Episode 6

Chapter 6

Skylar's POV

I am pretty sure that the entire pack heard Fenris and sure enough... soon after that the doors to the kitchen flew open and people came in running..

They all stopped when they saw my wolf, the former alpha Aaron was frozen in his spot, speechless with his mouth hung wide open in shock, same as Aiden, the only one not dazed with my appearance was Nico, sure he looked surprised that I was standing and was okay but soon his surprised expression changed to pride and my wolf wiggled her tail seeing her mate's approval. As soon as Nico's eyes fell on mine I walked over to him and nuzzled my snout under his arm, he immediately petted us and checked us over for any cuts or injuries..

"Angel, are you all right??" he asked, concern evident in his eyes

I nodded in reply and nuzzled him more and howled in happiness as his hands soothingly rubbed my fur, sparks flying through me... Seeing that I was okay Nico turned and roared

"What the hell happened??" he asked infuriated and turned to Ace

"Well, this crazy b***h of a Luna attacked Skylar, her own daughter, she came in the kitchen with Cara on her heel, screaming and yelled at Sky, blaming her, she was screaming that it was all her fault or something like that and attacked Sky, she injected her with wolfsbane while I was dealing with Cara"

"Where is Cara??"

"I snapped her neck when she broke Sky's arms" 

"SHE WHAT??" Nicola roared

Nicola's POV

Can't wait to get this meeting over with, as soon as I'm done here Skylar and I are gonna go back to our pack. After she told me that she isn't a legal member of this pack I was angry with her pack more than ever and it made me want to break the alliance with them even more, but on the plus side I didn't have to stay here longer to get the paperwork as Skylar was not a legal member of the pack, I was broken out of my thoughts by Aaron and his son

"Are you in agreement Alpha Morey"

"I am conflicted, my pack and I have no interest in keeping an alliance with your pack after your attack on the White Moon, you murdered an entire pack just for power and sacrificed the lives of hundreds of innocent pups and she-wolves, you took innocent lives and I do not support it, you didn't spare one life, and that I consider unacceptable, to make matters worse, White Moon was one of my greatest allies, and I wish to have nothing to do with the pack that destroyed them"

"Alpha, the slaughter wasn't planned, it was the outcome of the war that broke out, everyone knows of the rivalry that went on between our packs about the borders, it was never a secret so the war should not have been of any surprise to anyone"

"Aaron, we both know Alpha Kaden and Luna Haley were rightful owners of those lands, the late Luna connected her pack to Kaden's after they accepted each other as mates, those lands belonged to Haley's pack and since she was the only hire to her pack's throne, she owned it, so there was not an issue with the validity of them owning those lands, the problem was your greediness and thirst for undeserved power"

"The challenge was justified nonetheless alpha, and the slaughter was the outcome not a plan"

"Watch what you say young Alpha"

"I would watch my tone if I were you"

"Just answer the question Mr. Morey"

"My answer is still no and I won't change it"

"Are you sure your answer isn't influenced by the treatment your Luna was receiving from us?" 

"My mate has nothing to do with this, although the fact that you mistreated her and turned into a servant and didn't even give her a bed for 18 years that she has been here was just an addition to the list of reasons I wanted to break the alliance with your poor excuse of a pack, but my question is if you treat your own daughter who is your family, your blood and someone you should care for and love, as a slave, what does that mean for anyone who stays in alliance with you?? How will you treat them??"

"Aaron is this true??" alphas at the table asked in confusion

"We know of the girl, as your bastard daughter, but nevertheless, she is your pup..  we never knew you treated her poorly, and what is this about you turning a pup into a servant and what have the elders here been up to turning a blind eye to mistreating a pup, and what is the meaning of you not providing so much as a bed for her?"

Alphas at the table started rethinking their alliance as well which only made me happier

"I resign the alliance as well"

11 of the 15 Alphas present at the meeting broke their alliances with Aiden and his pack after hearing the truth about Skylar and how she was treated here... as the meeting was nearing the end and the Alphas made their way out, Aiden, Aaron and myself stayed back to discuss Eva's previous actions against my beautiful Mate.

"I believe you should link your mum and we shall discuss her attack on my Luna Alpha" I turned and spoke to Aiden

"She is on her way" before Aiden could get his sentence out the doors to the conference room opened and Eva came in, looking scared, I spoke again as she sat down next to her mate

"Aiden, usually I would call for the punishment that comes with attacking a Luna to tend to such matter, but since Skylar was attacked by her own mother I will not ask for the usual punishment which we all know calls for her death" Eva breathed a sigh of relief at my statement 

"But I want her to apologize to Skylar and she is not to go near her anymore, if she tries to touch her again or cause her any pain, I guarantee she will feel the pain that no living thing on his planet can survive" 

As I said that all three of them flinched but Aiden nodded in agreement

"It will be done, she will apologize and will leave Sky alone"

"One more thing..."

