********** Smith family************ John Smith is middle aged man in his early fifties and he loves his family very much. You wouldn't say he is that much old when you see him because he really takes care of his body. Even though he is a middle aged man but he is still handsome. He is that kind of a man tall and handsome. He is not very rich but he is able to provide for his family. He owns a restaurent and has two taxis. He use it to transport community. He is well known for being strict but easy going when you don't provoke him. He is a very intelligent man and a very good judge of character. He is respected in the society. He married his wife whom he loves dearly many years ago. They met in high school with her. God blessed them with three kids in their marriage. Candy, Gift and Silo were the fruits of their love. Merry Lee who is now Mrs Smith was a popular girl in her school days. Everybody praised her as a goddess. She is still beautiful as those school days. Even after giving birth to three children she still maintain her figure very well. They're still inlove each other as if it's their first time meeting each other with John. Even when Merry's father was against their relationship when it started, Merry threatened her father with her life. Her father was dissatisfied with his so-called-son in law because he was not rich nor having a good family background and didn't have much to offer except for his handsome face. Mr Lee was conflicted because he didn't know John's family or his background. But still his daughter was crazy inlove with him. ************ " Dad..breakfast is ready, please come and eat..your wife is waiting for you". That was Candy, John's daughter calling on him. " Hahaha you naughty girl..isn't that your mom. Yeah she is indeed my wife." Mr Smith's lips curled into a beautiful smile whenever he mention his wife. " She prepared all goodies just for you. She doesn't even allow us to have a taste before you, she is stingy, hahahaha". John Smith is a father of three. His daughter is the oldest followed by two sons. His daughter is Candy, followed by Silo and last born is Gift. He loves his wife and his kids dearly especially his daughter. " Aah my dear, what do we have for breakfast? The aroma of the food has been filling my nose and my stomach is growling nonstop." Said Mr Smith while hopping to the table. "My dear husband.. I have prepared all your favorite food. I have scrambled eggs, fried fish,cheese, hamburger,etc." Said Mrs Smith smilling brightly. "Ooh guys come on. We're still young can't we..." Silo chimed in. " You brat..I'll whip you.. can't I show affection on my wife hahaha." Said Mr Smith pretending to be angry while smiling. " Dad she has been your girlfriend before I was born..why are you acting as if we going to snatch her away from you?" That was Gift. "The family bust into laughter. It was a very lovely Sunday". This family is always happ. They love and care for each other very much. " You brat! How dare you call me a girlfriend?" I'll whipp you." Mrs Smith said that as if she was really going to hit her son. " Hahaha Gift don't you know that our folks has been married for more than two decades?" Candy said that while pouring the juice on her glass. Silo opened his eyes wide and couldn't believe that. "Really?!" " Yes, we have been married for twenty two years (22). Isn't that a blessing? Explained by Mrs Smith proudly. " Hey hey Stop it now..let's eat..Candy please bless the food." Said Mr Smith with a smile. * Mr Smith doesn't allow anyone to talk when they eating. * This is a family rule and his kids respects him. " Let's close our eyes. Said Candy while standing up. They held hands with each other. " Father Lord we thank you for this scrumptious food that we are about to eat, Please bless our food and our cooker. Amen." Family: Amen. They ate silently because no one was allowed to speak when eating. After they done eating Mr Smith thanked his wife for a lovely breakfast and went to a lounge to watch television and read his newspaper. This was his habit to read a newspaper while watching economic news. Every day he reads the newspaper after having a breakfast before he starts his day. " Candy!! Candy!! Come here my girl I want to talk to you" " Yes dad I'm here". " Eeh...good..I want to chat with you with something." "Go ahead Dad what is it?" "My princess.. Are you really going to marry that scumbag of yours?" "What can I say..yeah I am going to merry him but I wish I could have my fathers blessings." Mr Smith squinted his eyes and his face darkened. He was hoping that his precious daughter will change her mind. " I see..You know I love you so much and I've been spoiling you ever since you were born, You are the apple of my eye but I am not very fond of that boy. I'm sorry to disappoint you on this. I can never give you my blessings." Candy's heart sank and was really hurted deep down by her father's statement. She was really shocked because her father has always give in, whatever demands she have.She doesn't understand why her dad is against this marriage. Her eyes turned red Sametime. "Dad! * Sobbing* why do you hate Hector this much? Do you know him? Do you know something bad about him?" Mr Smith's heart ached when he saw his daughters tears but he pretended not to see it because he made a vow to love and protect his family. "My girl do you trust daddy?" "Yes dad I trust you with all my life. Please dad tell me why do you think Hector is not good for me." "Good. I am telling you now, that boy is not suitable for you. He is bad news and I can't watch you throw your life and happiness away. Your future and happiness is very important to me. I can't just pretend as if I don't see that you are about to ruin your life" " But dad he is so nice. Hector is a church boy and I believe in him." "Church boy huh!? Is that how you see him?" "................." . Candy was silenced by sudden roar and sarcastic words. "Ooh you can't speak now! Okay I won't stand in your way but just know that I won't be there on your wedding day and I cannot accept any gifts from him or his family. It's fine you can go now. I have said what i wanted to say." " But dad......" " Off you go, I am done talking". Said Mr Smith impatiently. Mr Smith was very concerned about his one and only daughter. Sometimes he just wish he could tie her on her room so that she would be protected on any harm. His