Blurb

On a particularly radiant morning, Riley Kennedy found herself in a familiar predicament—late for work. As she hurried through the bustling streets, her mind preoccupied with the ticking clock, she inadvertently collided with a passerby. The jolt of the impact brought her back to reality, and she quickly apologized before dashing off, her thoughts already racing ahead to the day's tasks. Little did she know, the day's surprises were far from over. As the elevator doors opened at her office building, Riley stepped inside, only to find herself face-to-face with the man she had bumped into earlier. To her astonishment, he was none other than Ethan Alexander, the man she had only just met but whose presence now filled the confined space of the elevator……

Special encounter
In the early morning, the first rays of sunlight penetrate the mist and gently brush the earth. The sky gradually changed from deep blue to soft blue. Unexpectedly, the alarm clock didn't go off today. Riley looked at the time, skipped breakfast, bought a cup of coffee at the coffee shop, and rushed to work. She hurried through the hustle and bustle on her way to her job at the company. The shops on both sides of the street had just opened, their window displays gleaming in the sunlight, and the smell of fresh bread and coffee filled the air. Riley didn't notice the man in front of her because she was worried about being late, and the two ran into each other in a hurry. The coffee was all over the man's white shirt. "I'm sorry, if I meet you again, I'll make it up to you..." Riley apologizes quickly and continues on her way, praying that she won't be late. The man began to say something, but Riley was long gone. The man looked at his shirt, which had been stained with coffee, and felt troubled. At the entrance of the elevator, Riley anxiously waits for the elevator. When the elevator stopped on the third floor, a man walked by. Riley comes across the coffee stained shirt and realizes it's the same man. While Riley was in shock, the man looked over. The man looked like he had seen a ghost, and his face was full of disgust. "What a coincidence, we still work together." Riley began awkwardly, noticing the man's blackened face. "It was a special encounter..." The man forced a smile. Riley, by default, was out of luck, wondering if the elevator was broken and kept parked on the third floor. If God had given her wings, she would have wanted to fly upstairs. She doesn't want to be with this man for a moment. When the elevator doors finally opened, Riley walked in first, her heart racing with embarrassment and anxiety. The man followed, his expression still a mixture of annoyance. Because of the tension between them, this limited space seems even smaller. As the elevator climbed, Riley couldn't help but glance at the man's stained shirt. She felt a twinge of guilt and wished she could do something to turn the situation around. The man, on the other hand, seemed to be processing the events of the morning, his eyes fixed on the ever-changing numbers on the door. When the elevator reached Riley's floor, Riley stepped out with a tentative smile. "I'm really sorry about this morning. Let me pay for the dry cleaning, "she offered, hoping to make amends. The man paused and looked at her with a hint of surprise. "Never mind... really Accidents happen." His answer was softer than Riley expected. "My name is Ethan." He replied, feeling the tension ease a little. "I think we'll see each other a lot." Riley nodded, a smile on her lips. "I think so. See you later, Ethan." As they parted, Riley felt a surge of relief. Maybe this morning's accident wasn't so bad after all. It gave her an unexpected introduction to a colleague she might never have met otherwise. She walked briskly to her desk, ready to start the day with a fresh perspective. As soon as he sat down at his desk, Riley heard a discussion from a colleague nearby. A male colleague said to a female colleague, "Did you hear?" The female colleague was busy with the document, but when she heard something happen, she immediately stopped her work: "What's wrong?" Tell me?" "Don't you know?" The reaction of male colleagues can not help but feel that if you do not know this matter is out of the progress of The Times, back to the 2G network. Then the male colleague lowered his voice and said, "Our company is going to change. I heard that our company has been acquired and the boss has changed." The male colleague's voice was not too low, and Riley could hear it clearly.