"Yes.."

"As the attack on my mate can't go unpunished, just apology won't cut it, i want the former Luna to live in the human territory for a year as a punishment where she won't be allowed to shift or use any of her wolf powers" Eva screamed upon  hearing my substitute punishment for her

"I will NEVER apologize to that good for nothing wolf-less b***h, and she is NOT my daughter"

"That is a lot of attitude from a she wolf whose alternative is to be punished by death, either accept my offer, which only stands before I walk out that door, or face the regular punishment, your choice" I said standing up 

"She will do it, actually she will do it right away, right mother?? You may go"

Aiden dismissed her

"I will never.."

"NOW MOTHER,  AND I AM NOT ASKING, GO DO WHAT YOU MUST AND DON'T YOU DARE DEFY ME"

Aiden ordered her in his Alpha voice which she couldn't disobey

"And pack your bags for your trip too, you will leave when Skylar does" 

With that Eva ran out of the room fuming, and we stayed back to sort out some paperwork, after about 30  

we heard an earth-shuttering roar of a wolf that was so powerful that it could only belong to the Alpha and as soon as I heard it I knew exactly who that sound belonged to 

"Skylar"

I immediately ran out of the room and hurried to my mate, as I was running to the packhouse Ace mind-linked me

*NICOLA GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW AND GET THE DOCTOR.. HURRY"

*Ace what the f**k is going on??" I roared through the link

*That lunatic mother of hers injected Skylar with wolfsbane and she is barely hanging in there, her pulse is weakening, HURRY MAN!!*

*I WILL KILL HER.. ON MY WAY, ACE KEEP HER ALIVE IF YOU WANT TO LIVE!!*

*Yes Alpha*

With that I cut the mind-link and ran faster looking back at Aiden I roared

"GET THE PACK DOCTOR HERE NOW"

I ran faster after telling Aiden to get the doctor and I could see the glint in his eyes which could only mean that he was mind-linking the doctor...

I ran into the kitchen but I wasn't expecting anything like the scene in front of me...

There she stood, my beautiful mate in her wolf form, I was surprised to see her awake but soon my surprise turned to pride, I was amazed at her strength and my goddess was her wolf breathtaking, it's fur was whiter than clouds and she was beautiful.. the fur was the same colour as Skylar's hair..

When our eyes met Skylar's wolf walked to me and nuzzled her head under my arms, I checked her over for any injuries but when I couldn't find any I let her snuggle into me more.. after I made sure she was okay I turned back to Ace and roared

"What the hell happened??"

"Well, this crazy b***h of a Luna attacked Skylar, her own daughter, she came in the kitchen with Cara on her heel, screaming and yelled at Sky, blaming her, she was screaming that it was all her fault or something like that and attacked Sky, she injected her with wolfsbane while I was dealing with Cara" said Ace

"Where is Cara??" I asked furious

"I snapped her neck when she broke Sky's arms" 

"SHE WHAT??" I roared

"She's dead man, calm down"

 Skylar's POV

"She's dead man, calm down" Ace said pointing at Cara's lifeless body

"YOU KILLED MY NIECE?? MY BETA"S DAUGHTER??"

"Well you should have taught her manners don't you think Alpha?? She attacked my Luna and I sure as hell wasn't going to let her do more harm, and I won't apologize for defending Skylar, if anyone else tries harming her again, this is how they will end up" Ace said pointing back at Cara

Nico patted Ace's arm in both agreement and gratitude after what he just said and nodded.

"Mum, is that true?? Did you attack Skylar.. AGAIN??" Aiden asked his mother but she never answered, she just hung her head

"I can't believe you mother, you JUST came out of the meeting, did you not understand anything that we discussed there or did you purposefully ignored and disobeyed??"

She still stayed silent but tears were rolling down her face.

"ANSWER ME MOTHER!! WHAT DID YOU DO??"

"DON"T TALK TO YOUR MOTHER THAT WAY YOUNG MAN" Aaron yelled from the back

"I am not a 'young man' now father, I am the Alpha and I want to know why anyone thinks that it's okay to defy me, are my orders not clear enough??" since Aiden is the Alpha now, Aaron couldn't defy his authority so he didn't speak further.

