Chapter Five - The big bad wolf

692 Words
Fae was exhausted after the shopping trip with Sara. What was suppose to be a grocery shop ended in the clothing and decor department. Sara said she only had Tom and didnt ever get to enjoy a daughter company, now she was getting two, Sam and Fae and was going to make the most of it. Fae smiled remembering Sara refer to her as the daughter she never had. Hopefully Sam can take on the role of shopping daughter though. Fae laughed to herself as she finished unpacking the last groceries. She turned to look at her new home. The ladder shelf Sara had gotten her took up the corner of the living room, but the salt lamp and plants did make the room look more homely. Now with her books unpacked on the remaining spots on the shelf, the throw and pillows on the sofa - the room looked complete. Fae sat down on the sofa, and put the TV on, with the cool breeze from the open door caressing her skin - Fae dozed off.                                                 *                                      *                                             * It had been 3 hours since Tom and Samantha left his office. Tyler hadn't been able to calm himself down. His family, the two most loyal people in his life that he would do anything for, stood in his office trying to convince him to give the human a chance. Make her an official member of the pack they said! How dare they. Tyler threw his fist onto his desk. He was beginning to see red. Lets go for a run? His wolf Hades suggested, it wasn't a bad idea. Hades hadn't been for a run in a while with all the paper work that needed doing, and a run always helped clear Tylers head. "Sounds like a good idea Hades. I'll even hang back and let you do it all" Hades liked the idea of having full control. Tyler walked out to the forest line at the back of the pack house. He looked inside between the trees, even with the full moon and all the stars the forest was pitch black. That's where the pack had gotten their name from - Dark Forest Pack. His great grandfather had started this pack with just 10 families almost 100 years ago. Tyler stripped off his clothes and let Hades shift. Hades shook out his fur and howled to the moon. The soft breeze on his muzzle felt great. Before Tyler could say anything, Hades sprinted into the darkness. His eyes adjusting quickly and seeing the forest as if the moon was below the tree tops. Tyler wasn't paying attention to where Hades was running until he noticed the familiar house of his childhood friend and godparents. Hades had brought him right to Toms parents home. "Hades, what the hell are you doing!" He growled. Hades rolled his eyes and stalked his way through the trees in the backyard and around the hedge until he was facing the cottage him and Tom use to hang out in as teenagers. "Its bad enough Tom let her stay here, why are we here!" Hades huffed and waited for Tyler to stop arguing. Tyler - stop, focus. Do you smell that? Tyler stopped the smell of roses and something sweet hit his nose and made them both shiver with pleasure. It's her Tyler, it's our mate. before Tyler could stop him Hades was on the porch and staring through the open sliding door - the woman lay sleeping on the sofa, strands of her dark hair which was coming out of its messy bun, framed her face. Little soft snores escaping her parted lips, her chest caught his eye, she was bra-less and the breeze had caused her n*****s to push against the thin fabric of her shirt. Hades whined, he wanted her to wake up, he wanted her mated and marked. He had been waiting 12 years for this moment. "Hades, give me back control NOW - this is not happening, she isn't one of us!" Hades whined again, louder this time. His mate stirred and slowly opened her eyes and looked straight into his.
