“Thank you for finally bringing shame to this family,”
Picking up herself from the floor, Mrs Catherine Lomgman reached out for her handbag; looking at Lila with a twister face, she pushed Lila away from her body.
“I was raped”
Lila screamed. Forcing The entire room to return to its initial state of mutiny, as one could comfortably hear the sound of the next person's heartbeat.
“What a careless defense”
Liam responded as he leaned backward in his seat, more like the sound of his response gave him consolation for his growing hatred for Lila already.
“Enough of all this madness for a day. Drive with me. We are going home.”
Mrs Catherine Lomgman requested firmly without blinking, dragging Lila as she tried walking out.
“Go ahead, Mother, I still have an Engagement to rescue.”
Lila objected, pulling herself from the grip.
“You have no place here, go home with your mother at once.”
Liam exclaimed, pointing toward the door; he got up, pushing Lila out to join her mother.
“Fine, I will go.”
Lila said with her very flooded eyes,
“Better you b***h”
Liam said, turning his back on Lila to walk back to his seat.
“I know I should have spoken up when it happened, I know but nobody was there to listen.”
Lila, pulling herself toward the door, dropped her voice as she spoke as though intending to explain to them what happened now, but her voice was more of a whisper.
“I would drive my car back you can go back to your very busy life”
Lila scolded her mother Mrs Catherine,
Pressing the unlock button on her car, it gravitated both sides. Lila took a few steps closer; she reached out for the door handle and pulled it gently to herself.
Nobody cares.
Lila subbed as she pulled the door to close after taking her seat and fastened the seatbelt.
Vhum, the ignition responded as she strutted hard.

“Breaking News.
Top CEO Dies in a Car Crash.
Good evening sorry we have to bring you this very shocking news happening now…
CEO of Kings Global Company has been involved in a ghastly car crash.
Though the news seems disheartening, while many are asking what went wrong, some are blaming it on her daughter's failed engagement.
This…”
Lila turned off the radio system as she hit the brakes immediately. Her entire system halts and her hands shook towards the ignition; at full speed of light, she drove home.
“There you go, murderer…!!!”
Victoria yelled at her from the door.
“What…”
Lila tried to respond but got shoved off by Victoria's High tune which penetrated every bone and nerve of Lila,
“You finally killed your mother without shame, always pretending to be a good girl.”
Victoria increases the intensity of her voice, how.
“It's all my fault”
Lila muttered to me; she couldn't hold back her flooding eyes, her head swelling at every shout it received. Her legs grew weak, as her body couldn't carry my weight.
“Dad say something”
Lila looked at Mr Longman, dropping her jaw as she was expecting him to react. I could have known better he is a puppet to Victoria. She has got him locked up in her enchanted spells, she thought.
“What can I say”
Mr Longman's stuttering voice was all Lila could hear break the long room of silent cries.
“I'll leave you all and go for a fresh start, take everything, and let no one come looking for me.”
Lila, whipping her face gently, spiked out as she turned and walked out of the door.
“Run, run you lose b***h. Your mom has already infected you just before her death.”
Victoria yelled behind the closed doors, but all attempts to get into Lila's head couldn't penetrate as Lila's subbing was enough to close her from the continued torment from Victoria.

Lila POV
All I ever wanted was a perfect family. Was it a crime to be burned rich, or did it become a crime to inherit one, I didn't ask for any of this upon myself; my dad was already drunk in love with Victoria.
I remember those days when Dad would stand firm to defend me at all costs from Mother, even when I was wrong. Now, I can't even recognize my father; his post over Victoria can't let him realize he just lost his wife, my mother, the reason he has all the wealth he has right now.
Mom often told me about how he was all over her growing up and how dad could never get his eyes off her, but she never took it seriously as she was also seeing the same looks on his face and eyes secretly to other girls.
I still don't know why one has to get married to inherit the family wealth. Mom often complained about not being a family type and always ready for a busy life without commitment, but she made me believe I was the only good thing that came from my father.
For sure, Mom never actually showed she loved my father, but she was the type that gave him every amount he requested. She was the boss of our family, and Dad was just like me, always left to be alone most nights. But what can I say? That's not enough reason not to grieve over her; she never took it for granted. She saw me as the best gift from life, sent me to one of the best schools, and wasn't the type that would intentionally offend anyone, but she always got what she wanted.
The more I kept walking in my thoughts, the more I was running back in time, a race that reminded me of every event that led to the moment I was in.
I couldn't believe Liam was never into me; maybe that's Why I couldn't give in to opening up to him on what happened; I know myself that when instincts are against a thing, it's always played out to be right.
He always had holes about ending all of the Engagements if anything went sideways as he only wanted to merge and make his family company see the growth they wanted, but he wasn't ready for commitment.
Maybe I am just unfortunate, maybe I'm indeed a mistake. Why am I even existing when all I try to do ends up falling apart, when has it become a crime to strive to be the best, first I faced my Studies and shunned distractions just to focus on who I was betrothed to, instead I got hatred from the whole school and was labeled proud, now I have a baby in me for which I won't be proud of to talk about its paternity to anyone.
I can't subject my child to the same toxic life I grew into; I would make sure this child fries eight and never has any reason to regret its birth.
As I continued walking the part which continued to be a lonely walk, I felt a sharp pain below my novel, my back ached, and my legs grew weak; I could feel every motion from my feet through my spine into my head.
Not long after my knee bent, with much force, my body hit the ground, my vision blurred, and my head went straight against the ground, sending a shocking sensation to my spine.
Just when my eyes were about to close altogether, as the evening sun was getting hidden, giving way for the night, I heard a car horn blast me up from behind, but I was too weak to respond.