"Mother, we JUST spoke and you were let off easy after attacking Alpha Morey's future Luna and 10 MINUTES LATER YOU DO THIS?? You defied me again, you didn't do what was required of you and when there is a trial for you which there will be, I won't be able to help you in any way, the best I can do for you is start your funeral arrangements, you tied my hands mother" Aiden cried out and hung his head

As I was watching the scene unravel in front of me I realized that people were still staring at me and it made me very uncomfortable, I bumped Nico and let out a little whine and looked around me to tell him I was uncomfortable, when he took a look around me he immediately understood what I meant and covered me with his coat as I shifted back, once I shifted back, he put the coat on me and pulled me close to him, shielding me from the pack's preying eyes..

"Nico, can we please get out of here??" I pleaded 

"Of course, let's go angel" he said kissing the top of my head

"Ace, get the doctor and bring him to our room"

"On it"

"I'm okay, I don't need a doctor really"

"I want to be sure you are okay, wolfsbane is no joke, yes it will get out of our system but it takes a day or so and it's rather uncomfortable"

"But.. I am okay"

"Baby.. don't argue with me on this" he said and I didn't push it

As we were leaving the room Nico stopped next to Aiden and told him 

"This is NOT over, there will be consequences"

Aiden just nodded in agreement and with that we left for our bedroom

A few minutes after Nico and I got into our bedroom Ace and the doctor came, the doctor checked me over and said I was completely okay, and that the wolfsbane was fully out of my system which came to all of us as a shock, the doc then drew some blood and took it for some additional testing and left the room soon after

"Do you guys need anything??" Ace asked as he was about to leave as well

"I'm good man, thanks, babe do you want anything??"

"No, I am okay, thanks Ace"

"No problem Luna" he said walking away

"Hey Ace??" I called out

"Yes??"

"Thank you... for having my back and for protecting me and for caring too, thank you, it means a lot!!" I said tearing up and gave him a hug before he walked out

"Anytime Luna, you are a family now and we always protect our own!!" he said while hugging back and I smiled

We both chuckled when we heard a low growl from behind

"Don't be like that silly, don't tell me I can't hug my friends now" I said laughing

"I can't help it, it's Fenrir, he is .. possessive"

"Well, tell him that he has nothing to worry about" I whispered in his ear as I slid into his lap and wrapped my arms around his neck

He immediately hugged me and pulled me closer and pulled me into the most passionate kiss..

"How did you do you do it??" He asked as we parted, both breathless..

"Actually, to tell you the truth I didn't know I could do it, but when Cara broke my arms Fenris spoke to me.. She told me that we have some sort of powers, healing abilities... she wanted me to concentrate but when I was not getting any better and getting weaker she told me to shift

*Flashback*

*What the Hell??*

*Don't move, our arms are broken and there's wolfsbane in our system, but if you shift we can heal*

*WHAT?? We can't heal with wolfsbane in our system, it slows the process down and you are talking about healing our arms?? 

*I told you when we first met that we are no ordinary wolf and I meant it, we have powers that go beyond any supernatural being and our powers can only grow, they will come to you, we can't unlock them all at the same time and also it has to come naturally to you, like now, you need to concentrate on healing yourself, and if you concentrate hard enough, you can do it, I don't know what powers we posses but when we gain them, I can feel them, now concentrate"

*I can't... I am weak Fenris, I can't feel anything and I am super dizzy*

*Shift*

*What?? Are you crazy?? They'll see you*

*Your body isn't strong enough to heal on its own but if you shift I can handle it but you will still have to concentrate on our powers.. now shift*

*Okay...*

I was dumbfounded by the information Fenris just shared with me but I pushed those thoughts behind and did as she told me, I pushed myself to shift and when I was finally able to do that I concentrated all my energy on my bones and I could feel the power within me getting stronger, and sure enough, my arms were healed in a split second and I could smell that the wolfsbane was slowly fading away from my system as well.. after only a few seconds I could opened my eyes again..

*Back to present*

As I walked him through what happened and what all Fenris told me Nico was staring at me with disbelief..

"What do you mean you have powers??"

"I don't know, even Fenris doesn't know, but she says that whenever we can do something, like healing she can feel that she can do it"

"We will do more research on that when we get back to our pack, but for now I want you to know that I am very proud of you" he said before kissing me sweetly

"Let's go to bed my love, it's been a LONG day" he said and kissed me again

"Goodnight baby"

"Goodnight"
