I watched Kaela play on the floor while I sat with Dawn. She squeezed my hands tightly and I looked at her.
“Do you still want to leave?” She asked me. Did I really want to leave? I asked myself the same thing.
“I have no choice Dawn”
“You have a choice Maia. You don’t have to go away from all this”
I sighed. “Just get everything ready Dawn”
The only choice I had was to leave Adrik and all this and start a new life with Kaela and Dawn. There was no other option for me.
I cursed myself. Two months ago, I would have no issue leaving after my revenge was complete. But I didn’t plan to fall in love.
And I couldn’t lie to myself no matter how hard I tried. I was in love with Adrik and a selfish part of me wanted to stay and enjoy the life I would have with him.
