Chapter 4: Superstition That night, after I got home from seeing Barrett I grabbed a beer, went outside sat on my front steps and stared into the darkness. I brought the cordless with me and dialed my aunt’s number. No answer. f**k! I shouldn’t get involved, was my first thought as I hung up and placed the phone by my side.
