Haunted Dream House "Let go of my mom, she screamed while trying to push off the creature trying to strangle her mother. The woman on the ground struggled with the creature. Hot tea welled up in her eyes as she looked at the figure covered in blood and dust. Though the dirt did not hide the glow of her golden hair under the moonlight, Her bright green eyes seemed to have lost their life. "Ser... Serene... I'm sorry, I couldn't protect you." The woman apologized, making Serene weep even more. "Find your sisters" was the last word the woman said before giving up the ghost. The creature crawled to Serena. She felt her entire body paralyzed and couldn't move a muscle. When the creature launched an attack on Serene, she closed her eyes, waiting for the pain, but didn't feel any. The only scream she heard was from the creature who came into contact with her blood. Upon realizing that the creature was afraid of her blood,she cut her arm and sprinkled the blood on the creature, who screamed loudly and disappeared into thin air. ... Serene woke up from her nightmare but couldn't move due to lying on the cold floor for hours. She looked outside to see the rain falling. "It's raining," she said slowly,while trying to stand up but failing to do so. She could only close her eyes and, with her broken lips, shiver uncontrollably. The next morning, Serene woke up to see the sunlight. She went upstairs to find her father, Liam, but heard him and his new wife, Curry,Curry arguing about her. "I don't think we should keep that girl in this one again." Curry told her husband, Liam, who frowned at their "What do you want me to do?" he asked while folding his arms together. Curry replied acutely,Send her way; she's a bad omen!. Bad luck, Liam." "She's my daughter. I can't just send her away; people are going to ask about her," he sighed as if helpless. "If it was possible,I would have sent her away a long time ago." Curry looked at Liam suspiciously when Aline interrupted their conversation. She walked down the stairs and caught Serene at the door of her parents room. She smiled slyly before approaching her and scared the little girl. "So it's up to the level where you don't have respect for elders, eavesdropping on people's conversations. You really have no manners." She said loudly, attracting the attention of Curry and Liam,who were surprised to see him there, and then flicked Serene's head. Curry snorted in her heart and then grabbed Serene's hand tightly. "You need to be taught a lesson; it seems like you've forgotten about the last one." She said it angrily while tightening her grip on Serene's arm, leaving a red mark there. Serene looked at her father helplessly, as if asking for help, but he walked away. Tears welled up in her eyes. Before she could even say a word of defense, Curry gave her a slap. "You ingrate! Why are you looking toward your father? Do you think he can help youu?" She pushed her away. Serene fell to the ground with her golden hair falling all over her face. Aline smirked when she saw how helpless and defenseless Serene was. She squated down, brushed Serene's hair away, and touched the slap mark, which stinged, making Serene withdraw her face. "Ha, that serves you right. Maybe because you don't have a mother to teach you manners,so I don't blame you; it's you who killed your mom. "She laughed again before walking away too, leaving Serene on her own. She grinned her teeth together,and tears rolled down her eyes rapidly. She slowly stood up and walked outside. She walked on the busy road without watching out. Seeing the creatures walking around, she prayed silently. "Please kill me too. I want to die. After all, I'm a murderer. I killed my mother." She started sobbing and squated down, waiting for a car to run her over. Soon, a car approached at high speed. Serene closed her eyes in hopes of dying, but an invisible force pulled her away. .... Meanwhile, inside the house, Aline is discussing this with her parents. She suggested that they send people to rape her, but her mom refuted the idea. "Instead, let's just sell her, right,right honey," she said, turning to Liam for approval. Liam readily nods his head when he hears about the money. He even suggested who they should sell her to. "I know a few businessmen who like playthings." Aline smirked and then praised her father. "Wow, Daddy, you're amazing," she threw herself into his embrace, and he in turn patted her hair affectionately, smiling from ear to ear. Curry also smiled at her husband's words and thought silently, "Thankfully, he doesn't have any attachment to that girl. Marie, just look how I got rid of you and your daughter. She snorted and then joined in the hug. Unknown to Serene, her family already planned to sell her. She walked back home and went to the basement. The only person who cared whether she had her meal or not was a little maid who was a year older than her. She secretly brought food for her every day, and today was no different. On getting to the basement,she carefully opened the door and walked in and saw Serene lying on the floor. Her heart broke, and she sobbed to bring her back from her thoughts. Serene sat upright and then looked at the maid, whose name was Karin. "I brought you some food. I personally made this, so eat well. "She urged her to eat as she gave her the plate. Serene mutely looked at her as if thanking her. Karin was already used to her silence; she knew what she wanted to voice out. "No need to thank me," she said, and then turned her face. She looked at the little girl, and tears welled up in her eyes again. "Serene,you need to leave here, okay? I'll find a place for you to stay. If you stay here any longer, I'm afraid they'll kill you." Karin said this to Serene, who turned to look at her. She dropped her food and drank a little water before slowly talking. "Who...?" Karin understood her words and patted her hair. "My grandmother,ever since I left, has been lonely. I'm sure she'd love to have you around." Serene nodded her head. As long as she wasn't anywhere close to them,she would be fine. .... Inside a meeting room, the employees there had their heads down; some shivered due to the coldness emitting from someone,while others bit their lips. Nobody wanted to explain what happened out of fear of losing their jobs. Suddenly the chair shifted, and Aurelius stood up and glanced at everyone in the room, including his Beta and Gamma. His cold and demeanoring gaze made them shrink in their chairs,and when he suddenly opened his mouth, they held their breaths. "You all can go home; work is closed for today." Although his voice was low, everyone in the room heard him and slowly released their breaths,and excitement filled their hearts. But that soon came to an end. "Tomorrow,you better give me a reasonable explanation as to where my two billon dollars went," his cold voice rang in their ears, and he left shortly. His Beta, Vinn, left with him, leaving behind the talkative Gamma,Karl. The employees gathered him and asked, "Did something happen today?" Karl just shuddered his shoulders. "Tomorrow is another day," he reminded them, which left the employees downcast. ... Inside the car, Vinn is driving while Karl is using his phone to play,and Aurelius is sitting in the passenger seat. Vinn, who started the car on Aurelius's command, has no idea where they were going. "Alpha Aurelius,where are we heading to?" Aurelius stooped what he was doing and looked at the rear mirror. "To meet my mate." Vinn temporarily lost control of the wheels but soon readjusted himself,but Karl had his mouth open and looked at Aurelius suspiciously all through the journey.
