Preface
It was August 28th of 1500, in London in the middle of fall, and a lone wolf omega wandered the woods near her beloved clearing, feeling the crisp, cool breeze nip at her skin as it passed through the cotton fabric of her long-sleeved dress. Slowly treading her feet through the wet grass as the sun set through the trees, growing ever darker as she reached her favorite tree, the one that stood as a sign that she was almost safe in the meadow, the strong oak that she had scarred her name and claws in after her first transformation, yet little did she know that she was not alone, not this night. In the midst of the falling night, Elara thought she was alone, as she was every night sleeping in the cool grass with her fur to keep her warm. Elara was a snow-white wolf with silver eyes, and she was wanted by anyone who came across her; white wolves in the area were quite rare, but she knew the places to hide.
Under the shadow of the night, a man of bold stature and dark black hair walked through the woods, using the silence to clear his mind, but something kept him from staying focused on the calm. A scent lingered in the distance like a light in the darkness, like a high allowing him to escape the chaos of his responsibilities as an alpha. Alpha Jeremiah, a man of few words but many demands, was arrogant, sarcastic, and quite ruthless towards anyone in his sight. But something about the scent in the air heightened his senses and put him in a daze, drawing him deeper into the woods. As Alpha Jeremiah made his way deeper into the brush, he eventually came to the large carved-out oak tree at the entrance to the meadow, but froze when the scent hit his nostrils at its strongest. It was a woman, with ice-blonde hair and sun-kissed skin. She lay in the middle of the meadow, open and free to whoever came upon her. "Who is this woman, an omega? I can smell her wolf; she's in heat." Alpha Jeremiah's wolf, Felix, spoke from inside his head.
"I had never seen this woman before, Felix, not even around the packhouse. She doesn't belong to us. I don't think she belongs to anyone," Jeremiah responded, keeping his voice at a whisper.
"Jeremiah, walk up to her, but don't be your normal arrogant self. Can you try to be a gentleman?" Felix asked as Jeremiah immediately shook his head, ignoring his wolf's request as he left the tree line to approach Elara from behind.
Jeremiah walked through the meadow, closing the gap between him and Elara, when she heard a twig snap and immediately turned around to find Jeremiah standing within less than five feet from her. She froze, unsure of what move to make next. Elara wasn't the bold type; she was actually quite timid, shy, and innocent compared to the other omegas in the realm. "Hera, what do I do?" Elara asked her wolf, frozen with fear.
"Ellie? Elara? You are strong. You took on a rogue wolf last week and walked away unharmed; don't act like you are intimidated by that alpha. You are in heat. You need a man," Hera responded to Elara, feeling her take a deep breath before standing up.
"The way her dress blows in the wind and how it hugs her curves so perfectly. I can't resist her, Felix."
Felix groaned with yearning; he needed to be closer to her, longing to have her bare skin against his. "I need to touch her; she will be ours."
Elara stood frozen with fear and wondered about who Alpha Jeremiah was; she had never seen or met an alpha wolf before, and he was obviously stronger than the rogue she fought the week before. Mesmerized by Jeremiah's structure, full arms, and shoulder-length black hair scrunched in waves along his upper back, Elara couldn't help but resist the unfamiliar burning between her legs. She had never yearned for another wolf before; she had always lived on her own since running away from her home. Standing there in the middle of the meadow, Elara tried her best to slowly back away from Alpha Jeremiah, unsure of what was happening, but then stumbled over her own two feet. Before she could touch the ground, Jeremiah quickly closed the gap between them and held her in his arms. "I have to know your name. Who are you?" asked Alpha Jeremiah as he stared deeply into Elara's eyes, feeling her skin flush under his touch.
"Elara. My name is Elara," Elara responded, unsure what to think about a man's touch. She had been without any wolf or human connection, let alone ever a man's touch, which she had never had.
"Elara, like honey and silk." Alpha Jeremiah loved the way her name rolled off his tongue as if he could taste the syllables.
"Thank you, um?" Elara lost her train of thought, feeling her thighs become warm, soaked with arousal.
Alpha Jeremiah is pulled closer into her eyes, feeling his body heat up as she presses against him; he can't resist her anymore. Jeremiah pulled her closer till there wasn't even a centimeter of space between them and then ran his left hand up the outer side of her thigh. "Have you ever been with a man, Elara?" asked Alpha Jeremiah as an expression of embarrassment appeared on Elara's face.
Biting her lip and pointing her eyes away from Jeremiah's gaze, Elara responded, "No. I have never even had a man touch me. I only transformed for the first time about a month ago."
"Oh, so you have no idea what's going on with your body right now? You probably have a lot of questions as to why your body is heating up and why your dress and panties are soaked right now. I can tell by the moist spot on my denim jeans," Alpha Jeremiah responds as Elara darts her eyes back at him. "You are in your first heat after your wolf transformation. It's normal; it happens to those like us — shapeshifters, I mean. If you want me to let you go, then I will go," Alpha Jeremiah said, trying his best to show his good side and show Elara some ounce of respect.
"No, you don't have to go, and thank you for catching me; I am very clumsy. But, um, can I ask your name?" Elara asks, biting her bottom lip.
"My name is Jeremiah, Alpha Jeremiah. I am Alpha of the White Moon Pack just in those woods behind me. How long have you been out here?" wonders Jeremiah as he saw Elara's cheeks grow flushed.
Elara was unfamiliar with how her body reacted to someone else's touch; Jeremiah made her feel different, made her feel alive, and made the world seem less lonely and small. "My breathing is getting heavier, my thighs are drenched, and there's a burning, a yearning between my legs making me desire him. That touch, that feeling of his hand on my thigh, I like it; it's like my body wants it. Should I let him keep going? Yes, I want him to keep going. Hera, do we want him to keep going? Do we long for him to move his hand higher up my thigh?" Elara wonders, staring into Jeremiah's eyes before she opens her mouth to speak. "I have been out here in this meadow since I was about fourteen years old when I ran away from home," Elara responds shyly, not ready to reopen those scars knowing they still felt fresh.
Jeremiah tilts his head, confused, and then lays Elara down gently on the grass as he feels her heart begin to race. "Elara, breathe, honey. You are extremely aroused, but if you want me to stop, I will," Jeremiah said as he watched Elara's breathing increase, adjusting his hand at her waist to better support her weight on his thigh.
"Jeremiah?" Elara mumbled Alpha's name, feeling her body heat up with anticipation to be claimed.
"Yes, beautiful?" Jeremiah questioned as Elara tightened her grasp around the back of his shoulders.
"Will it hurt, you know, being with a guy for the first time?" Elara wondered, tucking her head into Jeremiah's neck as the musky scent of his pheromones reached her nostrils.
Jeremiah lifted his head to stare into Elara's eyes. "For some, yes, but for others it's just discomfort, but I will try to be as gentle as I can. Do you want me to keep going? Jeremiah responds as Elara nods her head and takes a deep breath, thinking about how her first time would go.
As the night carried on, things continued to heat up, leading from one thing to another until both had reached their desired goal. Adjusting his jeans and fastening his black leather belt, Jeremiah swooped Elara from the ground and carried her through the woods back towards his home, hoping that Elara would make it to her home too.
