Eve
I was silently praying, unsure where I was and unable to get a decent cell signal here.
“What is this place?” I spoke out loud to myself. It was like a horror film, but worse because I was actually living it. I stood, going to look out the window. All I saw were trees and mountains in the distance. There were some small houses farther back. People were in the yard moving chairs and tables and carrying large trays of food.
My stomach growled.
“He can at least bring me some of the food since I can’t leave this room.”
I glanced around again, hoping to find something that may indicate where I was.
I sighed, going back to the bed to sit down.
The doorknob turned and I started to speak.
“Ok, sir. You need to tell me—“ I stopped suddenly when a young woman with dirty blonde hair peeked in.
“Who are you?” She spoke rather snobbishly.
“I’m Eve. Who are you? And where the hell am I?” She stepped inside.
“I’m the future Luna of this pack.”
“Pack? What is this place?”
She inhaled and then scoffed.
“You’re human?” I nodded, a bit taken aback.
“No wonder.” She rolled her eyes.
“What are you doing in the Alpha’s room?”
“Alpha?”
“Girl, do you know anything?” She sat on the bed across from me.
“We are werewolves. And since you’re here, you should probably know that.”
I busted out laughing. When I calmed down, she was staring at me with a serious expression.
“Don’t believe me? Watch this.” She calmly stood. The sound that filled the room made me cover my ears. It was disturbing and gross. I opened my eyes to see a wolf standing before me. She was white with a grey tail and grey paws, which she licked and rubbed her snout with.
I jumped back, falling off of the bed. She came around and licked my face. I groaned, attempting to stand. Once I was on my feet, I shook my head. Backing away with my hands up, I missed the Alpha walking in. He looked at me and at the little white wolf. Without warning, he became a giant dark red wolf with white paws. He growled snapping his jaws at the little white wolf. I continued to move back until I was flat against the wall.
The little white wolf whimpered, bowing her head. I looked between the two, terrified.
The giant red wolf looked at me and grunted. Suddenly, the Alpha was standing before me, naked. I gulped, trying to look at everything but him.
He went to his closet to get some clothes. The little white wolf became the future Luna again. With her head bowed, she left the room.
“What was that all about?” My heart was racing.
He didn’t say anything as he left the room, locking the door behind him.

It was dark out. I was awaken by a tug of my pants. I sat upright, trying to see Alpha’s face in the dark. When my eyes adjusted, I realized it wasn't the Alpha, but some man. He looked wild, like an animal. I guess he technically was an animal.
He pinned me down and spoke in a chilling voice that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
“I can’t wait to taste you. You’re all mine, human girl.” He said the last part with a growl. I started to shiver. I just wanted to go home.
I tried fighting him, but he was too strong. Next thing I knew, my clothes were ripped off and I was slapped across my face.
Tears welled up as I tried to think about anything other than what was happening to me. I screamed loudly, hoping Alpha or the future Luna or anyone would hear me. I shut my eyes tight and saw a woman’s face. She had white hair and white irises. I thought I was dying.
"You are different, Eve."
I gasped and tried fighting again. Suddenly, the weight of the man's body was lifted and I heard the snapping and snarling sounds out in the hallway. I sat up, covering my breasts as tears still fell from my eyes. After a minute or two, there was silence. I heard heavy footsteps coming back toward the room. The figure of another strange man filled the doorway. He went to the bathroom and returned swiftly.
"Here." He walked forward, handing me an oversized robe. As soon as he turned around, I put the robe on.
"It's nice to meet you, Eve, though the circumstances were not ideal."
I only nodded. He slowly turned back around to face me.
"I'm Beta Lionel. Basically, I'm the Alpha's right hand."
I smiled softly, not sure what to say.
"The Alpha has decided to reject you as his mate."
There was that word again.
"His mate? What does that mean?"
"By now, you know we are werewolves. The Moon Goddess chooses our fated mates. Once we find them, we are mated for life and we live happily ever after."
I furrowed my brow and waited to hear the rest. He didn't say anything else.
"So I'm his fated mate?"
"Yes."
"How? I'm human."
"The Moon Goddess is tricky that way. We don't know why she chooses our mates; she just does." He shrugged.
"Enough about that. We are going to take you to the edge of the territory in about an hour. I will be keeping watch until the Alpha is ready to get you somewhere safe."
"I'm not safe here?" The question was dumb considering what had just happened.
Beta Lionel pursed his lips and then sighed.
"I get it. So how do I get back home?"
"You're a long way from Earth, Eve."
"What?"
"We're in the supernatural realm."
I gulped and held my breath for a few seconds.
"The huh?"
"There is a portal only accessible from our pack, at least in this region. The nearest Earth pack is Majestic Lake. That is where you are going. From there, you will have to figure it out. I wish I could help you more, but I've lived my entire life in the supernatural realm. I can't tell you a thing about Earth."
He looked sympathetic. I only nodded again. I was honestly terrified.
"No need to be afraid. Majestic Lake is a Divine pack. They wouldn't harm you."
I sighed in relief. That was one worry out of the way. But how was I supposed to get home?
"The Alpha will be here to fetch you soon. I have to get back to the party."
"Wait! What about ..." I glanced out into the hallway.
"He's dead." He gave me a wink and exited the room, closing the door.
This was quite a nightmare. I snuggled into the robe and tried to focus on the pros. They weren't going to hold me captive after all. I could make it home to my parents.
