

"Your serious every time, Fine anyways but this is the last and it's just because of our friendship" Rose said and hanged up.

Stella and Rose were besties in high school though Rose went overseas to study Animation, while Stella studied in Seoul because of her Ambition to marry Austin at all cost.

Stella wanted to start Animations again, she doubted herself because it has been six years since she stopped her carrier, because she wanted to work at Austin's company with the mindset of clinging to him and making him fall for her.

The smooth and professional music that played in the hall made everyone even the waiters feel important, Stella walked to an empty table in the Middle of The Audition hall.

"Stella is that you" A sweet and lovely female voice voice echoed from behind, She knew it was Rose, she turned and jump into Rose arms which she opened for a hug.

"How have you been doing" Rose asked.

"Good, what about you, man you've grown so much, I couldn't recognize you for a minute" Stella said with a wide smile on her face.

"Same here" Rose said making them giggle

"Look who it is" The MD Mr Chu said from behind.

"Oh, MD is this really you" Stella said shaking Mr chu.

"It sure is, am quite surprised you came, When Rose told me she was reserving a ticket, I had no expectations" Mr Chu said.

"That's my bad" Stella said.

"So, why are you here" Mr Chu asked.

"For the competition" Stella said.

"Are you participating" Mr Chu asked.

"No I just came to feel how it is to be an Animator again, I lost that feeling years ago" Stella said.

"Mm, I see, then why don't you come back to us" Mr chu.

"Yeah, Stella that's a nice idea" Rose said.

"Nooo, am planning on starting with an entire new Company" Stella said.

"I won't push because you are very hard to persuade anyways see you around" Mr Chu said and walked to the Counter.

"Let me grab a drink for us" Rose said.

"That'll do" Stella said, sitting on the soft chair.

Rose walked back to Stella and sat with the drinks on her two arms.

"Here" Rose said handing a glass to Stella.

"Thanks" Stella said.

"What the f**k is going on Stella" Rose said.

"I don't get" Stella said sipping her wine

"I can't picture it, but I think something's off with you" Rose said.

"I have nothing to say about that comment" Stella snapped rather politely.

"Then work at Jk Animations" Rose said looking serious.

"I don't want to and I really mean it" Stella said.

"Common, why" Rose said

"Well I can't possibly go back to my vomit, that's humiliating" Stella said.

"Stella, you know how the workers in JK are, they won't dare to judge you instead they'll be pleased to have you back" Rose said.

"Don't try convincing Rose" Stella asked.

"You better stop trying to play hard to get, I know you'll love to come back" Rose said.

" Even if I decide to come back I don't trust my abilities anymore it's been six years" Stella said.

"You could always learn from the boss" Rose said using her thumb fingers to point her chest.

"I guess" Stella said, releasing a laughing competition between them.