heart ached because he saw her crying but he couldn't comfort her. He couldn't comfort her with lies. " When will she wake up and see that, that scum is not suitable for her." * Sigh* **********Candy pov******** When I got put of the lounge after harsh talk with my dad..I couldn't hold my tears any longer. I just wish I could dig a hole and burry myself in there and come out when my dad gives me his blessings. How can I go on with my wedding when my father is against it. Ring!!ring!!ring!! That's my phone ringing. Ooh it's Hector. Hector is a man I got engaged to a few weeks ago. We go to a church together. He always treat me well, I don't know why dad is against him. Soon I picked up my phone and soon I heard a faint male voice. " Hello". " Hello baby how are you?". " I'm fine baby how are you?" " I'm good..you don't sound good..what's up?" "No I'm fine maybe I'm catching flu". I didn't want to let him know that my father doesn't like him and he is against our marriage. " Oh I see..I just miss you my love" " I miss you too..Babe let me prepare my outfit for today..I'll see you at church". " Okay sweetie, i love you so much". " I love you". After we hang up, I couldn't hold my tears any longer. I cried so hard. My heart is filled with bitterness and it's like someone is stabbing it with the knife. I am failing to understand why dad hates Hector. As much as i always trust my father but somehow this time i think he is misjudging Hector.I cried until my mom came to me to comfort me. " It's okay my baby..your dad will come around..maybe he is just afraid of losing his one and, only girl." " But mom he is not losing me, I will be only a few kilometers away. What hurts me most is that he doesn't tell me the reason why he hates Hector". Bohoo..* crying* " No its okay my baby..don't cry anymore otherwise you will get sick. I'll talk to him." Okay!?" "Okay". Soon I calm down, I felt much better after hearing my mom's comfort. I stood up to choose what I would wear at church. ***************** KINGDOM OF GRACE CHURCH He became a pastor after his father passed on. This church was built many years ago. It's building is about 600 meters squared. At the back there is a building that consist of six room where pastor and his family live. Henry Blaze is a man of God. He is fifty five years old. He became a pastor after his father passed on.He married his childhood sweetheart Cecilia and had a son with her The name of their son is Alex. After many years of their marriage, something happened and cause him to leave his wife and son and came to Pada City. He met Nancy and stayed with her. After two years of staying together they got a son, Hector. Even though he left his wife but he has never stopped giving her money everymonth. At first he did it openly but later Nancy fought with him and told him that if he keeps on sending money on Cecilia she will leave him because it means he is still inlove with her. Nancy is a woman in her forties but she looks like she is in her early thirties because she maintains her body very well. She is beautiful with her figure and tall legs. But being pastor's wife didn't change her life. She is a scheming and cunning woman on earth. Only God knows what she had done to separate Henry and his wife. ********Sermon at church********* Today's services is more exciting. The room is full because there are so many guests today since if was notified that, The mighty pastor Chad will be the one who is going to preach on this service. "Today were gathered here to hear his voice speaks to our heart, hallelujah! That was pastor Chad speaking infront of the congregation. Congregation: Amen Pastor Chad"Today I believe that our lives will never be the same again. I want us to learn on how to thank God. How to be grateful even for trivial things. Today's scripture is found on Palsms 23." The guy on the keyboard kept playing softly the song " You're Alpha and Omega we worship you my Lord.. you are worthy to be praised". Everybody was touched when they heard this song and the holy ghost took over. Others were praying in tongues, others lifted their hands and cried upon God. You could feel that God is among them. Surely the service went well and some people chose God as their savior. ****** Candy and Hector************ It was after church, Candy was heading to a gate when Hector followed her. "Hey". " Hey". " Today's services was really powerful". " Yeah it was indeed..this pastor is very powerful spiritual ". Candy replied faintly. " What! Are you despising my father now? or you were attracted to him Candy? I saw the way you looked and smiled at him?" Hector was agitated and Candy was stunned. " What!? Are you out of your mind? How can you think something like that by the man of God? Or you don't trust me huh!?" Candy became annoyed in such a way her face turned red. " I can see that you even smiling when you talk about him..are you..." " Enough Hector!!! That is enough!!! I won't stand here and listen to you insulting me and the man if God.I'll see you another time." Candy was really angry in such a way even her eyes turned red due to anger. When Hector noticed that Candy was really angry and is about to leave him on the spot, he tried to composed his emotions and chased after her. " Wait Candy!! I am sorry..I am stupid..I am jealous..please forgive me okay". Candy stopped in her tracks but didn't turn around. " I am sorry honey..you so beautiful that I don't want anything or anyone to separate us. You are..." " Yes you are stupid..at least you should believe in our love than judging me..you also complimented today's service...do I have to think you're gay!? When Hector heard that he was shocked and his mind went blank for a moment. Soon he came back to senses and try to calm down. " I am sorry okay!?" " It's okay, I'll see you later". Candy said coldly. " Are you still angry with me?" " No I'm not..I'm rushing to cook Sunday meal my dear". " Okay..can I get the hug?" " No Hector..people are looking at us." "Hey, why are you scared of people.. we're engaged and soon to be married". " Still we are not married yet so I think it's unappreciate. " Okay". " See you". She said that and quickly moved foward. What she didn't know was that there were pair of eyes that was looking at them. She didn't know that her father saw them arguing. This proved him he is right when he said this boy is not suitable for his daughter.
