“Are you going to be alright in here?” Aidan checked for confirmation from Chef, who still had Philippa and Lucia to help him clear down the kitchen. He’d just sent the last table’s lunches out with Bonnie.
‘Where are you going?’ Chef asked him in sign.
‘Nowhere special. I have someone I need to see.’ His signing was getting better by the day. Before Francesca went on maternity leave, they started signing to one another as practise. He’d learned so much in a relatively short space of time.
‘Can I come?’ Chef pleaded with him.
