Chapter-4 Submission Her green eyes stayed in contact with the brown wolf that was visibly an Alpha. He snarled mischievously at the Omega wolf in front of him. She growled back showing bravery, her chest heaving up and down. She shook herself, her hickory color fur swayed along. She stood tight in case the Rogue jumped over her. Her feet padded against the ground as she leaped in the air and jumped right over her enemy. He defended himself, by pawing at her shoulder and pushing the tinier wolf on the ground. He bit into the flesh of her shoulders, with his set of sharp teeth. A howl of pain escaped her mouth as blood slowly streamed down the cut. She scratched across his cheek, with her claws making him whimper and loosen the grip he had on her. Taking the advantage of the moment, she held his neck between her teeth. He howled for help, but before even the second yelp left his mouth, his breathing stopped. She howled in victory soon joined by other soldiers of her kind. Another rogue attack was stopped by the Crimson Canines. This was their job as werewolves, they were police and government all at the same time. She loved it, she loved the flow of adrenaline in her blood when she fought. The painful moans, the victorious howl, clanking of metal and the challenging glares. All of this had become a part of her. People were afraid of her, despite her kind. She was glad that Saige trained her just like all the Alphas, and that she grew up in a battlefield. Her bravery was all she wanted, it was her everything. When she turned back into her human form, her clothes were torn. Her white balloon sleeve top was missing the sleeves it used to have. A trail of blood was trickling from her neck down to her collar. Her slacks now reached her mid-thigh shorts and the cape that she was wearing before the fight was lost. But she was used to this, she wasn't ashamed anymore. She could either be a shy girl or a brave warrior. Her visage had long left the position of importance. She ran a hand over the evident wound on her neck, not wincing at the contact. Her green eyes were gaining back their humanity again. She started walking back to her group, with all the men slowly turning to their human forms. ‘Nice fight, Whisper.' Someone yelled from behind her. She turned around, her unraveled hickory colored hair flipped and she looked at the guy that would be the last person she wanted to meet. He was looking at her, like she was food that he found after years of starvation. There was the same evil glint in his blue eyes, that was always there. His notorious smirk was dancing on his lips, in an attempt to annoy Whisper. His black hair was disheveled and sweaty from the fight. The biggest trouble was, he was only in his shorts that barely reached his upper thigh, those too were almost falling apart. Whisper couldn't even tell if this was intentional of him or not. ‘Thank you Lucien, you too.' She replied, turning around in an attempt to leave him behind. They were great friends, but the seducing that Lucien had started when she was eighteen was too annoying. Now she was 22 she had stopped ageing, but Lucien had not stopped his flirting. It was strange, how even after becoming a warrior, she was still expected to stand up to her Omega positions. Lucien had confessed his admiration for her, on several occasions and on those occasions she had refused him without second thoughts. But he always came back, not because he had no self-respect but because he had a lot of it. Anything he wanted, he was used to get it. ‘Got you a shawl, thought the maiden would need it.' He extended a red cloth towards her. She chuckled humorlessly. ‘Don't you think you need it, more than the maiden that you've bought it for.' She pointed a finger at the shawl in his hands and then at his almost naked body. ‘Your rejections are heartbreaking. You reject everything I bring to you. The shawl or my heart.' He placed a hand over his chest and the Omega inside her, whined with pleasure but she didn't. She hated it. If there was something she hated more than Lucien's seducing efforts was her inner-self. The Omega who always worked against her will. More than physical training, she had to focus on mental training, so she could suppress her Omega on countless situations. ‘Lucien, you already have two mates. Stop this now, please.' She stated. Every Alpha had three destined Omegas and Lucien already found the two of them. Every year all the werewolves became the part of Lilac Moon Festival. The festival of mating. You found your mate there, and if you didn't than, that wasn't the right time. Whisper was lucky she hadn't found the one, yet. Because then she'd have to kill him, which she won't even have to do herself, as Lucien would do it with pleasure. ‘But they don't have what you do.' He smirked. She despised this side of him, where he was placing Whisper in a home breaker position . All the mates craved to satisfy or pleasure their partners. But a few Alphas, like Lucien, did nothing but broke hearts. That was why she was scared, because if Lucien does it, her mate could do it too. ‘Are you sure you are the son of King Lucifer. He was a great man, he stayed faithful to his wife, your mother. While you fall for every other stranger.' She declared. Lucien was aggravated at that statement. But his infatuation for Whisper, clouded his anger. If it was not Whisper, he would have ended the long life of that creature. But Whisper, she had his heart in her fist. ‘No darling, you're not a stranger. You call me Lucien others call me Alpha, that is enough of a proof, that your love is hurting me in the best way possible.' He stepped closer to her. She was tall for an average Omega but still shorter than the Alpha King. Soon he was towering over her. She sighed tiredly, looking away for a moment and then facing the Alpha in front of her again. ‘That is because we have been friends since we were young.' She answered. Soon, Lucien walked close to her. His hand wrapped around her waist in a rough embrace and she was backed by Lucien against a tree. Submit it is the best for us. Her inner wolf insisted, but she made a tiring effort to suppress it. She froze in his embrace with her hand, trying to shove his arm away. It was easy to subdue her Omega, but on occasion when Lucien offered up lot of attention, it became hard to overpower it. ‘That is because I let you.' He leaned in and whispered in her ear. A chill ran down her spine, but she refused to show it to an Alpha. Her refusal, that was her most extraordinary power. How she could easily refuse to things that, she didn't want, unlike other Omegas or Werewolves in general. ‘Move out of my way, Lucien.' She made eye contact with the reckless Alpha in front of her. Her inner wolf had submitted and tried to force Whisper on her knees making them wobble painfully , but she stayed while gripping the lines of her blurring determination. ‘Stop suppressing your inner Omega who is pleasured with the contact.’ He smirked devilishly. He knew that at one point she lost the control of her inner self. Whenever he tried to intimidate her, she came one step closer to lose herself to her inner self. Lucien was pushing the water that was already on the brim. He knew how to pull the right strings.‘You can't.’ ‘Of course, I can.' She replied fearlessly. Her wrists were shaking due to the fight going on inside her. Her wolf was telling her to submit, but she held tight. ‘Then why haven't you struggled, yet. Why didn't you run.’ He raised his eyebrows. He brushed his finger around her, slowly. She bit her lip in an attempt to suppress a moan. But then soon she gained the control of herself. She grabbed Lucien's wrist that was caressing her cheek, looking him in the eye. ‘Because I don't I run, I fight.' She smiled. Soon, Lucien pulled his wrist out of her hold. She could be stronger than other Omegas, but she couldn't be stronger than an Alpha. ‘I am glad; because that fight is what attracts me.’ He chuckled. ‘Submit.’ He demanded. Her knees were shaking because her inner wolf was forcing her to bend on her knees. But she held back. Stop you useless Omega. She ordered to her wolf. ‘I won't.’ She didn't break the eye contact, no matter how much she wanted to. Because at one point, there was nothing as scary as a wrathful Lucien. His eyes had darkened, and it felt like he wasn't being playful or smug anymore. He was being true and dominating, in a way only an Alpha can be. ‘For how long, someday that wolf will take control of you and that day I'll take the control of that wolf.' He had only stated the truth. But nothing makes somebody as angry as, a declaration of a fact that they can't change. ‘No you won't because that day would never come.’She was denying the truth, she was running form it like a coward. When she ran she felt, it wasn't following, only if she knew that when she'll stop she'll bump right into the truth. ‘Of course it will, because no matter how much you deny it, you are an Omega. You are made to submit.’ ‘I AM NOT AN OMEGA.’ She screamed with fury. She hated being called an omega. She didn't want to be one. Because from the very start, she was taught that Omegas were weak. She didn't ask for that name, it was forced upon her. Lucien couldn't us her unwanted title against her. ‘Keep kidding yourself.' He laughed and then left. ‘In the Palace, now.’Lucien ordered the group. ………. All the important members of the troop stood in the courtroom, with Lucien sat on the throne. They were prepared to listen to some really cold words. Talon and Whisper looked at each other with knowing looks. Lucien ordered everyone to get dressed and meet the king in the courtroom. He had something important to tell. Which meant nobody was allowed to take medication. To Whisper's pleasure he was fully dressed this time in his royal majestic clothes, that included a white overcoat with black snood and slacks. The only part Whisper hated about being in the palace was dressing up like there was no tomorrow. You needed to look exquisite at all time. Royals loaded themselves with jewels while their soldiers wore battle gear almost 24/7. ‘How many heads present in this courtroom think we won.’ Lucien questioned. All the 16 members in the courtroom raised their hands to show their approval. ‘We've lost.’ He declared. ‘We killed the Rogues.’Dane one of the troop heads said. Lucien laughed as if it was plain humor. ‘They killed a pup, three of our men are injured, their leader fled away.’ He informed. ‘You still say we won.’ Whisper wouldn't deny that Lucien had some Nightshade blood in him. He was a great king, only if he could be a better man. He shook his head at the troop leaders. 'The Lilac Moon festival will be perfect for these Rogues to attack. Don't get involved with your mates and pay attention to the duties.’ He commanded. ‘Yes, Sir.’ All the troop leaders said in in a sync. ‘Dismissed.’ He waved his hand. ………… Whisper started walking across the hallway to reach the dining hall. Her stomach was growling with hunger and she needed to feed herself. It was a chaos these days, Lilac Moon festival was about to arrive. Which meant thefts will become more violent. Plus, it was the best time for enemies to attack. Obviously their duties increased. ‘Beautiful walk you have there. I bet it helps you tempt the Alphas.’ A very known someone called from behind Whisper. She rolled her eyes to herself. She could really bump into Lucien at that moment, but not ‘her'. She turned around to face none other than Titania Nightshade, the first Luna or Lucien's mate. Titania was dressed like, this is the last time she could get dressed. She looked absolutely gorgeous, but Whisper never understood this obsession of the royals with dressing up. She was wearing a tight, strapless olive green dress that reached her mid-thigh, with a fringe choker that reached her belly button. ‘Beautiful necklace you have there. I bet it helps you keep your neck down around Lucien.’ She smiled and then turned around again. She started walking not paying attention to the Luna behind her. Titania despised her with all her heart, according to her, Whisper was seducing Lucien. While it was a vice-versa. Titania hated Whisper with every cell present in her body. Whisper attracted Lucien without even trying to do it, while the two Lunas did everything they could so Lucien would glance at them. He was an Alpha, he betrayed shamelessly. Both the Lunas knew that he was into Whisper. Both of them was aware of the fact that Lucien went to her, but sometimes you just need to blame others, so you don't end up blaming yourself. But Whisper didn't want that attention, it was forced upon her just like her identity as an Omega. ‘You know you’ll remain a w***e there is no way you can become the Luna.’ Titania said. The blood inside Whisper boiled. No one could call her that word. She struggled her entire life, so she is not being called what other Omegas are called. SLUTS. And when finally she was on the spot far from just a s*x object, she was still seen as the one she was at the start. ‘You are still alive because you are Lucien's mate. Your husband comes to me, even when I push him away. So stop blaming me because your mate doesn't love you. If you remain your conceited self, he would never.' She stated than walked away, not sparing the Luna behind her another glare. ……………
