THE BEGINNING OF EVERYTHING
"Alanna!1!", what is happening to me? Where am I? Why is everyone shouting and calling my name? Well, all this happened a few months ago before everything became bizarre. Before I go to the drama scene let me all entice you to my so called bizzare life. A door knob can't open without a key and a flower can't blossom without its rightful nutrients. This is how my life is. We don't always get what we need , we all believe in different things , have our own different desires for what one wants and hopes for the future, but I know that even if we move on and start focusing on other desires and needs, our past tends not to forget us. The past has its good remarks and bad remarks. The good remarks help us to grow more intellectually and emotionally, while for the bad remarks, it's like we are being constantly reminded of what we did wrong and of what others did to us that made us become a whole new different person. People, people on the other hand, are like bad seeds that ruin good seeds from generating. Like a flower, it does not care about the seed that is preventing it from blossoming. If it wants to show its colors, it will show its colors and each color represents something that's so unique and phenomenal, but when the bad seed keeps on pouncing on it, it's beautiful colors that represent the whole human race, and tend to fade a lot faster than we thought. That's why it is said that, "Not All Flowers Blossom Others Fade". Let me all enlighten you about myself a little bit. My name is Alanna Gawa, I am sixteen years old, I am a believer of Jesus Christ, I am half Zambian and South African. My dad is South African and my mom is Zambian. I live with both my parents and also get to explore the other end of my origin, the South Africans. Even though I am an African, one thing I would like to say is Africa is a very beautiful continent, so and are also the other continents. But one thing that makes Africa bring out it's greatest is the culture and cooperation they have with each other. My mother is more like a tourist. One thing I love about her is that she likes exploring different countries and continents so that she can understand their way of style and culture. I love exploring, I love expressing and learning new things. But one thing that shocked me was that someone could easily wash away your beautiful smile and only feel it with sadness and hatred. Six years ago, my life changed, everything about me changed, my beautiful personality, smile, hopes and dreams all changed and nothing helped me to bring it all back. This was all drenched away by just a piece of paper. How terrible one's life can be when it is turned upside down by something that's so small but deadly. Let me go back through memory lane..........Ten years ago, I was a small little six-year-old girl who didn't know anything about the dangers of living in this life. Chimanga Street in my town is the deadliest street one would ever want to encounter and, to make it worse, my school has just closed it. Every day of my 365 days I would knock off from school and pass by that street waiting for my mom to come and pick me up. December 18th is the most tragic day of my life I will never forget. The clock struck 13:00 hours, which meant that it was time we all went home and also meant that class was over. Before everything flashed before my eyes, I meant him.......he just stared into my eyes and I was caught by his look. As young as I was, I was hoping to know who he was and why he was looking at me like he knew me already, even though we were just strangers. He was seven and I was six, the same grade but different classes. Every time I saw him, we would just gaze into each others eyes. I wanted to know him, where he is from?, his name, just everything, but unfortunately I was never given that opportunity. The bell rung and just by the ringing of the bell, things that i thought wouldn't happen happened. On that day, my mom was working overnight and my dad was out of town doing some work-related stuff, which meant I needed to walk home. As I was walking towards home, I was with my friends Ammy, Tricia and Martha. These were my friends and also my buddies walking home. As we were going through shops and walking out without getting anything, we came across a man, not an ordinary person who minds his own business. This man we meant was along Chimanga Street and we didn't know that we were in that street until one of my friends, Ammy, said and shouted that we were in Chimanga Street. Then it clicked my mind. This is the deadliest street that deals with all the illegal stuff such as, drug dealing, human trafficking, killing, all these illegal and horrible activities. My friends and I joined hands together and we started to run fast like cheaters, hoping to get home fast but........to our dismay, we found the man on the other side and he brought out something that was deadly and it made a sharp sound!
