Loving him

CHAPTER 10

Sleep had been foreign to Nelson for the past couple of weeks that have passed, you couldn't tell though he was sleep deprived if you didn't know the man very well but if you did, it was clear as day that he needed some rest. Most of the time his mind was always occupied by a particular woman whom he hadn't seen in a while. A woman who had managed to make a home in his heart.

The day of the inspection or observation by the boss and managers in the factory came, Nelson Kimble was going to join in as always. He had went to work early that day to complete some of his unfinished paperwork work he had left the day before.He wanted to complete the work before the walk about or the inspection in factory start, because his boss told him he was going to need it during the meeting that was scheduled for the afternoon on that day. He managed to finish his work just before his called up by one of his colleagues to come and join them cause they were starting the inspection.

He left his office and went to join the team.they started the observation of the factory checking for cleanliness, safety, progress of the new project in the factory and so on. Nelson was feeling a lot of emotions while walking around the factory some of those emotions were excited and nervousness and dread.

The truth is the reason why Nelson didn't finish his paperwork the day before was because he couldn't concentrate on his work properly mostly cause of the lack of sleep and the heaviness he was feeling in his heart that he was trying to ignore but couldn't. He knew he was going to see Anna the next day after it had been a while without even calling her to talk to her.

"she must be hurt and have a lot of questions" he thought to himself. He didn't want Anna to hate him cause he still loved her . His mind was in a jumble that day so because no work was being done or finished and before he made mistakes he decided to call it a day, He packed up and went home early.

So the walk around the factory continued until they reached Anna's department. Nelson heart accelerate when his eyes spotted Anna. She was busy working with other employees in their department and it looked like she hadn't notice them coming.His heart was beating fast to the point where he felt like his colleagues may hear it. He started looking around to see if anyone was paying attention to him. Only to find out his colleagues were just doing their job inspecting.

He continued the walk with the team his eyes on Anna wanting and longing for her to look up at him but Anna was just not looking his way even though it looked like she had seen them since she had stopped working and moved one side but not too far from her work station for them to check the area. He absent minded check her area looking up now and then for Anna finding that her eyes are fixated on the floor. Frustration started to build up in him needing their eyes to meet so maybe he can read her face and understand what she was feeling or if she hated him. The thought alone of her hating him leaves a pinch in his heart.

Being in her presence again even though he knew she was ignoring him,he felt all the restraint he thought he had build up to face her trembling down. It also felt like he had been holding his breath for a while and only now he can be able to breathe again because he was seeing her.

His mind and heart were chanting " Please look at me,please look at me, please look at me so I can be okay again even if it for a moment, please, please " he was heart was in turmoil for the short period of time being in her presence.

Anna was no better she felt Nelson eyes on her, she wanted to look up or glance at him but for some reason she couldn't. She was a nervous rack she was shaking from where she was standing. A lot of things were going on in her mind like, the longing she felt, emptiness she had been feeling and the uncertainty of her relationship with Nelson which almost made her cry at that moment.

After some moments if her struggling to keep it together she felt a present beside her, afraid to look up she remained looking down until the person whispered "are you okay " at which Anna nodded saying she was fine without looking up. Jonathan discreetly grabbed Anna had and hold it tight. Anna panicked and looked up at Jonathan with a questioning face before looking around to find Nelson eyes boring at them.

As soon as Anna and Nelson eyes met, more emotions build up on both of them which left Anna unknowingly trembling but not looking away. Obliviously to Jonathan as to what was going with Anna at that moment, he thought she was scared maybe of the bosses or something he squeezed Anna's hand that he was holding discretely to make sure she felt that he was there for her always she not alone on whatever was going on with her at that moment. He was worried about her.

Anna had been missing and still was missing the man very much she wished it was just the two of them at that moment so she can be in Nelson arm but it wasn't. They were at work in the presence of their work colleagues. Anna eyes were filled with tears but she never tar them away from Nelson.

Nelson saw when Jonathan took Anna's had and held it , He felt angered by it .He didn't know who the boy was and didnt understand why he was holding Anna's hand so comfortable. Nelson only looked away from Anna when the team finished inspecting Anna's department and proceeded to other areas in the factory. He was the last one to leave but not before looking at Anna one last time, leaving her looking at him until he was out of sight.

"Are you that scared of the bosses Anna ?" Jonathan asked Anna in a concerned manner few minutes after the bosses left, Anna seemed to be looking dazed so Jonathan slightly shook her to get her attention "hey Anna " he said getting more concerned. She came out of her trance after a few moments and saw Jonathan concerned face.

"Anna are you okay ?" Jonathan continued asking Anna questions. She answered eventually and told him she answered yes. "are you sure ?" he asked again.

"I'm fine , I promise ....I... just ....hey let just continued with work okay .. come " she said to him pulling him to his work station. Jonathan reluctantly went to his working station but not before telling her they were still gonna talk about what had happened later on ,at wish Anna sigh and said fine because over the short period of time she had known Jonathan she knew he was not gonna let it go. She went to her station and tried to work.

Her mind was occupied with her love the whole day that day longing to be with him again. At the back of her mind though, she kept on wondering why he wasn't trying to contact her like he did before. "Doesn't he miss me" she thought, A lot of questions were on her mind about her uncertain relationship with Nelson.

She finished her day at work with her heart and mind in turmoil.

After work,Jonathan gave her a lift home as usual. They arrived at Anna's house and he parked the car and they both went inside to relax a bit after a long day at work and simply just talk about anything as per the routine they had created as friends.

Anna was kind of nervous that Jonathan will bring up the situation that happened at work that day but likely he never did bring it up on the conversation they were having once inside the house and she was glad he wasn't talking about it because she really didn't know what answers she will give him without sounding suspicious like she hiding something of which she was. She knew Jonathan was a very inquisitive person and convincing him of anything wasn't going to be easy.

After spending sometime in Anna house it was time for Jonathan to leave. Anna accompanied him to his car where they hugged and Jonathan kissed her forehead before he got to his car and drove away.

Unbeknown to both of them someone has been sitting in his parked car for sometime witnessing their whole interaction and getting jealous out of his mind.

After Nelson had seen Anna at work he couldn't concentrate on anything else. It was like seeing her have caused all his feelings to go on overdrive. He suddenly was missing her too much. So after work he drove to her house to see her but when he got there he saw a car parked there and knew she wasn't alone. He decided to park somewhere and wait for whoever was with Anna to leave. So when he saw a guy leaving and Anna accompanying him, it wasn't that big of a deal until he saw the guy hugged and kissed her. The action felt so intimate to him.He felt jealous because Anna seemed to be very comfortable in the other man's arms."She shouldn't be so comfortable in his arms I'm the only man that she's supposed to allow to touch her".

He grabbed the steering wheel tightly looking at Anna descending figure. He sat in his car for a while contemplating to get out of his car and go to the house. At the end he never did went in, he just drove off.
